A Gem of a Boutique Hotel! This place is an absolute cracker! The staff were top-notch, and the rooms? Loverly (yes, I mean it). It’s a bit out of the hustle and bustle of town, but that’s exactly what makes it perfect—peace and quiet with no tourist stampedes. The river behind the hotel was pure serenity, with local fishermen casting their lines at the crack of dawn. And the sunrise from my balcony? Well, let’s just say it almost made me a morning person. Breakfast was surprisingly good, especially considering we’re a bit off the beaten path. Honestly, I’d come back in a heartbeat—so long as they keep those sunrises and breakfast coming!

A Slight Hiccup on the Way Out! Just as we were heading out to grab a taxi to the airport, the lovely staff kindly reminded us that we’d completely forgotten to pay our bill. Oops—our bad! Cue a bit of a panic, though, as the card machine decided to take a holiday and refused to work. Picture us frantically fiddling with it while the taxi driver gave us the old “Are you coming or what?” look. We made it, but it was a close call! Oh, and a little heads-up: the hot water in the shower likes to take its sweet time getting there. Patience is a virtue, right? But don’t even think about trying the bath—it seems hot water and the tub aren’t on speaking terms. 🙄

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful right from the start, and they seem to take care of the hotel and its guests with lots of care and attention. I stayed in one of the top rooms with a balcony and a lovely view over the river. The room is perhaps a little minimal compared to standard hotels, but it's comfortable and has everything you need, including AC. It was pretty much exactly as in the pictures. The hotel is maybe 20-30 minutes walking distance from the old town, or you can easily get a taxi / tuktuk there in 10. The staff also organised a driver for us to go and see the waterfalls, another friendly face called Simon, and provided lots of information for possible future activities and excursions.

There wasn't really anything not to like, I would just recommend checking the pictures and reviews so you know what to expect! There were a few steps down to the hotel and up into most of the rooms, and there isn't a lift, so it might be difficult for those with accessibility issues.

We stayed here twice and loved it every single time. The rooms are beautifully designed, very elegant yet down-to-earth and with a very local touch. Beds were huge amd super comfy. The common area and river terrace are just as nice, and perfect for a relaxed breakfast or reading a book and enjoying the river view. The location was great for us, it's quiet, with a beautiful riverview, and it takes just a 10 minute walk to get to the city center and all the highlights. One thing we really want to highlight was the staff. So incredibly friendly and helpful, competent, and very focused on providing a great experience to all their guests. They also speak English well, which is definitely a plus and not a given in Laos. They were so lovely and really made our stay an 11/10. Thank you!

What a view! I booked a deluxe room with a small, privat balcony that overlooked the Nam Khan River. I wateched the moonrise and the sunset each day while the sounds of birds and laughter from the children playing on the shore on the other side of the river. The breakfast was made to order- fresh eggs, delicious local fruit and coffee. The staff went above and beyond to assist with booking tours, train tickets and transportation to the train station. I love the location away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, about a 20 minute walk.

Plumbing needs some attention. There were very slow drains in the bathroom and sink, a drippy faucet in the beautiful free e-standing tub, and an occasional sewage odor from the toilet. The mattress , like ALL mattresses in Southeast Asia, is beyond firm, which makes for a lot of tossing and turning throughout the night. That is kind've the norm in all of the hotels I have visited in this region.

Very cute little place, amazing hospitality from the staff. comfortable bed, nice breakfast. The river view! Not in the center but within a comfortable walking distance from all touristic destinations. It was nice to wonder through the local area

I was looking for something serene thats why chose this place, but some construction noise from the nearby did not match to my serenity expectations. Had some pipe problem in my room so there was a bit of smell sometimes.

Kham Noy was amazing! He was so friendly from start to finish and helped us with anything we asked. He was so welcoming and made our stay so much more fun! Nothing was too much to ask. The down stairs area was lovely to relax and have breakfast in. A very peaceful hotel which we would definitely return to! Thank you Kham Noy for a brilliant stay :)

The room had a bit of an ant problem but other than that it was perfect! Great size, good aircon and great bathroom. We used the bikes to get to and from town but they are a little rusty and could do with a little facelift :)

My friends and I was stating this hotel together. The hotel is quite beautiful located next to the river. The hotel staff are above and beyond for services. I really appreciate their support during our stay. However, to make sure that you should bring enough cash in local currency, or US dollars to pay for the room rate. As there is a surcharge for use of credit card, which is quite normal in Laos. Their exchange rate is quite high compares to ATM.

There are some smells coming out from the sewerage pipe in the washroom.

We would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay when you visit Luang Prabang. Our room was spacious and super cute with a bath and separate shower. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the deck with a beer to sit and watch the riverside. The service here was amazing. We really enjoyed the breakfast. It was basic but really well thought through with good attention to detail. You won’t be disappointed

It is a little far from the centre of things, but we didn’t find a problem because you could rent a motorbike or you could walk within 15 minutes.

Beautiful accommodation and absolutely loved my room. The best was comfortable and the room very clean and cool in the hot weather. The staff were very attentive and kind. Breakfast was great, especially on my last morning when the staff prepared traditional noodle soup! It was the best breakfast I had all holiday. On my next trip to Luang Prabang I will definitely be staying here again.

Nothing!

From the moment we arrived and saw a handwritten chalkboard outside saying “Welcome” and a list of names of guest arriving that day, we knew this place had a keen attention to detail and comfort. We were welcomed at reception with a glass of fresh orange juice and a damp toilette. The two gentlemen working here, that we had the pleasure of meeting during our stay, could not have been more accommodating. They inside on carrying our bags when we arrived and when we were departing. They booked our train for us and arranged a tuk tuk to bring us to the station. I can’t possibly speak any more highly of these two gentlemen. The rooms were so spacious and really nicely decorated. The whole property gave off a real calming vibe.

The pillows were quite thick. I love a well stuffed pillow but these began to put a strain on my neck. Not a big deal and certainly didn’t put a dampener on our stay.
