The cabin had a nice flair and was very clean when we arrived. They even granted us an early check-in. Beach was in a walkable distance but still a bit far (which we knew but still). The hotel had a spacious parking lot for our motorbike and a water dispenser with free water which was very nice. Luggage can be stored after check-out.

The village is located next to a busy street which was a bit loud especially at the evening. Housekeeping came at the third day (because of covid?!- which was kind of strange to us). Later check-out was not granted for free, even though the cabins were all empty during our entire stay.

Its was a fantastic stay. I grew up in the north of Malaysia, staying close to the paddy field make me reminisce my chilhood and I was happy that my daughter had a glimpse of that experience. From the surroundings, the sound of frogs and cicadas, and waking up to the paddy field with its birds, butterflies and buffalos. Gemalai village is within the proximity of the Paddy Museum (Laman Padi) so we take a full package to experience a glimpse of the northern way of life in Malaysia. The rooms are well designed, spacious and is within walking distance to Chenang beach so we definitely will be staying here again if we are in Langkawi.

They accept bags till checkin 3pm no front disk before 12 noon the towels little stained the bathroo m has an open part near the roof although it helps the hut design but difficult for children and risks insects. However no problem reported about insect

Lovely position in rice paddy field. Abundant wild life. Egrets, kingfishers, red wattled lapwings a plenty. The raised hut on stilts was delightful, with the dining table underneath. It was a short walk to the beach and all the amenities.

Not much. The loo flush was a bit slow but we didn't let them know so that's our fault. The breakfast, although generous wasn't perfect but to be honest that's us being picky. We were very pleased overall. Thanks!

Rustic accommodations facing a rice field. Breakfast served on the lower balcony. Unique accommodations but only for the adventurous . We thoroughly enjoyed it. Within walking distance of beach, grocery store and restaurants. Excellent experience. We were there 3 nights and very much enjoyed it.

Not for the light sleeper. Near a side street with many motorcycles. Also every night packs of dogs were howling and barking. Roosters may bother some but not us.

bed bugs! - hope they can treat the mattress to kill the bed bugs. my son and I woke up in the middle of the night with bites all over our body. we know its bed bugs coz we saw lots of tiny bits of blood spots on the mattress when we woke up

Fantastic place to stay. The room is fitted with aircon and a fan and is very spacious. A semi outdoor bathroom is also so well maintained and lovely. The view was so picturesque. Within a short walk to the main beach (Pantai Cenang) however walking back at night it is not lit. The staff are so kind and hospitable, they even let me take a shower in their staff area as my flight was at 10pm and I had spent the day at the beach.

Bring lots of bug spray because I got quite bitten by mosquitos. The room is close to the main strip and therefore very loud too.

Be ready for some mosquitoes (inevitable because of the style of the house), personally not too bothered but just bring some repellent spray Morning got woken up by loud prayer broadcast at ~5.30/6am which lasts quite long
