This was our second stay at the Hotel Continental in Hamburg and it was excellent, just what we needed for quick access to the city centre and the train station. The breakfast was lovely, a great start to the day before venturing off onto the Christmas markets and all other attractions.

We would have liked tea/coffee making facilities, but as we'd been here before, were prepared with our own!

The location of the property was perfect being directly across from the train station. The staff were super friendly and helpful, letting us leave our luggage before we checked in and after we checked out so we didn’t have to drag it around with us. The room was quite small but it was clean and the bathroom was spotless.

The bed was quite uncomfortable as the mattress was really hard (not what I’d personally go for). Also the room got quite stuffy with the window being shut during the night as we didn’t want to leave the window open as the street outside was quite busy with cars.

Great location directly opposite Hamburg Central Station, and lots of Christmas markets within easy walking distance. There was a nice view of Station area from our room. We had ordered a small room, so were pleasantly surprised to find that there was still space for 2 small bedside tables, and charging plugs on each side of the bed. Breakfast was good, although hot items were limited to boiled and scrambled eggs. Liked that there was fresh fruit salad - thanks. Breakfast was available from 6.30am which was helptful. Hotel staff were nice. If you're a fan of great bread rolls, try the bakery at the station. The soft bread pretzels with seeds were so delicious we went back for more.

The only thing we found annoying was not being able to fill our water bottles from the bathroom tap. The shower cubicle was tiny and we're not fans of shower curtains, especially in such a small space.

Good location, just across the road from the main station. Good variety at breakfast which was served at a convenient time.

It was clear that a number of the rooms had been sub divided when the hotel was last remodelled and kept their old room numbers with the suffix A or B. We had one of these which was adequate for a 2 night city centre stay but not overly generous. There was no safety feature on the over bath shower to prevent scalding hot water being used.

very close to the station so ideal for train travellers. I had a single room at a very good price, which is perfect for a single traveller and very hard to find. The room was ideal, very clean with a good bathroom. Breakfast was very good, good coffee.

the hotel needs a little modernisation, but everything worked well and it was great value and a perfect position.

We stayed for three nights and were very satisfied with the accommodation. The location is excellent, right by the central station, very well connected, and everything is nearby, making it easy to explore the city centre and the city itself. The room was comfortable. Would definitely recommend it.

The breakfast could be more varied.

The room was small, but clean & comfortable. There was no kettle/tea /coffee facilities. But may that's usual for Germany? Perfect location for us, next door to the theatre we were visiting. Opposite the train station and a short walk into the city centre. (Photo below is the view from our room)

Located opposite Hauptbahnhof so we expected to hear noise but the window insulation was excellent and it was very quiet in the room. Clean room, comfortable bed, heating adjustable apart from in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was good and opening hours generous. Midday checkout very nice. Very good value for money for quality of hotel.

TV was small compared to the room and not working Only 1 lift was working but informed

We booked a triplet room, it is spacious, comfortable and clean. The hotel is right in front of the train station, we could access to the city center and restaurants by foot. Will come back again if we visit Bremen again :-)

A bit noisy outside as it is in front of the train station, crowded with people.
