The rooms were beautifully appointed and staff were very friendly We loved our generous balcony too.

We tried several times to have time around the pool but even though we had booked a chair we were not able to sit beside the pool and were sent to the other side of the building on the other side to the pool. There was room available around the pool but only very few chairs are kept for hotel patrons (the rest are for paying visitors). If a booking is made it is for a certain time span and if you are not able to be there at the very start of the time span then no seat is available. It was most disappointing.

Views are great, concierges helpful, pool & pool staff nice, balconies impressive, rooms comfortable.

Even the suite was quite tight (small cupboard, no desk, no shower). Service somewhat inconsistent - eg some housekeepers great, others tidied half the room. Lift problems - on a bad day could have 5 min wait. Noisy area with parties and building works.

Every room has a balcony, and the views are amazing. The rooms are also spacious, clean and beautiful.

The only issues was getting to the rooftop Westlight. I made a reservation through concierge, and when we went to the restaraunt, we were told it’s all booked but they will call us when our table would be ready- and they never did, which is terrible customer service.

Excellent location, quiet room, comfortable bed and linens. Hotel provided tea pot upon request.

Room was small for price. Amenities in room were ok, nothing special. TV streaming was iffy at best- couldn't get strumming from our device to work first day. Engineer came to room and had to bypass the app to make it work. It stopped working the last day. Shouldn't be this hard to watch TV. Elevators had occasional long wait when the upstairs bar was busy. Had to call down to front desk at 4pm to get house keeping to make up room first two days.

From the welcoming arrival through to arranging transport on our departure, our 7 night stay at the William Vale exceeded our expectations. The view from our balcony on the 19th floor was wonderful only surpassed by the day and evening view from the rooftop bar. Our room was not large but the bed was very comfortable, the coffee very good quality, the walk-in shower was very generous with abundant hot water and quality products. The location was excellent, just 10-mins walk to Bedford Ave subway with quick access to Manhattan and a similar distance to the North Williamsburg ferry point. Williamsburg itself was an interesting and enjoyable location to start and end each day with a huge variety of independent shops, cafes, bars (including the Brooklyn Brewery) and restaurants to suit all tastes. The staff at William Vale hotel were consistently helpful and courteous. Would strongly recommend

Nothing that the hotel could do, but there are significant long-term roadworks around JFK Airport at the moment which meant that what should be a convenient taxi ride took over an hour. The reception team had very helpfully advised us to allow plenty of time.

Beautiful with a great view.

You guys are a bit greedy with the abundance a beds and canopies by the pool. You need more free chairs for guests. Make your money by taking drink and food orders directly.

Room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was amazing! The view was amazing, and I enjoyed sitting out by the balcony. Complimentary postcards and water were appreciated and ordering room service was fun. Front desk and staff offering turn down service were prompt and kind.

Pool reservation was confusing, and I would make the pool more accessible to guests staying at the hotel. The front desk directed me to the online reservation system, but the website only had an email address available, and no one responded to my email the entire time I was there. While the view from the balcony was excellent, the divider between the rooms were inadequate, and I could see the person in the next room through the divider whenever he came out.

Beds are cosy, lovely toiletries, great mini bar selection, room service came twice a day and staff were so friendly and accommodating. View from the room was a Brooklyn view rather than Manhattan, but still so impressive. Upstairs bar is a really cool spot for a drink! Location is great with easy access to subway.

The interiors of the hotel were quite tired and dated - didn’t feel 5* star. Elevators were very rickety and old - my partner got stuck in the elevator and needed to call for help. Painting was going on in corridors while we were there, which looked unfinished. Also there is no really lobby, the entrance feels like a thoroughfare.

The William Vale hotel is located in the vibrant Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. When you travel, there are always some things you're not used to and some things that are different than you imagined, but that's the magic of travel - accepting your new home for what it is and looking for the positive. We love New York and we love Brooklyn with all that goes with it. We can confirm that the William Vale is the perfect hotel and we enjoyed our three week stay to the max. We really appreciate the friendly and helpful staff who responded immediately to our every request. Our room had a large balcony and an incredible view of Brooklyn and Manhattan, and we spent all our mornings and evenings there. The pool is wonderful, visiting it has its pitfalls, but if you find out how everything works, make your reservation early and also arrive on time, you will be delighted. The Leuca restaurant is a super bonus if you're hungry late at night and don't feel like going to the other great restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back and we are already missing it. Thank you.

Something could always be better, but we were satisfied in every way.

I stayed in the "gotham corner suite with wraparound balcony" and it was a fantastic view. Considering I spent as much for this room as I would have for a similar sized suite in manhattan but without the view, I think it is worth it. I splurged as we were traveling with our baby so I knew there would be more room time than is typical for us on vacation. The bathroom was great as well with views even from the bathroom.

Despite calling in advance and being told that this room was a true suite- with a bedroom with a door that closed- that was not the case. None of this type of room have a true bedroom with a door that closes, evidently only the king suites have that. Annoying because I did everything I could to try and confirm there would be a true bedroom to make it easier to travel with my baby but was foiled.
