Lovely room with good aircon and nice bathroom. Jessica was very friendly and helpful with booking onward travel and giving directions around town.

The balcony advertised wasn’t private but was outside the room in the hallway. Not a big deal for us as we weren’t around in the day to chill on the balcony but could be misleading for some.

The management and all the staff are just so unbelievably friendly and welcoming, I highly recommend that you become a guest at the hotel.

What I didn't like was having to say goodbye at the end of our stay.

The staff Maison Vongprachan were very helpful and fun to have a chat with. John provided plenty of good information on local attractions and how to get there. He can organise transport to the waterfalls etc. There were a range of options for breakfast and I especially enjoyed the fruit, yogurt & cereal bowl. Location was good with some restaurants nearby. It was a bit of a walk to the riverfront restaurants and night markets etc. I enjoy walking around so this wasn't an issue for me and transport in a tuk-tuk can easily be arranged. My room and the location in general was quiet which is always important for me.

While generally quite clean and comfortable, Maison Vongprachan is showing it's age a little e.g. the bathroom fittings etc.

a nice small hotel, around 10 min walk to the main old town area. the room was comfortable and clean. the staff is very friendly. simple but good breakfast (eggs, some sausage, bread and fruits)

extra services offered by the hotel are overpriced. for example (end of March 2023), in the hotel currency exchange for USD is around 16,000-16,500 kip(while on the Main Street its 17,000); airport transfer 10 USD (we took it for around 5-6$ directly from the airport taxi counter); train ticket for Vang Vieng 1 class offered for 25$ (while at Iplanet travel agency close by you get it for 17-18$), same goes for laundry service 1,5 USD (in town you can get for 15,000-20,000 Kip). we used the laundry service at the hotel, and it was not well washed, even simple dust stained remained and was not smelling fresh. Rooms are not soundproofed, you here people passing in the corridor and light from the corridor comes to the room from the window on top of the door.

This establishment is founded and managed by a lovely couple. In any hotel, before the quality of breakfast or the softness of the bed matters, it's the feeling of the tourist, the energy, and the sense of peace that truly count. And for me, this hotel was filled with love, warmth, and kindness. Jessica, the owner, is a cheerful and energetic woman who always offers the best recommendations and is available at all hours. Her husband takes care of the technical and support aspects of the hotel. For Laos, the rooms were exceptionally clean, cozy, and completely quiet. This place is generously managed with a touch of genuine kindness. They speak English fluently, which is a huge advantage in Laos. I highly recommend staying here!

This hotel is almost close to all things that you want to do in Luang Prabang. The night market is 10 mins walk. The hotel is neat and clean. The rooms are quite big and they have all the amenities , the beds are comfortable and the linen are clean, white and crisp. The bathroom is clean and the toilet has a water spray / shower , its very important for me bcoz it keeps my hygiene level to the max and also it helps in less usage of toilet paper which is so not environmentally not friendly bcoz lots of young tender trees are crushed to make toilet paper. Jessica and Steve are power couple that manage the property and they do a excellent job. Just contact Jessica before your arrival and she will arrange every thing. I arranged my airport pick up thru her. Don’t forget to buy a SIM for your phone with data at the airport- it saves lots of headaches. I gave my travel plans to Jessica of going to Vientiane and other cities and she in a day booked all my train tickets, she even arranged a transportation to take me to the railway station. I booked tours of water falls thru Jessica and she very efficiently did all the bookings. A standing ovation to Jessica and Steve 👏🏻👏🏻

It’s very conveniently located and is within walking distance to all the attractions. The staff were so helpful and wonderful. Once I got there, the staff gave me a map and showed me where all the attractions are, including the opening timings and patiently answered all my questions. They also arranged a one day tour to the waterfall and cave and villages ending with a boat ride in sunset. Ask them for this! It’s great! They recommended nice massage place and wonderful restaurants. They also arranged for a transport back to the station in a van. I regretted not asking them to arrange transport for me when I came from the station. It was 3x cheaper! The room was nice and has a quiet environment. Wonderful breakfast. I’ll stay here again if I come!

Had a super awesome stay at Maison Vongpachay! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Location: situated in a quieter street, which is less than a kilometer away from Night Market, Phousi Hill, Wat Xieng Thong, etc. There is an interesting wat (Visounath) just across and a supermarket on the next (parallel) street. The mansion: I cannot call it a hotel 'coz it's like a huge house repurposed as an accommodation hostel. Only two floors, with reception area, with a huge breakfast area, and huge rooms too! It has a very homey and provincial feel, you can actually just sit there on the long wooden bench, read a book, and listen to the wind. Love the vibes. Room: Room we stayed in is good for three, with one king size bed and one bigger-than-normal single bed. Beds are firm (which is good for my back). Room is super spacious, and there is a long bench outside the room which serves as the "balcony". All rooms on the 2nd floor has it, while first floor rooms don't. Ref, electric kettle, coffee, tea, complimentary water are provided. The room, the floors, everything is super clean and tidy. Btw, I think it depends on the type of reservation, but our room comes with free breakfast everyday.👍 Toilet: Toilet amenities and towels are replenished every day. Has bidet and hot/cold shower. The owner: Jessica is awesome! She warmly welcomed us upon arrival and mafe sure we are happy with the room assigned to us. She's always there at the breakfast area to make sure we get our food soon as we order. Very hands on. She also offers tour packages to visitors and can buy train tickets including transfers. Others: The mansion has wifi. The whole place is very quiet when we visited, even the noise from surroundings are acceptable. There is a resto just across the mansion. And there are vendor stalls at the corner street where you can buy snacks!

The staff/Jessica was amazing from A to Z. So helpful and caring for her guests' happiness (speaks good english too)! The location is perfect. Quiet at night but 5min away from bars/restaurants (the night market is 10min away). The breakfast is great! You get free water bottles along your stay (at least with the room I had). Comfy bed, nice/retro style furniture and room setup. All in all I had an amazing stay, I definitely recommend and will stay again in the future at Maison Vongprachang & Travel :)

The location was very good - close to an excellent restaurant and a very short walk to the night market. The host was excellent. We had an outstanding check-in, and he was happy to provide us recommendations and exchange USD to Kip at a fair rate.

Our room was very nice; however, it was overlooking a pool belonging to a hostel next door. On two different nights we were woken up by partiers using the pool after midnight. I understand the hotel can’t control this, but we’d have preferred to have a room further from the pool.
