I stay at this Fairfield Inn for work sometimes. I like it because it is in a clean part of town; the rooms are also cute and *always* clean-- though they are not very big. I use the gym sometimes, and it gets the job done, though it is nothing all that special. Check-in is courteous and easy.

There are not a lot of food options here and this includes the breakfast. They have a big breakfast available, but the food isn't all that great. Moderate expectations will help stave off disappointment on this score. Additionally, the elevators are super slow-- one waits and waits here.

Clean, modern, well lit, easy location to Columbus circle even has a bar service with bar food if you need to get something at night. breakfast included which is usual type of medium tier hotel buffet but it had quite a selection very properly replenished and clean ( residence inn etc..) There is Paris Baguette up the street as well if you want more of a bakery breakfast. For two it’s quite tight unless you get a room with two queen beds but if for one person perfect. Elevator if you are on lower floors just take the stairs if during busy check in check out hours. Breakfast time yes that may be busy too. However, I didn’t find it to be too much of an issue.

I really enjoyed my stay there, when looking for a hotel it checked all the boxes and even has breakfast included. Hotel is new, well equipped with comfy beds and clean rooms. Staff is really nice and reactive, they even granted my request for a room high up and far from the elevator.

If I had one remark it would be making sure both elevators are always in service. One was out of service for several days and it was a pain to wait or take the stairs.

If you’re an out-of-Towner here for a surgery at the West Side HSS, get here the night before and minimize the stress of traffic disasters. Or if you just want to be in a quieter part of town with quick access to Central Park, it’s a great location for that. Multiple convenient parking options within a couple hundred yards.

Garbage collection is in the middle of the night, and quite a bit of racket on the lower Floors. Get a room towards the back and higher up. Don’t expect any kind of great view.

Perfect location, loved how close it was to a variety of places to eat and for sightseeing. Being 10 minutes walk from the Hudson Riverside Park was an added bonus, the ideal location for my morning run. Great wi-fi and liked being able to access my Netflix account via the TV in my room. Good selection of vegetarian options at breakfast. Lovely staff, every single person I spoke to was friendly and helpful, I felt very welcome.

There was a lot of waste at breakfast-plastic cutlery, paper plates and cups etc. Breakfast ended a little early (9am) - but on the plus side, the staff in the breakfast room let me come in for breakfast at 9.30am when I got the time wrong. The lifts are horrendously slow. Not enough storage in the room, 2 tiny bedside drawers and a very narrow wardrobe.

Perfectly located for our purposes. Quiet, very quiet. Never heard a garbage truck, or even another room toilet flush. I mean the quietist place we’ve stayed at.

Didn’t like the lobby door being off a sunken garden one flight below street level. Too many steps. The ramp was helpful, however. Long waits for the elevators suggested that the place is “under elevatored” for the size of the property. Only two elevators. But, I recognize these are architectural aspects that were probably unavoidable.

The staff were excellent! Everyone from the front desk to their cleaning /maintenance staff to the security, they were ALL friendly and greeted us. We felt very welcomed by everyone. The bed and room temperature were also very comfortable.

The room did not have enough lighting for my taste. I know all NYC hotels are small, but the bathroom mirror was placed in a way I couldn't utilize in getting ready. Instead I used the longer mirror in the room but again lighting was not great there.

lift was too slow often waiting 20 minutes to come and because of this felt dangerous at time s as people crammed in as no one wants to wait 20 minutes for the next lift , so unfortunately we won’t be returning to this hotel next trip for that reason

The hotel staff, everyone of them, were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was just a bit on the small side, but very typical for a big city hotel and quite comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with several hot dishes available in addition to the normal breads, rolls, and fruit. The location was great - a short walk to many excellent restaurants and a very short walk to Lincoln Center, which was our purpose for coming in to the city. We'll definitely be back.

Ventilation fan in the room was just a bit noisy. Long wait for an elevator.

Check-in was quick and easy and staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the city which I had requested. The location was perfect as it is in walking distance to all the areas I was interested in; Lincoln Center, Broadway, Central Park, and the excellent restaurants on 9th avenue.

Unfortunately there are only two elevators, one of which was out of service during the entirety of my stay, as the hotel was full this caused extremely long wait times. Housekeeping had quite a struggle as well since there are no service elevators specifically for them. I felt that the hotel should have offered a free drink or discount as this was quite an inconvenience.
