Great, small hotel on the far end of the Malecon. We enjoyed everything about the place, and do not agree at all with some of the negative comments posted about Club El Moro. Check your heads people, you’re in another country. The one thing we would wish for is that the pool be heated, but that’s not common in La Paz and we knew what to expect. For those needing their all inclusive experience, go to Cabo San Lucas instead, pay 4 times as much and enjoy the aggressive hawkers, wasted Americans and tacky hotels. La Paz is for people looking for something more meaningful, and the El Moro is a clean, comfortable, peaceful, inexpensive and authentic hotel to stay while exploring the amazing area.

Feels like a home away from home. Nice ample space for the fam bam. There’s BBQ pits and plenty of seating area to hang out. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. One very decent bakery/restaurant next door ( the chilaquiles!! Must have) Not in the louder part of the city it’s perfectly located. I have enjoyed my stay here on two different occasions for 5-7 days. I got suite 301 both times. It was perfect.

Only thing I can say is the lobby looks very plain and dated . I would recommend some upgrades with some nice clean seating/wating area. Essentially more welcoming, maybe some fresh flowers.

I loved everything about this hotel- The location, the ambiance, the rooms, the customer service. We stayed four nights for my birthday. The rooms were pristine clean and well decorated- we came to the surprise of a full kitchen! The front desk was very helpful, and, Hector helped us book a tour to Espiritu Santo, also recommended a great place for burgers, El Mesquite 10/10! El Moro has an adjacent restaurant/bakery- Ventrino, it was delicious! We had breakfast here every morning. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a great stay. We'll be back soon! Very large living area and outside deck. The outside area by pool with palm trees and fountains are better than what is shown in pictures. Very serene and very clean...We had outstanding housekeeping service every day. Enjoyed the use of kitchen and large fridge. Bakery next to hotel was very tasty, although expensive. Enjoyed use of cooler and towels you could take to the beach and return every day. Liked the large glass canister for purified water. For 50 pesos we bought a huge water bottle and was good for a couple weeks. Air conditioner worked well.

The pool is very cold, colder than the ocean. Bed was a bit hard. There was a briquet barbecue that was never used. They allowed us to use it, so we bought some briquets and lighter fluid and voila!, had a few barbecues :) Having a propane barbecue would be a huge asset to the hotel. There is a large sitting area near it where people could gather while cooking. Only once while we were there for 11 nights did we ever see people use that area. No one else used barbecue.

Loved the location being on the Malecon where you can walk, run, bike. The bed was very cozy and AC worked well. Hot shower. The interior garden of the property was beautiful with a lovely pool, a little cold for my liking but a really nice atmosphere nonetheless. The restaurant on the property served a really nice grilled fish. For the price, it was more than I bargained for. Also loved that they rented out beach umbrellas and coolers for free!

The living room of the room wasn't very inviting, I don't think we spent any time there at all.

Very comfortable, great facilities, we had a kitchen with dishes and cooking utensils. Microwave, Fridge and Freezer toaster oven. We had a 2 bedroom and a friend stayed in it. Onsite restaurant had really good food. If I return to La Paz I know were I am staying at that is the El Moro!

I can't say that anything could have been better. It was very clean the pool was very well maintained and all of the hotel was kept very clean. Only slight drawback was it was at the end of the Malecon. It was still only about a 15 minute walk to the popular part of the Malecon.

This suite was wonderful; large and comfortable, with a nice view past the pool and garden over the reception building to the ocean. The main bedroom was in the back, very quiet and the bed was great. Attached restaurant was delicious for breakfast, and the saltwater pool was refreshing. Grounds were meticulously cleaned, and the architecture is really unique and interesting.

This property dates in phases from the 70s, and while many updates have been made, we had some sewer gas smells back up in the bathroom at night. Simply closing the door kept it from spreading, and it cleared up during the day when more water runs through the system. This is a very common issue for the neighborhood, and didn't detract from our enjoyment of the room.

The suite was very spacious, light, airy and quiet. We enjoyed the pool and access to the bakery in the restaurant. The staff, especially in the restaurant, were very kind and helpful, and the location was very convenient for all our activities. The kitchen might have been better stocked with a few basic items such as paper towels, a cutting board, salad bowl or serving bowl and salt and pepper. On the whole or experience was great. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

A welcoming atmospheres right by the water. A wonderful restaurant on site. Plenty of chairs by the pool and even during the off season you could order food and drink next to the pool. All of the staff was very friendly and provided a calm atmosphere. We really liked that the main malecon area was about a 10/15 minute walk from the hotel. This gave you easy access by foot or car but is far enough away to help to reduce some of the city noise.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Our room was great and we appreciated having a kitchen, sitting area and a deck. The pool area was also very nice and we enjoyed relaxing in the lounge chairs. The location is excellent being across from the malecon. We enjoyed walking the 20 minutes or so to get to the restaurants and stores. The staff were friendly and attentive. We would stay here again.

The only downside is that the bed was too firm. It could really use a foam topper. We didn’t have the most comfortable sleep - woke up with sore backs. A topper would really help.
