I still think about my stay here now and then. For the price, it truly is one of the best places to stay in my opinion. We stayed in the highest room, which was around the 400's. The other reviews said that the stairs were killer, but if you view it as an exercise, then it is totally for you! Other than that, the room was nice and well put together, check-in was a breeze, and the bathroom was great as well. But I think the main reason why I give it such a high score is that it's far from touristy areas. When you go to the town of Oku, you feel like a local, no tourists to see. The restaurants are local, and the amenities were prevalent as there was a closeby laundry, 3 convenience stores, and only an 8-minute walk from the nearest station that is not too far for you to walk.

Those stairs are hell on the feet. However, since it's something that cannot be changed, I think it's a little charming; but yeah it is steep. Other than that, the bed was a little uncomfortable, but not too bad, and unsure how to clean the dishes. We had cups but we had no clue how to wash them as we were not given sponges or anything at all, and couldn't find any dish soap or cups in our local convenience store.

1 station away tokyo station, 2 stations away ueno where you can ride skyliner train (ueno-narita airport).

Excellent value for money. The flat is very clean and functional. It is located 5-10 min walk from the metro station which connects well to the centre so it is very easy to get to the centre. The owner was very responsive and allowed us to drop off our luggage before check in. I recommend

Liked the value for money for our stay while having the amenities we needed (ref, microwave, toiletries, etc.), no problems with the heating and air-conditioning too so the room was comfortable to stay in. It was also usually quiet in the evening, Also, we liked how we were able to leave our luggage earlier (check in early) vs what time other hotels usually allow check-in.

As mentioned in other reviews, the stairs are a bit narrow but it was fine for us, we were able to carry our luggage up to our room. It's just a nitpick but it is also around 8-10 mins walk to/from station, but generally because of that the area is also very quiet and we liked it.

This was our 2nd time staying here so I’m just repeating my previous review. Good value for money since the listed amenities are complete (aircon, water heating, refrigerator, etc) and were good for our need. Also, the surrounding area is quiet and I like the nearby supermarket.

Others may have problems with the narrow stairs and the distance from the train station to the property, but for us they were fine. Also, others may have mentioned how small the room is for opening luggages, but it was ok for us since we can open our luggages on the bed.

It was certainly cheap, with a very decent room size. Good proximity to a station (7 min walk). Akihabara is 30 mins away by train. The self checkin and out system is easy to use.

The beds had sheets that didn't stay in place (too small), the pillows were too small (at least for me as a tall foreigner that sleeps on his side) and mattresses had strangely segmented-but-attached sections that would slide out a bit with use.

near grocery store, transportation is convenient, the community is very peaceful and most of all just near UENO station. the staff are very helpful, accommodating and polite as well. it's my second time to book this place and will book again soon.

what i like the most is the feel of being home even if away from my home country, the vibe in the area is super ok, convenient store as well as grocery store is very near the accommodation, worth the price.
