I truly loved my stay here — I stayed for almost a month. I tried other places in San Cristóbal, but didn’t like them and ended up coming back. I loved the location, the spacious feel of both the rooms and the overall property, and the beautiful green grass outside. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. It felt like home, and I was honestly sad to leave. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

When I enter the room the floor wasn’t cleaned and I had to ask to clean it. It happened two times. But beyond this all was excellent.

It's a pretty place with rooms around a garden courtyard. Our room was large with a massive bed and a fireplace! There's a further set of rooms at the back. Water points around each corridor (don't use the water here!). It's a short walk from the busy Calle Guadalupe, a pedestrianised touristy street and about 10 mins from the main square and cathedral. The reception was helpful with ideas for trips.

Our room was located directly above the reception and next to the stairs so it was a bit noisy at times. Other than that it was generally quiet. There's a desultory bar/cafe at reception but it never seemed to be open. There's a restaurant for breakfast in the annex but nobody told us about it till we found it by chance. The shower screen allowed water to run out over the floor.

The hotel was gorgeous...one of the best ones I've stayed in. My room was perfectly spacious and the view astounding. The garden below was also well-manicured and very pleasant to relax in. The staff, particularly the housekeeping and maintenance staff, were genial and very accommodating. Umbrellas are provided for guests, which is very thoughtful especially during the rainy season.

The shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor; it was unavoidable because of the lack of a shower door. Additionally, the woman bartender who works on weekend nights, evidently, was terrible...seemingly not trained at all in mixing drinks, and most peculiarly was watching a soap opera at near full volume while patrons were in the bar area. I had to ask her to lower the volume because she was disturbing me. It should be said that management should be on top of such problems because this behavior from a service employee is objectionable to say the least.

We had an exceptional stay at Margarita. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had lots of hot water. Parking was great and so was breakfast. The best bit was however the recommendations given to us by the staff for afternoon coffee, pre meal glass of wine, evening meal and the Canyon Tour. All were excellent. SCDLC has a bad reputation for people becoming ill after visiting. We have not been ill and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

The room is so spacious it would be nice to have another comfy chair in it? And putting the name Margarita outside would be helpful!

Beautiful place with a very nice central location.

Every single night there were people either singing or chatting super loud til midnight or later and we could hear everything even though we were on the 1st floor. Also the walls are really not sound proof as we woke up at 5am with the sound and vibration of a phone alarm from a room next to us. The room description said it had a fan, conditioner and garden view. None of them were true, but I guess we stayed in one of the few rooms where instead of the garden view we had a wall and stairs.

The hotel was so comfortable and clean. It had big comfy beds, beautiful courtyard and very friendly staff. They made up room every day which was so good, and the shower had great pressure and consistent hot water. The location is pretty good, short around 5-10 min stroll into central and was super quiet. There was 24/7 security and reception which is great for early tours and filtered water to refill bottles. They also let us check in very early after a night bus (we arrived at around 8 am) for no extra charge which was awesome.

The staff is friendly and professional. Jimena (at the front desk) helped us arrange for a driver to Palenque so we didn't have to get up at 3am to go on a tour. Her professionalism was greatly appreciated. The hotel grounds are beautiful. The rooms spacious and linens are top notch. The location is great! It is 2 blocks from the restaurant/shopping walking street which leads you to the main square. A great place to stay in San Cristóbal. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. The rooms are big, comfortable, and well maintained, but I did have to request a heater as it was cold (which was provided immediately). The shower was also nice and hot. Nice view from my bedroom window onto the courtyard and beyond. Good breakfast. Walkable distance to all main sites.

There were a few mismiscommunications due to the language barrier (even with, or maybe because of, my Spanglish)

The room is quite spacious as well as the bathroom. The lights go through the ceiling windows of the bathroom, and there’s a window in the bathroom for ventilation. Water of the shower is strong enough as well. The room is also quite clean. It’s not the newest facility kind of hotel but really great money value.

Movable shower head and more modern safe (now with physical key) would be great.

We book transportation to the airport with the front desk, paid & confirmed, & they told us pick up would be at 2:30…. They failed to tell us we needed to catch a taxi to the bus station because it was NOT hotel pick up…. So we missed the bus & had to scramble to find a taxi and paid an extra $100 for transportation.
