The location of the hotel were next to Sunway Carnival Mall and with alot of restaurant nearby. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable. The gesture that i love the most is the reserved parking for our car with the printed signage with our plate number , the very first time I experience after so many hotel experience of 4-5 stars.Thank so much for this. Another gestures i which i need to highlight is the coffee house staff.We when down with our parents for dinner, but the coffee house was close for private event.But when the F&B staff aware that my father in law leg are not okay,they immediately clear the back table for us to sit and take our order,and i was so grateful for them to do that as my FIL is not in a good condition to walk much. ❤️

The cafe was somehow close and we can order room service as the are closed for private function. I believe the room service can continue even we cant dine in at the restaurant.

It's location near to Permatang Pauh, where we attended a wedding function. I believed there's some renovation had been carried out on the hotel. The furnitures and fixtures in the room were new. Nice and comfortable single sofa. I like the large pillows provided, comfortable and not hard. The room has many practical built-in cabinets. There's 2 units of self checking-in kiosk in the lobby. First you have to go the reception counter to ger the reservation number. With that number you can called out your detail from the kiosk and added in additional info such as your car reg. plate, signed electronically on the kiosk screen and completed your payment using credit card on the kiosk. A helpful and affable gentleman by the name Mr Dassa helped us on using the checking-in kiosk. I believed he's from concierge as he brought us our luggage up to the room.

The room lighting were a bit dim. There's only 2 lift cars to cater for all guests, hence manage your movements during non-peak time only. The car parks were bit limited but in worst case you could park at the multi-storey car parks for Sunway Medical Centre, just besides the hotel. But I think you might not get the parking fee waiver from the hotel.. The breakfast was a disappointment as it does not have much spread and taste wise, it just so-so.

The hotel is definitely well and strategically located. Sunway Medical Center next door. And walking distance to the Sunway Carnival Mall and Billion Supermarket, Nasi Kandar restaurants, banks and convenient stores. The hotel was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Ample car park and complimentary after you validate your parking ticket, or your Touch n Go card. As you enter the lobby, your nose will immediately pick up the smell of lemon grass in the air. Calming effect for me. And known to keep away the mosquitoes. The staffs, including the security guards, are warm, friendly and very helpful. R. Dasa at the Front Office, in particular whom I believe deserves mention, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the hotel and the Seberang Jaya town. The room given to me faced the Light Hotel and KWSP building. Further in the background is a beautiful view of the Penang Bridge and Penang Island. The room and bathroom are clean and well maintained. The blackout curtains made the room totally pitch dark for a great sleeping experience. The strong water pressure and nice hot water made showering great. The gymnasium located on Level 1A which opens 24 hours is very well equipped. That helped me not miss my daily cardio and weights workout before breakfast. My daughter and I had breakfast at the Soulutions Café located in the lobby. There was Nasi Lemak, Fried Char Koay Teow, Congee, Noodles and Soup, Salad, Egg Station, Cereal and bread. Only two choice of juices and three choices of fruits. There are also Bread Butter Pudding (which is a bit hard and taste more like eating a muffin) and Banana Cake. Not much of a variety or a luxurious spread but suffice for a quick sumptuous breakfast to last until lunch. Having served as Ambassador of Malaysia to Cambodia from 2005-2008, Sunway Hotel Phnom Penh has been my preferred hotel to host and entertain my guests and colleagues. Room was very clean. Sufficient parking during this time though limited during peak season. Well maintained facility and there is always room for improvement

My concern would be parking during peak season. Suggest to twin up with SMC. Bar opening hours should be extended to midnight. It would be a waste if the large screen is not fully optimised to watch live football coverage.

The hotel felt very luxurious. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were really polite, kind and understanding. The hotel is far from the tourist attractions, but after all if you visit Penang solely for tourism, I would recommend staying on the island in order to avoid the traffic on the bridges.

The air conditioning was quite difficult to figure out- either the device didn't work properly or we were doing something wrong, but we were unable to adjust the temperature in the room.

Rooms were good and clean and bigger; Breakfast was good but need to add some Indian Asena cuisines. and didn't used the parking space but having the ample space with valet.

Bathroom not pre fitted with hand faucet, after giving the call to reservation counter they fitted the hand faucet and in between the 2 rooms there was a door which have opening from other side , the noise from other room is disturbing. and could not sleep for 1st day. that door has to be sound proof.

It’s always my go to place at seberang jaya whenever i’m in town since 10 years ago until now. Some improvement, the breakfast choice and menu should be upgraded. I paid RM43 for breakfast just to receive sambal sotong without sotong at 8.30am. Food need to be checked frequently.

Room is nice, quite spacious. Got everything that I need; iron, mini fridge, complimentary drinking water, hot showers, towels, and etc. I didn't take the hotel breakfast, so can't comment on that. Free parking is available on site.

Cleanlines and facilities. Area close with pasar tani. Just walk less than 5 minutes in the morning I will get traditional breakfast like kueyteow goreng, nasi lemak, roti canai, kuih muih and many more.

Perfect location. Near to supermarket,shopping mall and a brand new Medical Center. Ample parking space with 24-hours security. Very clean room and the room smells good. Great housekeeping - topped up 2 bottled waters and changed bath towels daily. Good water pressure with consistent Hot water supply for shower.

The buffet breakfast and a la carte dinner were a let down. The restaurant has to work on food taste and food quality to catch up with the rest of the hotel’s performance.
