Arguably best value for money in Vientiane. large complet room. perfect bathroom. Complimentary toiletries, bottles of water, coffe and tea. Kettle. fridge. air-conditioning. Netflix comfortable bed. clean new bed sheets and towels, plenty electric plugs. huge outstanding self-service breakfast. Staff goes out of their way to please guests (I was feeling unwell the 1st morning and the owner took me to a all-night Pharmacy at 05.45 AM in his personal car 2 km?Faces the river. 300 meters to street food night market. dozen traditional eateries within 400 meters. next door on the right to a reasonable largish convenience shop. All tourist attractions within a mile

Well I do not usully review but this time felt I had too as this Hotel scores 9.9 out of 10. Rooms very clean , perhaps a better window as road noise a little annoying but then this is a capital city not the wilds of laos. Room cleaning staff excellent & do take notice of the do not disturb sign , even to the extent of "Trying to keep quiet" in the hallway when working. ( bluetooth ear pieces instead of a radio, surely these days is a must). Reception staff very very polite & helpfull from printing of some things I desp needed to downloading a loal food delivery app for me. Yes you can order too your room ( collect yourself in the lobby). Breakfast very very good selection of Breads , jams, coisants, fruit & hot Asian breakfast. You wont get a full Uk here lol. 1 tiny gripe on last day they had ran out of Bagguete & did not think to pop a few doors away to buy more fresh straight from the oven. Hence the .9 I am an ex hotelier so very hard to please but if I have to come to Laos again would highly recommend this hotel.

The location is very central, within walking distance of many restaurants, coffee shops and other retail outlets. The staff are EXCELLENT - nothing was too much trouble for them - including booking train tickets which I hadn't been able to complete on-line, and alternative accommodation in a semi-rural setting, again which it hadn't been possible to finalise on line either. The included breakfast was also fine.

These people try very hard to be good hosts - there was nothing that I didn't like.

1. Location: just a few steps from the night market. A nice cafe and a mini mart is just round the corner. Many restaurants and massage places around. 2. Seevice: Friendly, Attentive and helpful. 3. The car booking provided by the hotel is very reasonably priced. Cheaper than using LOCA. 4. Room: New, clean, separation of shower and toilet. 5. Smart TV provided. 6. Wifi: fast and stable. 7. Breakfast: Get variety of choices.

The staff at this hotel was exceptional!! They went above and beyond to respond to all of our requests in a timely manner. On one day, when I was sick and had food delivered to the hotel, the staff even offered to provide me with bowls and utensils so that I can eat my food. They always greeted us with a smile and consistently asked if they could help with anything. Our room was cleaned within a couple of hours every day. We go out for breakfast and come back to a clean room!! The location of the hotel was perfect!! It was right in front of the night market and near to many stores, restaurants, etc. I will not hesitate to stay at this hotel again during my next visit!! THANK YOU to the wonderful staff for a wonderful stay!!

Superb location right next to night markets. Very quiet and comfortable bed. House keeping did a great job and reception changed money for us at a very competitive rate. We organised a minivan to Vang Vieng and reception called them to make sure they were on their way which they were. Breakfast had a good selection and kept us going well into the afternoon.

Nothing springs to mind. The lift went out of action on our last day and we were on the 4th floor but we had been using the stairs anyway so no big deal

The adorable manager, Tia, has a good sense of humor, caring, helpful and was the most personable manager we have come across. Her English is very good. We understand that she also speaks Laotian, Thai, and French. She spent a lot of time helping us with our visa application for our next destination. During breakfast Tia also greeted and took the time to talk with everyone. All staff members were very friendly and helpful. The entrance to The Riva lobby was very inviting. Lovely Laotian hand-painted murals were outside and inside the hotel. To the left of the lobby was a Coffee/Tea shop where digital nomads and guest could complete computer work. To the right of the lobby was a large breakfast area where a variety of healthy Laotian/Asian foods were served daily including soups, rice, eggs, salad, fruit, bread, cereal, and desserts. We also received bottle water every day. This is a newly opened facility. The bed, wonderful pillows, and AC were good. The room had a TV, Kettle, and mini refrigerator. The expensive rain shower with handheld combo was marvelous. The window with a view was covered by a nice rollup blind. When we arrived at The Riva, we were given a map of the city. The Riva is within walking distance of the Presidential Palace. From there you can walk straight down the street with beautiful light fixtures on each side to the Patuxai Monument which is a Massive Victory Arch resembling the Arch de Triumph in Paris. In the evening it is lit up and you can also witness a beautiful water display. The Arch is dedicated to those who fought in WW II and the struggle for independence from France. The Riva is also directly across the street from the Night Market and during the day you can walk to the Park. Down the street is a fulfilling Chinese Restaurant and around the corner is a delicious Korean Restaurant, a Temple and street food.

There were no drawers in the night stands. We like drawers. There were also mosquitoes. We were there a total of 10 days ( we extended 5 days) and not one mosquito bit us. They are slow, sluggish mosquitoes. (LOL)

Staff were amazing and the breakfast variety was superb. Location was great as you could walk to a few main attractions. Night markets and close food stalls.

Noise in the room from the neighbors AC was loud. The showers hot water system was just warm at best, even at the highest setting.

Great location walking distance to many things. Staff are nice and welcoming. Breakfast was pretty good with a decent variety of foods and fruits

Some of the rooms are facing the night market or Main Street and can be pretty load until late. It’s not terrible but it is there. Many rooms don’t have a window that is clear but rather frosted giving it a darker feel

Very nice position with view over Mekong and the evening market. Extremely nice breakfast, a huge room (and I paid extra for a big room on top floor with Mekong view) and very nice staff. I cannot find better place to stay, the room was extremely big, but since it was my 70th anniversary, I could have extra space, with the nice Mekong view from the balcony. And the breakfast! Many nice restaurants and shops nearby. A very nice stay, even in tropical rain! Shop nextdoor. The childred swimmed in a beach not far from the hotel, but I never tried.
