Fantastic concept and well executed. Getting a seaview room was a great decision, lots more privacy and had a small patio area to myself to enjoy the ocean. The attached Tapaz restaurant also served delicious food and drinks all day. The rooms and bathrooms were a lot cleaner than expected. I do recommend arriving during the day to get oriented in the daylight since nighttime lighting is low.

Note that even private bathrooms are a little bit of a walk away (not attached to the room) and expect to see some spiders hanging around since facilities are open air. Rooms are not very sound-proof so you are at the mercy of your neighbours (especially upstairs). Don't bring food into your room, you will get ants.

I came here for the view, and it did not disappoint. Quick action from the owner to the staff, when there's facilities needed to be looked at and repairing. Food menu was carefully curated and was served quickly. I had the unit called PH2, which is private, quiet and facing the sea view. It's the best unit in the hotel in my honest opinion. From the reception gate to go to my unit, I had to pass by other units, which, depends on the guests staying there, may incur smoke smell. I'm not a smoker myself, and I don't enjoy smelling second hand smoke willingly. The bathroom doesn't have hooks to hang clothes / towel. Will be better if it has one / some. A basket for toiletries will be nice too in the bathroom. These are not major turnoff. I still had fun being creative during my stay.

This place is awesome! The rooms are really quirky, comfortable, and the view is absolutely incredible! Best sunset view on the whole of Langkawi by far. It is a little way off the main strip but was only 6 ringitts to get a cab or you can walk along the beach in about 15-20 mins. Unfortunately the owner was away for a few days when we arrived but Uncle Mike (a true legend of Lamgkawi!) couldn't have been nicer when we checked in, and made sure everything was perfect for us the whole time. THEY HAVE A BEER ATM....what more do you need?!?!? Breakfast included too which we didn't realise, absolutely fantastic with loads of choice. Honestly don't think we could've picked a better place to stay

Breakfast was outstanding. Lots of choice, and choices that I have never seen before. The quality and taste of all 4 breakfasts we had were fantastic. It was the best breakfast we had from 112 days of travelling Asia in similarly priced hotels. Staff were great, helpful and always on hand (including the boss, his wife and waitress Nanna). Seaview was beautiful. The hotel was very unique, colourful and well decorated. A quirky stay in the tube. There was a cute friendly dog on site. Free filtered chilled water on site.

Could be better gluten free options or at least allergen information on menus. I would have liked it if there was tea/coffee in the tube, however the owner was very accommodating in allowing us to boil our kettle (yes, we really travel with one) and make our coffee in the public spaces

It’s located near to the airport and Chenang beach yet it has a peaceful ambience. Place is clean and the owner is very friendly. Uncle Mike and the rest of the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was top notch and there are regulars at this place that makes it feel like home. Awesome place for those who are simplistic and adventurous as it has the basic of basic facilities so it was my ideal holiday as I wanted a simple non luxurious holiday.

Nothing to not like about it. Just needs a little sprucing up and minor repairs here and there

Mattresses need changing - thin & lumpy and the shower curtain hanging by a thread. They could make much more of this place - make the sea view ones really special a d those are the people that can afford to eat there.

the view from the sea view room was gorgeous, the staff were so so friendly, the bed was comfortable and the aircon worked perfectly!!

water in the bathroom was a bit temperamental, the tub is small but that was expected so not a massive issue.

Alex is an absolute gem ! The place had such a different Langkawi vibe with Spanish undertones in music and culinary . Insanely cheap prices for an accommodation with so much heart . Spent a whole day in the resto with bottomless beers , breakfast and ongoing tapas , chatting around and laughing facing the sun . 11/10 would go again , just for that fusion hospitality .

The view from the tube room was lovely, the evening sunset is magical. The breakfast is superb! Absolutely a winner for me! The rooms are really clean too.

We had some teething problems on the first night which we were warned about before we booked. The restaurant wasn't due to open until the second night of our stay. This was ok but we were unable to connect to WiFi so we couldn't find an alternative place to eat nearby, it was late, we were tired and hungry and a bit desperate to eat and sleep so some extra guidance would have been welcomed for sure. Not the best start to our trip but the opening of the restaurant the next day most certainly made up for that! It was worth the wait
