We absolutely loved this hotel. The space, design and decor are a perfect mix of modern and traditional. The architecture is unique as the building is built into the stone walls of the Grund and the architect has incorporated the rock wall into the structure. The room was large and simply but beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom brand new and ultra clean. Reviews we read before booking mentioned noise outside on the streets, but we didn’t hear anything. It was very peaceful. The staff were also wonderful and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. I can’t wait to stay again and have already recommended it to friends.

The only downside, which didn’t bother me, was that there’s no elevator so you have to carry your bags up very narrow stairs to your room. If you’re on the third or fourth floor or have any mobility issues, it could be a challenge.

The location was beautiful, away from busy traffic but a close walk to everything. The room was comfortable, very clean, and breakfast was simple and lovely. We especially liked the historic nature of the building which was quite unique with the wall made of natural stone. There was a lively fun looking bar next door but we didn’t hear any sounds at all with the window closed. View from the room was also very cute. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

There was nothing bad at all. We did have a little detour trying to find the elevator from Parking Esprit to the hotel causing us to walk down a hill. Once we spoke to reception- it was no problem to find the elevator short cut. We realized when leaving the parking garage you must transfer from the garage elevator to the GRUND elevator. With the GRUND elevator it’s very easy to get from the hotel to the place d’armes and shopping.

Hotel idealogy is brilliant, 4 high quality rooms.. Service is very personal in good way. Room was very tidy & clean. Breakfast was made of high quality goods. Good coffee, cheeses, breads, yogurts, fruits etc. Hotel location is very practical, good access cross the city by walk (remember elevator next to hotel) not only Grund area. Personnel is brilliant.

Hotel not have elevator. With big luggage upper floors (3&4) access can be challenge due the narrow stairs.

The hotel’s hallway is built into the cliff behind it so the wall is like a cave. There’s just one room per floor so it’s very small and quiet, and I was greeted by a very helpful person at the door. My suite was enormous, well designed and with a beautiful view. The hotel is in the Grund, which is the lower level of the city, and there’s a lift next door to take you up to the city centre this makes it a very quiet place to sleep which I liked.

Just a note to turn on the radiator if you’re feeling cold! There’s a knob on the side.

We absolutely loved the hotel. Its position for exploring the city is wonderful. The beds were comfortable and we loved the interior. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s worth noting there are no lifts/elevators so you need to go up steps with your bags. This wasn’t a problem for us. The bath in room 4 was lovely and we all had a wonderfully peaceful night’s sleep.

Francois was amazing. Very clean and beautiful room in the sensational grund! Great breakfast and very accommodating staff.

The bed was a bit hard for me personally but I asked if the spare duvet in our room could be placed under the sheet on my bed, which they happily did. That made a big difference. The stairs were a challenge even without luggage.

Exceptional beautiful b&b in the center of the city. Perfect combination of modern concrete ceilings, modern and elegant bathrooms, exclusive oak floors, the city’s rocks as the fourth wall in the suits and also in the antique, as well as modern stairways. 4 windows in 2 directions with nice view. Located directly next to one of the city’s elevators in the city center, in walking distance to all points of interest and all restaurants and cafes. Nearby parking worked out fine also. Needless to say that the owner is a wonderful lady, who helped organize a delicious and beautiful birthday cake for the also fabulous breakfast and gave us fabulous recommendations for exceptional dinner nearby. We’ll definitely come back. Thank you very much for accommodating us.

Great location, breakfast was excellent, with options to choose from. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.

I was traveling with two large suitcases, but as the stairs were steep and my room was on the top floor, it was too much to carry them up. Fortunately, the hotel kindly let me store my luggage at the office downstairs.

The property is an historic building with feature stone walls from the base of the haut-ville. Each of the 4 apartments is spacious and offers modern and welcoming facilities including walk in wet room style showers as well as fridge and coffee/ tea making facilities.

Although named a hotel, the facility is manned outside daytime ours and is operated via key codes and pass cards which may not suit everyone. Breakfast is available and the dining room is well presented however despite booking breakfast for my stay, there was no kitchen staff available. However there is a convenient patisserie located 20 metres away that can accommodate breakfast needs.

Great location. Excellent, friendly staff. One morning, the bakery failed to deliver breakfast bread and pastries. The front desk sent me a message that breakfast might be a little late. She then literally ran to another bakery and solved the problem. She was so apologetic that she was not there for a few minutes after we came down for breakfast. My wife and I were actually very impressed with her amazing customer service.
