Five minutes to/from the airport, yet the skies are never really that crazy with noise It has one restaurant, Ola, and it's pretty tasty. Breakfast was included for us. Enjoyed the fruit bowls, pancakes, steak and juices. They had burgers and chicken tenders available, but not on the menu, for those with kids, but my kids were happy with the tacos. Dinner was good too and they rotated the dinner menu. Try the soups!!! The rooms were spacious! Three bedrooms could easily sleep eight-plus people with the dual bunk bed setup and two king-size beds Bathrooms were well appointed. I came to appreciate the salt shower. We didn't use the plunge pool that much as the large pool was more fun to play Marco Polo in and swim. Additionally, it was close to the bar/restaurant, it was nice to have though for the occasional dip for the kids. The Beach!!! The Beach was so clean and empty and it made it very special!!! The overall environment was truly a gem! It's not all-inclusive, but that's ok. It was a lot of people who seemed to be staying there as snowbirds mixed with rotating holiday travel, so the restaurant was never too crazy with crowds. This is really meant for relaxation and spending time with your family IMO. Don't expect bottomless drinks or huge entertainment. The entertainment stemmed from just hanging poolside in a nice environment, reading a book throughout the property, working out if you choose to at the gym, and mostly, meeting people from around the world and just spending time on the beach! We saw multiple families of gray whales (mom and baby) swimming alongside dolphins. Silhouettes of dolphins on some days riding the waves. Side note, if you enjoy playing in the waves, this place is perfect! The waves were anywhere from 3-7 feet while we were there. My kids, 16, 13, 11 loved jumping in the waves, swimming, and body surfing, if you have access to a boogie board, bring it.

The only thing I could say needed improvement was maybe the pasta day, allow guests to add a protein on pasta day Other than that, didn't have any faults at Marea! If available, maybe mention on one of the welcome forms, groceries are available to be delievered to room. I am not even certain if this is an option, but I did see a bike full of groceries being brought to a unit. Someone could have went to the store and brought them and the team brought to the room. Regardless though, it'd be a cool option to have!

Super high end accommodation with ocean front view. Our one bedroom had two bathrooms with walk in showers. The balcony was spacious and included a soaking pool. The main pool was gorgeous and is right next to the outdoor restaurant.

Our only regret is the restaurant closed at 5 pm. With Mexico still practicing some of the ridiculous Covid protocols, including wearing cloth masks, it looks like they have some staffing issues. A car rental is a must to access the finer cusine in Zihuatanejo. There are no restaurants nearby.

I liked everything. The place, our room, the beach, the pool. everything was soooo quiet and soooo nice that makes me want to go back.

they should have more games to share with guests. we stayed there for one week and would have loved playing cards.

Our family of 5 ( parents and 3 children-22, 20 & 13) spent a week in a spacious 3 bedroom villa that was outstanding. Nadia reached out to me before we arrived and maintained great communication, ensuring everything was perfect. We were celebrating and they went the extra mile to make it super special! I have family that isn't that kind to us. I fell a wee bit under the weather for a day and Nadia reached out to me to check in and see if there was anything I needed. She is an angel. The more secluded nature of Playa Blanca made it the ideal place to get away and relax. We enjoyed ready access to the beach, the pools, and our own little pool. The staff could not have been more friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Our meals at the restaurant were a daily highlight! Everything we ordered was fabulous. The concierge service was eager to help us arrange side trips and activities of every kind. They arranged an excursion to Ixtapa Island that was really perfect for us. This is the place to go for peace, quiet and the continual sound of the waves. You won't be disappointed.

it was very hot, even in January, but you really can't swim in the ocean due to dangerous surf. also, the food at the restaurant was just ok

Marea beach Villas were great! There were four of us (myself, my husband, my two pre-teen daughters). We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa which was better than the pictures. The view from our room was spectacular! It was very spacious. We used the pool often (there are no hot tubs) and would go in ocean (although we were told not to as the tide was too rough). There isn’t much within walking distance so we mostly ordered from the restaurant and had few groceries delivered. The restaurant is very good. We all had in room massages which were amazing. The staff is great! If you are looking for a quiet escape then this place is incredible.

We wished the beach was swimmable since we were oceanfront. There is only one restaurant so more food options would have been great.

We loved the rural/virgin feel of the area and the property is beautiful. Don’t miss the OBSERVATORY at night it’s gorgeous
