The room was huge , the bathroom too, the bed..huge! Generally the hotel seems like it was built for party officials coming to the capital for conventions back in the 70's or 80's with the luxurious baroque-ish style of that era. Back then it must have been something! Breakfast was very rich and served in a majestic room with majestic tables and chairs and a view. The eggs and noodle station was a very nice touch and the breakfast staff were nice! Location is quite central right at the corner of the black stupa

When I got there I hadn't even gone to to the room the receptionist tried to sell me train tickets to my next destination for a price a later learned was x3 the price you get from the app or even at the station. When I returned for instructions to the night Market the other receptionist marked a zig zag of 4 streets on the map however her instructions were less than half the way to the market. Also a huge chunk of hair was in the bathtub when I first entered the room but they cleaned it after I told them .

The hotel is situated in a Center area, making it easy to explore any where in Vientiane My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the modern amenities, including a flat-screen TV and a mini-fridge. The staff at Hotel Xaysomboun were exceptionally friendly and attentive. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel welcome and were always ready to assist with any questions or requests I had. Their hospitality truly made my stay The hotel features a nice pool area, which was a great spot to unwind in the afternoons. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I look forward to returning on my next trip!

The hotel is centrally located, near the That Dam stupa and there are numerous restaurants and cafes nearby, also the Tourist Info center is 10 minutes walk. The staff are super friendly and they accommodated my request for early check in without any issues. The room was a bit dated, but was kept clean and had everything I needed. The swimming pool area was a great addition - it gets sunshine the entire day. The breakfast is a buffet-style, however you can also order eggs, omelettes and noodle soups from the chefs. The Wi-Fi was strong both in the rooms and around the pool, allowing you to do some work while outside. Overall I liked this hotel and I will stay here again when I have to visit Vientiane at the end of my stay in Laos.

- As some people had noted, the free toiletries have a very worn-out look and do not seem to be taken care of, for example in the cardboard box for cotton bud left and it did not look super fresh - The breakfast choice could be improved

The location of this hotel is great, and the Sky bar has a terrific view for a sunset drink. This is a budget hotel and the facilities were fine, but the four star service from the front desk team was amazing.. The manager at Xaysomboun Hotel helped us by sending a driver to collect us, and allowed us to check in early. In addition. He even arranged for someone to deliver a lost item to one of our group at the train station before he departed. So generous and hospitable and all the services were reasonably priced. I enjoyed our stay and our experience in Vientiane was improved because of it. Thank you!

From the moment we walked in, we felt a warm smile and a sincere welcome, and this feeling stayed with us throughout our stay. The hotel is in a location is very good, just a 3 to 5 -minute walk to the night market and the city. , just a stone's throw away from the night market. The hotel staff speaks great English. The room is large, clean and tidy, fully equipped, the air conditioner is quiet and cool, the bed is very comfortable, and there is a rich breakfast. You can go to the front desk to go sightseeing or change money and call a taxi, which is very convenient. Thank you very much for your service

Myself and my partner book for one night but we are stayed here for 3 nights, it was easily our most comfortable and most luxurious accommodation we have stay in so far on our travels around South East Asia. The room was amazing, most comfortable bed we have had since starting our travels and the breakfast buffet was top notch! It is great value for money and their Sky bar is fab to watch the sunset. They also have a pool which we made use of. The staff were so helpful and lovely I would highly recommend staying here as you are passing through Vientiane

Good breakfast. Large comfortable bed. Nice large hot shower. Good location near central bus station and only a short walk to the waterfront.

My room had a window but it was barricaded on the outside so I couldn’t see out and no air could get in. Also the aircon was fairly ineffective so sleep was poor as too warm. By the time I realised it was too late at night and I was too tired to repack and move room which I’m sure they would have done if I asked.

Nice spacious room, very clean, with hot water kettle to make tea/coffee. Good WiFi. Central location, walking distance to the major sights and temples. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, with lots of both Western and Asian options

Not many restaurant options in the neighbourhood, and the one restaurant next to the hotel (part of the hotel?) is unfortunately not that great. The staff at Reception is below par, not at all helpful, and tends to act a bit uppity, like they're doing you a favour when checking you in

Good Location, nice swimming pool, the breakfast was really good with lots of options, the room I had was very big and spacious! shower worked great, bed was comfy, great value for what you get.

not much I didn’t like about the place, they could use new lounge chairs for around the pool and more hangers for clothes in the room.
