We loved this hotel! the room view was exceptional! we could see the ocean from the bed. We enjoyed taking pictures and walking around the hotel and down to the beach. The room is spacious, clean and so unique! Each room has an additional shower outside with an ocean view to rinse off with fresh water. This hotel is wonderful! Fast wifi! that probably you won't even use because this hotel is perfect to relax and take a break from your phone. Free parking is available!

Breakfast was delicious but they charged in USD. If they want to charge USD, they should include breakfast in the value since not many restaurants in town offer breakfast. Or, charge in MX so it doesn't feel weird. Breakfast is also available for one hour and you have to reserve the day before. I just wish the whole breakfast situation was more flexible because the breakfast was delicious!

Such an architecturally unique and artistic resort! For (very rural) Mexico, a higher-quality resort.. the casita rooms were eclectic, artistic, adorable, clean and comfortable… I told my husband the details felt a little like Gaudi in Spain. Mosaic tile details, cobblestone paths, colorful accents and details, lovely landscaping..unique Mexican artwork throughout the resort . Great common areas . Staff was wonderful! Nellie went out of her way to assist us! She was the best! We had such a lovely experience there.

We felt at this price point, that it was annoying to have to manually open and close the front gate.. a code operated gate would be preferable. A bar where we could purchase cocktails would have been nice…

Nely was always taking care of us and gave us great recommendations for activities and organizing everything for a wonderful stay. The breakfast is amazing. There is a kitesurfing school that is part of the hotel and my husband was very happy with the trainers. The rooms are clean and cozy our view to the ocean was incredible. We were there at the end of the last year and the 31st December and we enjoyed the starry sky is the most wonderful sky that I have seen. We were feeling at home

Such a peaceful and quiet getaway. Rejuvenating after being in chaotic Los Cabos. Beautiful property and ocean view bungalow 3 was very comfortable, clean, spacious and nicely appointed. Private outdoor space was lovely. Toni the owner was a great help and was very kind. We appreciated him arranging a private whale/dolphin and snorkeling boat trip that picked us up right at the property beach, and I enjoyed a most relaxing massage in my room. Food was good although we only tried breakfast. Location suited us well. Snorkeled right at beach. Not just for avid kite surfers.

Beautiful eco-resort nestled amongst the cacti and bougainvillea of El Sargento. If you are looking for a quiet, small B&B style accommodation on a rarely visited beach (aside from kite boarders in the windy season) at the end of a dirt road, look no further. While this property is definitely not for everyone, it was a perfect resting place for us to recharge, rent kayaks to explore the bay, do yoga, and relax. We barely saw any other travelers during our trip and really enjoyed the peace and quiet that Ventana Bay Resort provides.

We loved everything about the property but know that this is a small community (dirt road, no large grocery store, not many amenities) and that the rooms do not have kitchens (there was a small refrigerator in our room). There are a couple good restaurants within 15 minutes walking distance up & down the beach.

Brilliant! each unit is independent cottage style, overlooking the stunning Ventana bay with glorious sunsets every day. Kitchen is only open for breakfast on request - it seems we were there in a slower season.

The only down side is that it is a couple miles of dirt road to actually get to the location - potholes and great amounts of dust have to be navigated any time you come and go from the Lodge.

Wonderful accommodating staff! Beautiful property on the ocean. Very comfortable beds and soft sheets. Our room was very private and the stars were amazing at night. Hot water in the shower and good water pressure. Plenty of drawers and hangers for clothing. Amazing cold mini fridge, small but workable.

The restaurant on site serves breakfast and lunch only with prior reservations. With no walkable nearby restaurants it would be nice to have a restaurant/bar open for dinner. We were disappointed in our small room when we first checked in as last time we had a much larger room. But we had plenty of room for two and the privacy and good sleep in the comfortable bed was amazing. Softer pillows would be very nice.

We love that it was on the beach and very intimate. 15 rooms I believe. We stayed in a superior ocean view Casita. Super comfortable, great views, huge bathroom, really clean and nice. We were traveling with another couple who were right next-door, which made it very nice. Breakfast was very good, I wish they had chaises at the beach. We’re not windsurfers, and it felt like most ghuests were. The Ventana Beach area was really all about it - fun to watch. Springis the wnd season. . Breezy in the afternoons :-) So afternoons are windy but the rest of the time was quite beautiful.

I didn’t like there was no dinner option. I wish there was a hot tub or a small pool. Again I wish there were some chaises at the beach.

We loved our stay at Ventana Bay Resort! I'm not a wind sports person, but the grounds were so lovely and peaceful, just hanging out at our bungalow watching the birds, sipping coffee, reading and lounging was extremely restorative. Easy stroll to the beach where we could jump into the water for a quick snorkel and swim. Didn't have time to take a kayak out (as wind sports folx know, in March it gets super windy by 11ish) but that kept the temperature pleasant and great for beach walking, hiking (many trails around!) and visiting the hot springs just a bit up the beach. We got a chance to try dinner the night we arrived and it was absolutely delicious - carefully prepared and plentiful. Breakfast everyday was lovely - highly recommend the huevos rancheros. Really enjoyed the shared and unstaffed rooftop "bar" for morning sunrise watching, general hanging out. Lots of thoughtful shared spaces and amenities (books, videos and games, binoculars and sunscreen). It's just a short 5 min drive from busier parts of El Sargento/La Ventana, easy to find food and snacks and so nice to come home to the quiet of our bungalow. The brickwork cupolas, solid wood built-ins and meandering stone pathways are designed with intention and constructed with beautiful craftsmanship. We always felt both comfortable and low key delighted to be amid beauty and nature.

almost nothing! Any issues I had were with other guests who were more focused on getting their kiting in than on maintaining the mellow vibe!

The property is ideally located with several room options. Privacy is excellent. Noise is minimal and never an issue. The beach is very close and easy to access. The staff was very helpful and responsive to our needs. They provided helpful information prior to our arrival. All things considered Ventana Bay resort is one of our all time favorites for a quiet, relaxing and enjoyable escape from typical beach resorts.
