This is a review for the Movenpick, as we were upgraded since the Grand Mercure was closed. The Movenpick was fine. Service was very good and rooms were clean. Selection at the breakfast was lacking, variety was very small and the buffet was almost empty both days we were there at 9:00. I think the hotel was mostly empty during this time but I would have expected better breakfast. Everything was just OK, but again we were upgraded and paid Grand Mercure prices for the Movenpick, I would not have been so content if we paid Movenpick prices.

Breakfast was lacking, fitness center very old and dated with broken equipment.

The staff allowed us to check in early and provided a room upgrade. The hotel is amazing; it really looks like a castle. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had—you can enjoy delicious food in the restaurant. The reception was very kind.

Although we received a room upgrade, the air conditioning did not work, and the room was a bit cold. We reported this, but nothing changed. Additionally, the door did not close properly. We also encountered issues with the in-room dinner; I ordered "scallops," but they brought me "chicken escallops," insisting it was what I ordered. In the end, the head chef came to the room, assured me everything was fine, and changed my meal without any extra charge.

The Grand Mecure upgraded my family to their partner hotel, The Movenpick. This hotel was conveniently located across the road from the Petra Visitor's center which made it so easy to visit the site. Additionally, the staff went out of their way to welcome us and ensure that we had all that we needed for our stay.

I can not think of anything that should be changed or improved. It was a great place to stay.

One of the kindest and made my heart smile in multiple ways. Actually it’s a birthday but everyone value me from Ahmed, Belal, the ladies at the morning breakfast then the restaurant morning Manager (sorry I don’t remember his name) . I feel like a princess at this point. Initially my reservation was 08/31 but once I got here they managed to get me situated so I’m beyond thrilled and thankful. Khaleed the pm manager at the restaurant made sure I got my picture at the stand and stay late so I can order dinner

I love everything about the place… Hey it’s a castle you cannot beat that….. Well the place can be a wedding destination why not…. Hopefully management would read this just saying.

The hotel was amazing with superb views and just a little out of the town which was what we wanted! From checking in/out and seeking advice on things, Mohammed was great behind the desk and was really helpful. All of the staff were excellent and we were well looked after especially by Ibrahim who we met at both Movenpick hotels and assisted us greatly; Rashad at the Terrace Bar was also excellent as we were served brilliantly by him and the manager at breakfast (I forgot his name!) was also very attentive and gave us the best table with a view every morning and arranged our packed lunch!

Nothing - all was perfect!

As Grand Mercure Petra is still under reconstruction, we've spent our time in the Mövenpick Resort Petra. It was perfect, breakfast was nice. It also has 2 dining options, buffet and a-la carte. The food is delicious, the room is spacious and well-maintained. Pity we didn't have time to check SPA options.

The hotel was comfortable. We really liked the restaurant on the garden, with great food and an incredible view. They also offer a shuttle to Petra archeological site, which was very convenient.

We had just arrived from another Movenpick in Aqaba, and this one was much simpler (did not have the same level of comfort). It didn’t even have an ATM, even if there is nothing in walking distance. It is actually located a little far from Petra, when there are other hotels close to the archeological park.

A quiet little property just outside Petra city makes this place a perfect place to unwind from the long journey through Petra and all the chaos of the visitors and noise. The staff were kind and generous and Mohammed N and team made sure to give us all we needed. Though there isn’t much to do at the property they serve you a chocolate bar in the evening and can arrange for a message nearby and also have a heated pool so those are nice touches.

The room can come across a little dated and the property does need some upgrade. The AC in the room can feel warm and so maybe leaving thee control to the guests to manage the temperature would help.

All the staff at the main restaurant are very profressional and very kind. If you get the word "do more" they does. Super compliment for them. The hotel back yard out side is with an amezing view. While we styed there it was Chocolate hours every day at 4 pm and we enjoyed it so much. The breakfast the dinner buffer is nice. The bar at the lobby floor is with tunning view. I checked many hotel and compare the price. This hotel have a lower price than the oter with the same standard.

I found that the pool temperature are little too cold. It was fine but just it would be better if they can make it warmer.

The lobby of the hotel is quite spectacular, the terrace offers a wonderful view. Both the room, the beds and the service were very good. We enjoyed the bar-food and an excellent breakfast.

We were a bit confused, as there are two Mövenpick hotels in Petra, one very centrally opposite the entrance to the Petra museum, and this one, a ten minute drive up into the mountains. We first tried to check into the wrong one. If you book this hotel, you are a bit off the beaten track, but you have the advantage of peace and quiet and a splendid view. If you want to be in the centre near Petera, then book th other Mövenpick,
