I loved the location of the hotel. I was there on a personal pilgrimage with my older mother to the Gate of Dawn and it was just a few minutes away. It was also wonderful to take the bus 88 from the airport which took only 18 minutes and literally stopped on the outside of the gate. It costs also only .90 cents. The woman at the reception who was there the whole week was so helpful and lovely and always acknowledged us. I also appreciate that she went in the back to find yet another umbrella for us on a very rainy day. We also had pleasant conversations with the staff in the breakfast room and the breakfast was good as well. I would definitely come back to the hotel.

It was getting a little colder in the first week of October and the central heating wasn't on yet, but luckily it didn't get too bad. Also, the tv is a little useless. It had only one channel in English which worked for first two days, the rest of the time it basically didn't work. It would have been lovely if it was a smart tv and one could've logged in to netflix or such. As I was with an older mother, we didn't leave the hotel in the evenings and it would've been nice to see a movie or something on a bigger screen than my phone :-)

Excellent location in the heart of the old town but also close to train station and airport. Staff were friendly and I appreciated being able to check in late at night after an evening flight and being able to come and go with 24 hour reception.

The corridors were a good temperature but the room itself was very warm, especially at night, and the church bells were very loud in the mornings because I had to have the windows open to be a comfortable temperature. The heated towel rail in the bathroom is a lovely feature but far too hot in that weather and couldn’t be turned off.

Great location, right in the center of the old town and yet private parking available (paid). The building moved away from the street so it is extremely quiet day and night. Breakfast quite basic but sufficient. Room quite large with comfortable beds, bathroom ok.

Not very significant drawbacks, but maybe important to someone: no air-conditioning, the bathroom lacks a shelf or at least hooks on which to hang clothes while showering, a no-entry sign on the only access street to the hotel so in fact you have to break the rules to get there.

I was truly enchanted by my stay at Domus Maria, located right in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, just steps away from the iconic Gates of Dawn. The hotel is situated in a beautifully preserved historic building that looks like it dates back to the 17th century, adding to the atmosphere of timeless elegance and serenity. The staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful — and all spoke excellent English, which made communication easy and pleasant. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, with spacious hallways, wide staircases, and bright, comfortable rooms. Despite the age of the building, guest comfort has been carefully considered — a modern and tasteful elevator shaft has been added without disrupting the aesthetic. The breakfast hall is absolutely stunning: large, filled with natural light, and centered around a beautifully crafted old wooden bar. Sacred artwork hangs throughout the corridors and dining areas, and there is a Bible in each room. These thoughtful details create the impression of being in a former early Baroque monastery — dining in what feels like a historic refectory. This was not just accommodation — it was an experience. I would highly recommend Domus Maria to anyone seeking a peaceful, beautiful, and deeply memorable stay in Vilnius.

You can’t escape destiny. When I set off on my business trip to Vilnius, there was a major renovation happening right outside my home, directly across from my windows. Upon arrival in Vilnius, I was given a hotel room that seemed to overlook a peaceful lawn — and yet, to my surprise, renovation works were underway there too. Fortunately, the following days brought the weekend, and the construction noises quieted down.

I was absolutely delighted with my stay at Hotel Domus Maria in Vilnius! Everything was perfect from the delicious food to the cozy, impeccably clean room that made me feel right at home. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of the Old Town, with stunning views and easy access to all the main attractions. The staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help, which made my experience even more enjoyable. The peaceful atmosphere of this historic hotel added a special charm to my trip. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay highly recommended for anyone visiting Vilnius! I will definitely return. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

This was our second stay at this hotel. We chose the hotel and liked this stay for the same reasons - comfort, cleanliness and great location in the historic part of the town. We also appreciated the interior which features pictures and reproductions of Vilnius from historic books. Breakfast was good and the staff were very nice and helpful.

It appears that many hotels around Vilnius, including this one, now have an additional parking fee for private parking if you come by car (as compared to a couple years ago), so take this into account. The stay itself was great and we liked everything.

This hotel is a little gem in the heart of a beautiful city. It is located in the old city within walking distance to all that the city has to offer and just far enough away to be quiet. The building itself has an amazing history and you do get to experience that energy in it's modern form as a hotel. Staff were great, nothing was a problem and they were always helpful day and night. The rooms were definitely more than fine for us and we would recommend this hotel. Plus with this hotel having lots of charm and history it was a great place to stay that is perfectly matched for a city as beautiful as Vilnius. If I ever get the chance to get back to Vilnius this hotel will be my choice again.

Perfect location, clean sheets, friendly personel. Very nice windows with wide window sills, where you could sit and enjoy drinking a cup of tea with view to the courtyard, which was under reconstruction (it has potential to be very nice view). You can hear church bells ringing if window is open, it adds certain charm.

While we were relaxing, someone tried to enter the room, luckily we kept the door locked. Bathroom needs upgrading (soap container was broken, bath mirror slightly chipped). It was generally cold in the room, rooms are not sound-proof, you could hear a little echo while speaking in the room.

The hotel is located just within the old city walls in a former Carmelite friary, next to the church of St Teresa with which the friary was associated; the hotel rooms are located around a courtyard behind the church. It has been sympathetically converted and retains something of a monastic ambience. The room and bed were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Being within the old town walls, it's only a few minutes' walk to the old town itself. The location is excellent, the hotel and rooms charming, and it is very good value for money. We look forward to staying there again when we next visit Vilnius! It is a short walk of about 15 minutes to get to Vilnius train station.

The location was perfect for us and the places we needed to visit. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and cheerful. We were given an upgrade to a very pleasant room, with spare pillows and a small seating area. Efficient lift, plenty of hot water, spacious shower. Housekeeping was very efficient. A luggage room for early arrivals or late departures.

Slightly disconcerting to not be able to flush toilet paper away in our room, despite the fact that the room was quite recently refurbished. Noise travels from nearby rooms so that, although the hotel is in a very quiet area, there were some guests who seemed unaware of their loud voices and footsteps. The breakfast was quite basic but it was fresh with decent coffee.
