Design Suites Calafate offers a wonderful breakfast and dinner, with the added convenience of packed lunch boxes for those heading out on adventures. The hotel’s pool and spa are fantastic, providing a relaxing escape after a day of exploration. Additionally, the hotel is easy to navigate, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A great choice for both relaxation and adventure in Calafate.

It’s located just outside of town, so you'll need to schedule taxis if you want to head into the main area. However, if you prefer a more tranquil setting away from the hustle of town, this location is perfect for you.

The room and view were excellent on the 4th floor. The spa tub was wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast. And we really liked the sauna and pool.

The restaurant situation was a little confusing. What times you could eat, why you needed reservations, what was served when. It seemed to change and especially based on the waiter. Some waiters would come to your table, some waiters wouldn't and you'd have to go to the bar to order. It was a little odd.

The room was lovely, and the views were stunning. The shuttle bus in and out to the town was great. The croissants at breakfast were delicious.

The heat.... it was far too warm in the hotel for our liking, but the rooms had air con, which was great, and we were able to turn down the under floor heating, which helped in the room. But for us, the hotel was a bit too warm.

Beautiful view of Lago Argentino from the room. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend working with the hotel concierge to coordinate day trips. Given how tight-knit the El Calafate tourism community is, they're able to streamline the trip planning and coordinate directly with tourism companies.

In-room wifi is not dependable - just to be aware if you are planning to do any work from the hotel, though it is stronger in the lobby. The hotel could create a better vibe in the restaurant area. Given that the hotel is not walkable to restaurants, and many guests eat at the hotel restaurant, they could put more effort into making it cozy and welcoming. Currently there is no vibe.

Dinner was not very good. As the hotel is a taxi ride away from town it was the logical place to eat, but except for the empanadas, the food was lousy.

The highest points were the stunning views from Argentino lake from the room. We stayed at the first (ground) floor, the impression we had was that we were sleeping outside. Room was comfortable, clean, bathtub and shower working properly. Reception staff was helpful and polite. The pool was also good. Great place to relax.

The breakfast was very good, but it would be even greater if there were more options. The hotel is located a bit far from the main center, but there are cabs and transfers available.

Room needs refreshing. One of the window was not closing properly and with strong wind during the night it made a constant vibrating noise. A room of this size should have both a bath and a separate shower, the bathroom had plenty of space to have both. Breakfast was very basic. Quality of food was not commensurate with the level of the price per room.

The design is modern and beautifully considered, the views are wonderful, the breakfasts were excellent, and staff generally friendly

The building needs some maintenance and the lower ground floor electrics kept tripping - we assumed the sauna could be causing it, as it often cut out a while after asking for the sauna to be turned on

The hotel is situated just outside of Calafate. It has a very nice lounge where you can enjoy the beautiful view. The room is spacious and clean. The spa facilities are good but basic. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very basic with very limited savory options. I believe that the price could be slightly lower for what the hotel offers.

The room was a good size with a comfortable bed. Wonderful view over Lake Argentina. Had tea and coffee facility with fridge. We loved the swimming pool which was warm. We used the laundry facilities which were very prompt. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. We checked in early with no problem.
