Great location in the centre. Comfortable room Was told on arrival that a deposit of 250 euro would be taken but despite presenting my card this was never taken, and hence never needed to be refunded, therefore don't worry about it. Perhaps they just take the card details? Breakfast was very good and varied Despite some reviews mentioning high charges for WiFi it was free and reliable during our stay, so again nothing to worry about there

According to booking.com our room was supposed to have a view of the valley but it had no such thing. When I asked at reception I was just told sorry there are none currently available... The room was a bit on the small side, in fact the bathroom seemed bigger than the bedroom

The hotel is located in a central area and is near to many places of interest which we could visit easily by walking. From our room, we could see the Gelle Fra Monument and it was lovely to pop out of the window and enjoy the area around the hotel. The room was clean and tidy. The staff at the reception were very helpful. They could speak English and this was an asset for us. The staff were ready to give us a fan in our room and they also lent us an adapter to use for our mobile charger. We also enjoyed the breakfast. The staff at the breakfast hall welcomed us and attended to us with a smile.

The fact that there is no AC in this hotel made our first night difficult to sleep because it was too hot. When we opened the window, it was useless because it was so calm and warm. Also, it was very noisy outside almost throughout the whole night. We asked for a fan the next day and we were given one. I was aware that the hotel does not have air conditioning in the bedrooms when I booked. However, I thought that the temperature falls at night and so it would be fine. If there are no airconditions, a fan is a must in Summer in order to be able to sleep well.

Hotel Cravat located on the best corner of the city! It’s close to every attraction, transportation, restaurants, town entertainment. The staff is great! The breakfast area above expectations, the food was delicious! The only thing the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning but administration notified immediately while I was booking this hotel. It was not a surprise for us, and we truly didn’t need one. Thank you for providing us with the best service!

The hotel doesn’t have air conditioning system. We were notified immediately while we were booking this hotel. It was not a surprise for us. We truly didn’t need one. We had a blast with our stay.

The location of the hotel is right in the heart of the tourist centre, and a 15 minute walk from the train station. The staff were all very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The waiters at breakfast were magnificent. The breakfast buffet itself was good, with a nice selection of hot and cold options. The room had all the usual amenities, but the apples placed beside the bed each evening we arrived was an amazing small touch i have not encountered before. The room overlooked the Monument of Remembrance but was very quiet. The hotel gives an aura of vintage excellence, and the old fashioned glass elevator highlights that (definitely worth using). The room was a good size with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows and duvets (and extra blanket if required), and the shutout blind outside the window really does cut out all the light. A really pleasant stay and i would definitely stay here the next time i am in Luxembourg.

The staff were very pleasant and good natured. Especially in the bar and on reception. Breakfast had a good choice and was kept well maintained by the staff. The housekeeping service was good. Excellent location for city centre bars/restaurants etc. The cocktail bar was excellent - all staff were great - particularly the young/slim guy who was very friendly - we even bumped into him buying grapefruit for the cocktails during the day. The glass elevator was a classy touch but all areas of the hotel were visually appealing.

The lights/power situation in the room was not very easy to understand. Our room (447) did not have the main 'on' switch labelled - so we initially couldn't get our phone chargers to work. A phone call to reception helped - but we still had to try to work it out by trial and error. Also it was hard to have a shower without semi-flooding the bathroom - but we got the hang of it.

This was such a beautiful hotel. It's old as it states in their description, but it's perfectly maintained. The concierge was so helpful and respectful. Our room was facing the main street and had huge windows, and the noise was not noticeable at all. There is a bar with a fireplace in the lobby with most delicious cocktails. The breakfast also was very complete and the people attending to it were very polite as well. I think that considering the location the hotel was not that expensive considering also everything in Luxembourg is quite expensive. I'd come back if I ever go again to Luxembourg.

This hotel is entirely unique, and really enjoyed it! I had a really nice 4 night stay here. As others mentioned, it is a historic hotel so some of the fixtures are older and not like a new property, but this is also what makes the place so great. You can see the hundred year history because there are still items from over the decades everywhere you look. My room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was a joy every morning - lovely array of options and a beautiful breakfast room. Also, the staff and the service were fantastic, and I appreciated the luxury touches like robes and slippers.

The bathroom I had could use a larger shower curtain because it wasn't large enough to prevent water from spraying in the floor.

The location was excellent. Our room was clean and we liked the apples on the bed side tables every day.

We were pretty surprised that the personel knocked on the door and rushed right in without waiting. This happened a couple of times. One time they had a dog with them because they wanted to inspect the rooms in case of bugs. This made us a bit suspicious if they have had some problems with the issue before. Of course it is good to be aware, but why not inspect the rooms when they are empty? The shower wasn’t placed practically.

Hotel is in a great location - we were able to pop back to our room whenever we wanted from the central location - which is great when it was so cold! The hotel is not modern in style, but I enjoyed the vintage feel. It is nice to have a hotel with a personality, not a bland modern box. There's an old fashioned lift, and a newer version. Bathrooms have old fashioned tiles etc but the shower was lovely and hot, it was clean and it had nice toiletries. Our room had a cute little balcony with a fantastic view overlooking the monument. The staff brought us an apple! Breakfast was great - so much choice, and a lovely elegant old dining area. Staff were friendly - not in a naff way, but they were very nice to us. The ladies toilets near the dining room are like Japanese ones - they have a rotating toilet seat - so odd in such a classic style hotel. Hotels in Luxembourg seem to be quite pricey, but this one including breakfast was a good deal, especially given the central location.

Some people might think the hotel is a little stuffy/old fashioned, but we found it charming. There was some communication about not having air con etc, so I guess they've had a problem with people complaining in the past.

Location, just a few minutes walk from bus stop Hamilius which was handy for airport. Room on 5th floor with triple windows & a little balcony, was able to see part of the Christmas Market. Electric lighting in the room was excellent as usually lighting can be quite dim. Blinds on window as well as curtains which darkened the room a lot and helped us to get to sleep easier. Fridge & tea making facilities. Variety of food at breakfast. Staff efficient and helpful.

Would have liked if there was some milk in the fridge but that’s not an issue really. Everything was lovely. We would stay there again
