This is a modern hotel, which is both clean and comfortable. We were upgraded on arrival to a Junior Suite room, which we very much appreciated. The swimming pool is located in the atrium, which is largely shaded, but was refreshingly welcome after 6 hour treks through Petra. The reception staff were both welcoming and helpful.

The main restaurant was spread out and we didn't particularly enjoy the food on offer at breakfast. The staff in the restaurant seemed to still need further training. The location of the hotel was slightly out of town leading to us getting taxis each night to go into town, which costs 15 JD return..

We absolutely loved our stay at Petra canyon hotel, As we got there we were hosted in an extremely professional way, the structure is stunning and the cleanliness is next level. We were upgraded to a junior suite that, at the end of the trip, we didn't wanna leave at all! The hotel is positioned a few minutes away from the entrance of the archeological site, near to a few restaurants. They have two restaurants available in the structure that we didn't try because we wanted to explore as we only spent two nights, but judging by the quality of breakfast they're probably very good too! The staff is very friendly yet respectful of your privacy, everything was perfect, miss it already!

An excellent base for visiting Petra. The hotel is new and modern, with all amenities one might expect. Beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms. Excellent communication from the reception team. They reached out to see if we have any special requests and they were happy to accommodate them. We would gladly stay at Petra Canyon Hotel should we visit Petra again.

Food in the main restaurant was fine but nothing to write home about. The buffet dinner in particular was slightly disappointing, however service was great.

Excellent view, wonderful vibe, modern yet culturally beautiful. Good gym, good pool area too. Excellent dinner Buffett, good breakfast buffet. Staff very friendly and would do anything to help. Small drive from the visitor centre and high up with a beautiful view at the front. Great place to stay that is not too crowded and I would certainly come back.

Only very small issue is that you also have to pay for a cup of tea even when you have purchased the breakfast buffet. Very minor issue though!

The personnel was super nice and respectful, specially they one in the lobby (specially Abdullah). Very helpful and keen to help. Staff very proactive

In a trip of two weeks through Giordania and Palestine, we passed over Petra spending two nights here. Great atmosphere, excellent welcome, spacious room well equipped, excellent breakfast and food, clean and so on ….Everything was perfect over any expectation…. Special thx to Abdullah Salameen who supported us in any moment as an old friend. Frankly we couldn’t ask for anything more. With no doubt one of the best accommodation in Petra. Highly recommended

No remarks or weak points

We were quite comfortable here. The room was very clean, and the bed and bathroom comfortable. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Communication before our arrival was excellent. Staff was very accommodating in preparing a late-afternoon snack and drinks after our day in Petra. Food in the restaurant was plentiful. We opted for the breakfast and dinner meal plan, which was an exceedingly good value. Parking is free and on site. This hotel is an excellent option near Petra if you have a car.

Abdullah at the reception gave us a warm welcome and provided all the required information about the hotel. We got a large and clean, really comfy room. All staff members working at cleaning and dining contributed to make a great atmosphere through the duration of our stay with their helpfulness. Great selection of tasty dishes both at breakfast and at dinner. Also, the hotel is located just 5 minutes driving from Petra Visitors center. Free parking for our car.

Nothing

Clean, comfortable and conveniently located hotel (+ a nice view from the balcony). The predominantly middle eastern breakfast offers decent variety of food, and helpful staff. It's a pity that place like this suffer far most than international chains from the drop in tourist arrivals that Jordan is currently facing. The place is definitely worth recommendation.

You have to climb stairs a few stairs to the hotel and there's no lift or ramp (unless I didn't see it) which may be an issue if you use wheelchair or travel with babies (we did, so I had to carry the stroller up).

The property is located on a hill with a view of Petra. You will see beautiful sunsets. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. There is a pool and gym on site. It is impeccably clean. The staff goes above and beyond to be helpful. To visit Petra, you can take a 5-10 minute taxi ride or walk about 30 minutes to the site.

The food was good but not great. The breakfast buffet is very generous with many options to choose from.
