Room is great for the solo traveler. As a smoker, I appreciated that there was a smoking room, especially with Tokyo's strict no smoking in the streets policy. I liked that my room was on the same floor as the laundry machines. So many options for eating on the same street as hotel. Staff always greeted us with a smile. And were also patient with us despite language barrier.

Not much to dislike from my end, honestly. I just wish the smoking room had some seating after a long, long day of walking 20K+ steps :) would love to bring my family here but its not the most family friendly as far as larger rooms.

Amazing location, about 3 minutes walk from JR Sugamo Station which is along the Yamamoto line allowing easy access to all major tourist areas. Staff at the front desk are friendly. The room was basic but clean, and had room service available everyday. Powerful water pressure in the shower. Nice place to come back to rest after a whole day of exploring.

despite it being a non-smoking room there was a faint stale cigarette smell (not sure if it’s the room or if it’s coming from the aircon) hence I’m giving it 8 stars and not 10

The staff were friendly and efficient. I had phone conferences in the room and sometimes I couldn’t leave my room until later in the morning, and the cleaning lady was patient with me. The location was very convenient. It was close to the Sugamo station. There were restaurants, Seiyu, convenient stores etc…near by and I made a pair of new glasses from the store across the street.

The room was very small, but it is not unusual in Tokyo business hotels.

Sugamo was a great area with lots of stores, shops, restaurants We were a very short walk from the station, and there was a family mart right outside the hotel The staff were friendly, there were no issues, our room was cleaned and we were offered amenities The shower was nice, we had a window and a bed, a desk area and a fridge. I enjoyed the complimentary tea every morning with our tea kettle

The room was small, but that's to be expected for the location and price The pillows were a little uncomfortable The air humidifier was very loud

The staff was very nice and helpful. They can communicate in english. The most important thing that the hotel is very near with the train station, just walk around 2 minute from hotel. Very convenient

Due to I went to Japan in October and the weather was getting cold but not too much but the hotel turned the air conditioner into heater for whole building and I have to open the window instead if you feel it too hot. I think some people like to sleep in cold weather we did not have choice. Moreover, the pillow was too hard, it makes me have a little bit pain neck.

The number one thing I love about this place is the location, it is very close to the station like 5min walk. The staff is very helpful and kind making the stay more comfortable and cozy. Although I only spend my time in the hotel to sleep I always come back to a clean room with new towels.

The humidifier for me looks like its not maintained.

The location is really good and although the rooms are compact, the nightly price was very affordable and rooms are clean. Lots of nearby restaurants, supermarket in the next block and good access to everywhere with Yamanote and Mita lines.

There could be a coin exchange machine at the laundry room, but front desk was happy to exchange some change for me, so not a big deal.

Close to the station (Yamanote Line). Excellent quality for money. Staff is very friendly. Neighbourhood provides everything you might need (restaurants, shops, transportation...) . A konbini right next to the hotel. Ikebukuro is close, Ueno is close,...

-Room is always cleaned nicely. -Great facilities and ammenities. -VERY close to stations (subway, JR line yamanote), convenience stores, supermarket, and other restaurants. Much to explore on that alleyway. -Front desk was helpful in accomodating luggage transport.

The room was a little small when it comes to foot space, but everything else, such as the bed and desk, fit nicely into the space of the room. The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is close to not only Sugamo Station, but many restaurants, and a convenience store. The bed was comfortable; no complaints about it.

The hanger space was inconvenient though since it was quite small and tucked away near the door hinge. Further, the space within the bathroom is very small. I noticed that someone in the past must have hit the door from inside the bathroom since there was an indent in the door itself. The free Wi-Fi was very slow (I was on the eighth floor), so I used data most of the time.
