We stayed at Temple Tree Resort for four nights and the entire experience - from start to finish - was truly one to remember. From the moment we checked in, Minnie was incredibly helpful and attentive (thank you!), always making sure we had a suite that suited our needs. We ended up staying in Johor 1, which I highly recommend to anyone looking for comfort with character. Big thanks also to Raymund and the entire restaurant/bar team - always so kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. We had a small issue with the TV during our stay, but it was quickly addressed by the team, who handled everything with professionalism. This resort has soul - something that’s hard to find. Compared to many other places in Langkawi that felt over-commercialized and lacking charm, Temple Tree stands out for its authenticity, peaceful atmosphere, and attention to detail. A truly special place not to be missed if you’re visiting the island.

Loved the quirky resort with the winding paving with amazing foliage planted. A brilliant location for a calm relaxing holiday. The staff were all amazing and very helpful.

Our property was amazing however the second room could have done with a mosquito net over the bed. I apologise if we didn’t notice a note on the property details when booking but if not I think they should be a note regarding cats on site. My wife is pretty scared of cats so we were always conscious of checking whether there was a cat near her. However, it did not spoil the day.

The amosphere at the hotel is magical, such a nice ambiance. Due to the authentic houses and unique rooms, the beautiful garden, the cute cats and friendly staff. I saw several people comming to the resort to do a private photo session with friends or dogs, lol, which indicates how nice the ambiance is. Although all the staff at the hotel was fantastic, especially Mas and Ramon were very thoughtful to me. Thank you again for making me feel so special when travelling on my own. The restaurant serves good food with nice layed back music, which invited me to dine there twice during my 2 night stay. The room offers a complimentary one time mini bar with soda drinks. And the hotel has four mountainbikes, which can be used by the guests. These extras made me very happy.

I love a gym, but I completely understand this is not really fitting for the hotel concept. Or maybe more yoga classes, instead of only on Saturday.

such a unique place to stay - absolutely beautiful wooden houses with lots of space for families, if you take one of the 2 bedroom options. great bar and excellent wine list at very reasonable prices. Loved the friendly cats! easy location for the airport and you can walk next door to the BonTon which has an excellent restaurant

can be hard to sleep if you are light sleeper/easily disturbed - as the rooms don’t have fully closable windows (there are shutters) not so much the birds/nature which will interrupt sleep but tannoy from the mosque at 6am is pretty loud. bedrooms have decent ac and it does cool down at night but living rooms/bathrooms just have fans so can be very warm during middle day. make sure you have strong mosquito repellent!

This place is a feast for the eyes. The houses are stunning authentic and old which comes with its perks. The swimming pool and the restaurant are great. The staff is helpful and friendly. There are cats living on the territory which are all very friendly and vaccinated. The food in the restaurant is great (but a bit expensive), breakfasts are not that varied but it’s still tasty.

There was one weird thing that made us a bit wary. When the cleaning team would clean the room, the stuff would get moved, appliances would get unplugged or plugged in. Once when we left the safe open, we got contacted by the hotel crew that the cleaning team saw that it was open. From one perspective it’s nice of them to care so much, but coming back to the room and seeing a different picture was not a nice feeling

The only problem with Temple Tree is that it is too perfect with such a lovely setting, a delightful swimming pool and gardens, adorable kittens to watch and good natured staff serving good value and tasty food and drinks it is so tempting not to leave the grounds. The room are very spacious and plantation 5 have 2 large bedrooms each with a good ensuite and a sitting area for reading, chatting or watching TV.

Everything was perfect and if for example a food order was delayed then this was recognised and dealt with so charmingly that there was not a problem

the properties have been brought in as examples of the type of traditional housing seen in Malaysia - so we stayed in Penang 1. landscaping is superbly done. the swimming pool is very long and beautiful. the staff are amazing. really friendly. great food served at restaurant - and brilliant cocktails - try the Vietnamese mojito. we never eat at hotel restaurants but did a few times here.

there is - sadly - a new development going on next door. this can feel disruptive. when we arrived we felt that they should have mentioned this, but in truth, as time went on, we did not find it disruptive and I can see why they Don’t need to mention it. location would be testing if you didn’t know how to use Grab app for local taxis.

Clean and spacious rooms ( we stayed in Penang 1 ) with a nice atmosphere. Excellent swimming pool / pool area. Enjoyable bar area and super breakfast. We celebrated new years eve in the hotel and enjoyed a very nice dinner with a live band. The resort has a very nice collection of fine wines. Irene, Ms.K and other personal made it a memorable stay. The hotel is conveniently close to Cenang Beach ( 2$ by taxi or a 20min walk ).

We loved the general ambience, the beautiful gardens and very helpful and pleasant staff. The unusual nature of the antique wooden accommodation was a delight, complemented by the eclectic choice of furniture.. The restaurant is very good. We would certainly stay there again.

Our only disappointment was that we were led to believe that the hotel is by the beach . It isn't. It's a 20 minute walk down a busy road. However , the taxi rides are cheap and the hotel reception staff were always ready to call for one.
