I stayed at The Light Hotel Penang for four days and three nights with my elderly parents. As I was traveling with them, having a spacious and comfortable room was a priority. I was delighted to find that your hotel offers a Premier Two-Bedroom Suite, which turned out to be the perfect choice for our stay. The suite met our expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to your front desk staff and especially to Concierge Manager Mr. Yusuf for their excellent service. Their professionalism and attentiveness made our stay even more pleasant. However, I would like to provide some feedback regarding the breakfast experience. Unfortunately, the food was not hot and did not appear appetizing, which was a disappointment compared to the otherwise high standards of the hotel. I hope this can be improved to enhance the overall guest experience. Thank you for your hospitality, and I look forward to visiting The Light Hotel again in the future.

We had an amazing experience at the Light Hotel! We were traveling at Penang and decided to stay at this hotel for 10 days. The room was spacious for a family of four at their family room, towels were changed everyday, water bottles were replenished everyday, and the breakfast was fantastic! Kids can be very picky when it comes to food and I’m so glad that the food variety offered at the breakfast buffet able to fill my kids tummy! They have other services like a massage center (for moms to take a break from kids) and a small children playroom.

The staff were so warm and welcoming. They made our stay really great! Always greeting and smiling. Breakfast had such a variety and so many options. Even the pickiest of eaters would be placated. Even though we stayed over the busiest festive period, the dining area was able to accommodate hotel guests with ease and staff were trained to handle guests with ease. The room itself was comfortable. I loved the spa which offered such great value.

Pool got extremely crowded at times, not sure if there was a limitation on number of occupants. The tea/coffee station was poorly managed, cold morning beverages that were pre-poured was not very pleasant.

The breakfast spread is great. Good hospitality. Location near local attraction within walking distance. Ample parking space outdoor. Clean and very well maintained. Recommended to stay for short or long stay.

The Underground parking is limited and not directly connected to the lift. Visitor/Guest need to take up stairs to reach the lobby. A little troublesome if you need to travel with a wheelchair or stroller as you need to drop off them at the lobby entrance first and make another round for indoor underground parking. Just a little inconvenience for me.

Outstanding 5 Star Hotel. We can highly recommend this hotel. We extended 2 times because of the extraordinary service and overall experience. Very very friendly personal who made us feel at home right away. Everybody went the extra mile to fulfil every request we had. We have stayed in a lot of hotels the last couple of years but this one is very special and offered the overall best experience so far. The breakfast was a dream come true. The gym is very well equipped and maintained with great machines and a free weight area. The standards offered by this hotel can be compared with every 5 star hotel in Europe and the service offered is even better then most of the 5 star hotels in Europe. Lovely experience for us with lots of great memory's made. We will definitely come back! Keep the good service up and don't change anything!

Fantastic hotel. Breakfast served buffet style with so many options, all delicious. Room was exquisite, clean and super comfortable with an amazing view with free upgrade when we arrived. Room service food also very tasty. Plenty of parking, which was free. Very courteous and attentive staff that really made it feel like a special/personal experience. Great pool and gym facilities. Extremely good 5 star experience.

Located a little far from the main attractions, but not an issue given how cheap/easy it is to get a Grab/Taxi.

There was an abundance of selection at the buffet. We loved being on the mainland which provided spacious surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Our fridge although working was not cooling down the drinks at all. We told our housekeeper and an official who was hovering when checking out and he didn’t even ask for our room number. We also filled out the questionnaire which was left on the desk. The hotel is a distance from Penang Island however took the ferry to cross using taxi’s each side which was cheaper.

Room was wonderful spacious for 3 pax and the food breakfast, dinner briyani choices (with sauces) are delished.

The Thai Buffet Offer was abit disappointment. We expect vast variety of Thai option but only a row of it.. and rather dry on some dishes. Expect some Thai teas, mango with pulut etc. Pls improve more. On same note, pls consider to put more hanging pins for towels.. so big toilet but only 1 by shower door and above bowl.

there was a problem with parking, asked to park in the basement, but the staff told me the basement was for hotel customers who were staying only, i came to stay too..but because i hadn't checked in yet, i wasn't allowed to park downstairs. the staff asked me to park outside the hotel because the parking lot around the hotel was full

All good breakfast as well as location

No tissue papers or hand towel near wash basin. No warning to the guest that they are folding up the breakfast at 10 am . Guests who are eating breakfast are left high & dry as the staff without politily telling them that they are removing the food items & if guests wants they can pick up the food items , the staff starts in a hurried fashion removing everything sharp at 9.55 am as if there is fire fighting going on to clear the restaurant of all items kept for guest eating
