It was very clean & well maintained. The AC worked well. The staff at the connected restaurant (George’s) was very nice.

The front desk was not very informative. They didn’t inform us they provided bottled water at no charge, the connected restaurant had HH deals, free coffee in the AM and also that we would get a discount on access to the El Ganzo beach club across the street. We went out & bought water bottles the first 3 days until another guest told us it was complimentary provided by the hotel. They also only cleaned our room one time (on the last day) of our entire 4 night stay. We paid full price at the El Ganzo beach club access and then learned we could’ve gotten a 50% discount.

Location was perfect, beach and marina across street. Overall very quiet, slept well. Room very clean and well kept. Enjoyed pool. Bottled water restocked daily. Loved the tropical fruit bowl for breakfast.

Access to ice to cool water. Got small scoops from bar that melted quickly. Coffee maker in room would have been a HUGE plus.

We loved staying at this hotel and would definitely be back. We were a part of a wedding that was taking place across the street and it was so great to have our own pool to hang out by.

the pool needed more consistent cleaning just for the insects and better towel replacement by house keeping.

Beautiful location (across the street street from another hotel and the marina/beach! Nicely furnished and appointed rooms, very nice and helpful staff (front desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff, and restaurant chiefs.) Wonderful pool and lounge area. The LaMarina (George) restaurant has great food. There are also some local/local eating locations within two to five blocks (Carranza, Drunken Sailor, El Burro). There are also two smaller markets within 3-5 blocks (the chain 0XX0 and another small market (will good beer prices, local pasteries, and good selection of food and sundries on the shelves)...it has the blue TECATE sign (beer) on the front of it.) Bought 6 packes of Tecate for 86 pesos (remember about 17 pesos to a USD)

It would be nice if the property also had a Jacuzzi, but the LA Marinia has an arrangement with the Hotel Ganzo (across the street) for a nominal fee to use their infinity pool, infiniti jacuzzi, (which have a swim up bar) and you are given a 10-15% discount on the food and bar items up in the pool area.

The restaurant is open air, the food is great, the staff is really nice. They do move at Mexican time, so pretty slow. The location is across from the public beach, and walking distance to very good local places to eat and reasonable bodega's.

No coffee in the room. Complimentary coffee from the restaurant but no decaf. Room door is frosted glass so your room never gets dark. Some folks might not like the local nightly parties that can be heard, along with the occasional loud barking from the pack of roaming dogs (all friendly). Not much in the way of english speaking cable channels and no channel guide.

Breakfast was delicious and complimentary coffee was much appreciated! Also liked how we had a smart TV and AC was a lifesaver during the July heat. The team was very friendly and attentive to all of our needs.

The guest wifi wasn't working during our stay and I wish we had a fridge to keep our water cold. These are just nice-to-haves though. It's not far from downtown, but just far enough to where you would probably not want to take multiple trips back and forth between the hotel and downtown.

We were here for a wedding at El Ganzo. It was very convenient to attend all the events at the hotel. There is a beach club nearby. A few places walking distance for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Taxis/ubers are available to get around.

Mornings were a bit noisy with other hotel guests and staff talking outside of the room

Beautiful property, & we stayed in a pool balcony overlook room which was worth the upgrade. Quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, with a few restaurants in walking distance. Easy to park outside.

Restaurant was expensive

La Marina is an intimate and lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious, spotless and complete with fan & a/c. Location is good with beaches in walking distance (one 5 mins walk, the other 30 mins walk). Shops and restaurants nearby though the restaurant on site is excellent as well. I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you are seeking somewhere to stay outside of the resort confinement.

We enjoyed the location for a couple of nights, across from the marina and the public beach for walking. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean. The pool is small but enjoyable. The outdoor restaurant atmosphere and food were excellent!

Within walking distance to small stores, restaurants but to get to town and shopping required a car or taxi.
