Felt very at home in this clean, beautiful house. The grounds are green and kept well, and a very quiet neighbourhood with birds singing. It's safe and easy to walk to the Village Market and UN all within 15 - 20 min. Rose and Sherlyne are welcoming, professional and lovely, and Wesley - day security - is a delight too. They are very responsive and friendly. They make a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals, eggs on toast and more. I also requested dinner on my first night and Rose made a delicious fish curry with vegetables on rice. The room is lovely with a good supportive bed, solid reliable wifi and clean. You have to get used to the lighter shower and boiling water for drinking but it's all very manageable. Overall it is a great experience and I can certainly recommend!

A bedside lamp would be welcome to read before sleep.

Orchid homes is located in a quiet, green, secure and beautiful, neighbourhood and very close to the United Nations Complex which was an added advantage for me. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable with mosquito net, and the staff are fantastic and very friendly and helpful.

The room did not have net on the windows which could be uncomfortable if you choose to leave the windows open, letting in mosquitos and there was no fan or aircondition however the weather was cool at night so it was not so bad.

Breakfast made fresh to order and staff were responsive to dietary constraints, colleague is devout Muslim and I have some idiosyncratic tastes, both catered for and remembered for following days. Evening meal was limited choice but good and served to our requested time - quite late because of work commitments. Perhaps slightly expensive for quality but availability was a plus.

I had.a problem with internet connection. Was not resolved even though other rooms appeared Ok. Given I was working with colleagues globally this was a constraint - could not stay in office to work in the evening. There was flooding which is clearly not their fault and backup power generator worked but I ended up off line for a while - perhaps did me good to be so?

Location terrific for those engaged in United Nations activities -an easy and pleasant walk both early morning and evenings ... Also not far from a supermarket and restaurants (two easily within walking distance - I went to neither but they looked worth trying). About 1/2 to 3/4 hour from the airport by taxi ... Also - they continue to provide small containers of body wash, shampoo and conditioner plus soap tablets: such a plus (instead of those generic large containers of body wash and shampoo provided, now, in so many hotels - particularly the big chains).

Lovely circular staircase but would be wise to include some good lighting immediately overhead to ensure each stair is clearly defined ... easy to walk down but lighting specific to the staircase would be good. (This would not prevent my returning, but just a note for additional care.)

Lovely place with a home feel on it. Nice personal treatment. For example, when I was going out and the an unexpected shower was just starting, the host asked me if I needed an umbrella. I thought why not, which then saved me from getting totally soaked later in town centre as the rain did not want to stop for 2 hours, flooding everything :)

The room was comfy and clean, but the bathroom was very basic. It was still manageable and given all the other good bits of this place at the end I did not mind it.

Clean and calm, very helpful staff, well located close to UN and Village market. Hot breakfast menu varies each day.

The room on the 2nd floor has inside windows on the hallway (not see through) without curtains, so at night and early morning there is quite a bit of light getting in.

I loved the staff, so friendly and accommodating. Agnes, Charleen, and Rose, as well as Wesley. Thank you. I also enjoy how quiet it is, despite its convenient location to markets and restaurants. I had a great time working and reading on the balcony.

The shower is not good. In adequate water is coming out from the shower.

Ambience: the place is truly a home away from home. Quiet serene environment well-maintained garden. I enjoyed sitting on the terrace looking at the garden and listening to the birds sing. It was nice to come from a busy day of work and stay at this peaceful guest house. The host is also great everything went so smoothly and I enjoyed every bit of my stay
