The hotel is not far from the main station, walkable distance to the nearest convenience stores and restaurants. Communication, check-in, and -out were smooth. We arrived slightly after 6 PM for check-in, so we contacted the hotel beforehand, but there was no problem. The parking lot has a lot of space. Staffs are nice and helpful. The onsen had no other guests around 9 PM during our stay, so it was great! But the water temperature was too hot to relax longer (coming from a person who loves onsen). Great view of the surrounding nature from the balcony!

Room was spacious and clean. There was a nice seating area with a nice mountain view in the room. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was welcoming tea when we arrived at the hotel. A nice gesture. It takes about 4-5 min walk from Beppu station to the hotel but all along flat terrain. So, it's not an issue. Both dinner and breakfast were good. The indoor onsen was very hot, but the outdoor one was comfortable and relaxing. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

The pillows were too stiff for my liking. So I didn't have a good night sleep.

Fantastic dinner and breakfast provided. We stayed 3 nights and the hotel provided 3 different dinner menus! The quality of the dinner was outstanding! Truly worth the high price we paid. Parking was ample. The Onsen was great, with both outdoor and indoor pools.

The souvenir shop was closed, not sure why.

The room is very pleasant for 2 people, especially for a couple I guess, the room truly makes me feel like I am on vacation. few minutes walk to the station so don't need to pay for luggage storage when walking forth and back in the town.

This is the first onsen we experienced that has no toilettries at the dressing room outside onsen area. Quite disappointing for the price we paid. The quantity of food for dinner is much less as compared to other ryokans we have stayed.

The dinner and breakfast were both impressive. We also enjoyed the private and public hot-spring. The location of the hotel was near the train station, so we do not spend too much time to bring the heavy luggage to get to the hotel.

No clear signs for hotel when walking from station, especially dark at night

I booked a big room for just two with indoor onsen. Though even for a full size family, the room is quite big in Japan. Great location, spotless maintenance which is very difficult to obtain for rooms with a private hot spring bath. Food is perfect, too. It meets your every need.

5 mins from the train station. Walking distance to all the shops and convenient store, Very helpful and friendly (non Japanese) staff who speaks English. My room is spacious. Onsen is well maintained.
