They can recommend restaurants according to your budget and preferences. You can leave your baggage before check-in and after check-out. *Facilities* Good Wi-Fi speed, water pressure and temperature. Self laundry facilities are available. Both washers and dryers cost RM10.

It would have been nice to have hand towels and slippers in the room.

I had a truly pleasant experience staying at McLane Hotel Penang. The hotel is located in a charming and convenient part of George Town, making it easy to explore nearby attractions, cafes, on foot. The room was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed—combining modern comfort with a touch of heritage charm. The bed was especially comfortable, and the amenities provided were more than sufficient for a relaxing stay. What stood out most was the warm hospitality from the staff. They were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. It made the entire experience feel very welcoming and personal. Very good staff, friendly, helpful & attentive. Great location - handy to walking the streets of Georgetown, yet very quiet for restful sleeping at night.

The bed was reasonably hard, so lacked a bit of comfort for me. No coathangers in wardrobe to allow clothing to be out of luggage.

Staff was great. She tracked me down after I checked out in order to give me my deposit back. Excellent service thank you so much!

Great location in the heart of old Georgetown easy to get around all the sights loads of cheap restaurants and food stalls and 10minute walk to the ferry jetty and bus station the room had a fridge and kettle also a safe and the shower was fantastic also a courtyard/garden area to sit and relax despite being on a street the area was Very quiet at night the Chinese lady on reception was very helpful with tourist information and directions

There was no view from our room as advertised as it was on street level so kept the shutters closed if you was at the back you could look onto the courtyard but this didn't bother us as we were out most of the time

Beautiful heritage building with facilities looking exactly as expected on the photos. Location was great near all the attractions which helped me come back to my hotel to rest from the heat all the time. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Elyn. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at particularly when you take into account value for money. There was a fridge and desk lamp which not all hotels have. Wi-fi was fast.

I would like to commend the 2 receptionist 👏👏 they were very helpful and accommodative. Secondly the hotel is located strategically in George Town, making it suitable to walk across George Town and also very near food markets and the bus stops. This was a hotel that was worth its price. The rooms had a number of amenities including a fridge, hair dryer, English Speaking channels on the television and also a safe.

Everything was nice, only the bed that was slightly uncomfortable but it was still good for sleeping. Maybe some improvement on the bed comfort, but other than that everything else was great about the stay at McLane Boutique.

We received a lovely welcome by the staff and were kindly assisted until the end of our short stay. The hotel is in a nicely renovated old shophouse. The kind of accommodation everyone should stay in Georgetown to feel more the historical vibe. It is fitted out with beautiful dark wooden floorboards and doors/windows. We loved the furnitures too in the room. Every room has similar style furniture with a playful variation of colour and decoration. A unique feature of the hotel is the backyard garden. I don’t think many other properties in the area has this advantage. The property could not be in better location.

It’s fantastic to have a garden in this location but it could be improved by creating a lush tropical escape from the heat.

The hotel is located in the centre of Georgetown, and the heritage area is within walking distance. The room is spacious for 2 people and with enough amenities. A car park is provided opposite the hotel. Restaurants and hawker food stalls are nearby, and there are 2 food stalls directly in front of the hotel if you are looking for some snacks in the middle of the night.

The road and food stalls in front of the hotel might disturb you if you sleep early.
