The property has been remodeled since our last visit to include a separate restaurant area away from the bar. The addition of a Starbucks in the lobby was a boon for my wife. They really upped their breakfast game, too. Staff were friendly and accommodating as usual. We found out on the morning we checked out that the hotel offers a courtesy bus to and from the Male on between the hours of 08:30-01:00. We did that trip in Ubers so many times!

The waterless flush urinals on the first floor next to the conference rooms smelled awful and as a result the whole first floor stank.

Very convenient and close to hospital. Staff is exceptionally friendly, courteous, and helpful. Free breakfast buffet was a big bonus. Edde, the driver, was extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was clean. Great to have cappuccino available in the morning Not a bad place to sleep.

The earthquake, which was completely out of anyone's control. The bar next door is loud, but once in my room, I couldn't hear it. Bed is a little firmer than I like. A coffee maker would be nice but not necessary. AC is a little noisy, but it drowns out the extraneous sounds.

Pool and everything is close and within walking distance: - Mall (7 min), Food place (1 min, everything is 26 peso), Movie Theater (7 min, in mall), Walmart and Sam's club (5 min), More food options (10 min). The center is 15 min by buss (10 peso for buss). There is a marina close by as well. Price was decent (I don't remember what the other hotels in the areas are like). Service was great (allowed using facilities after check out and store luggage before check in time until room is ready). They let us store a bag in the fridge since there wasn't a fridge in the room.

Language barrier might make it more fun if you don't speak Spanish, but there should be one person on shift (from the front desk) who can help you out if the other didn't.

I loved the cleanliness of the room and the care that the staff took to make my stay safe, comfortable and happy. The 'free' breakfast consisted of fruit, lettuce and tomato, and sliced meat, with fruit juice, coffee, dry cereal and a few pastries. Everything was clean and fresh and kept full. This was a great time, for me, to meet new people and plan the day. I found the little 'bar' at the end of the entrance to the hotel, another great way to meet people and have an affordable drink or snack. Unfortunately, there are no restaurant options nearby. It would be wonderful if the hotel opened their own restaurant for limited dinner options...as the 'bar' gets extremely noisy after 6 pm. I enjoyed the hotel; loved the people, and was grateful to have such a great place to call home for a couple of weeks. :)

I didn't like the huge price increase, for a room, for the last day of my stay. I had to book for an extra night and the price had doubled. I also would have liked to have a restaurant option for dinner, or after dark. Being a single person in PV for the first time, I didn't feel safe going any distance from the hotel, after dark. Taxis are quite expensive! I also didn't like many of the increased prices for restaurants, hotels, taxis, food, liquor, etc. While I understand the need to increase prices to cover losses from the Covid time period...I found that the prices were more than I could comfortably afford, in many cases. Buses were a great travel option!

The property was really nice & super cozy! Location was great!! Walking distance to everything! The view from our room was, amazing!!! Beds were cozy, room was clean, shower was nice! The complimentary breakfast was good! There’s a Starbucks in the lobby, also! Staff was great, overall a great stay!!! Would definitely recommend!!

Breakfast was fine....fruit and croissant is what I chose. Staff was very friendly and attentive. It's a short walk to the beach and it was a beautiful sunset. Less busy than Puerto Vallarta melicon area. Once the construction is finished it's going to be beautiful. They have so many construction workers there that it's going to be done soon hopefully.

It is under construction, but there wasn't any noise on the 7th floor. WiFi was slow but ok.

Close to shopping and on main street. We found a great place nearby to have our laundry done. We liked the pool and variety of seating around it. Good fruit selection in the Buffet. Liked the 1:00 check out instead of the usual 11:00.

There was a lack of supplies in the buffet breakfast. Mugs were suppose to be found on the table but they hadn't been replaced from the previous table users. The Coffee and cutlery was being used quicker than they were able to replace. The choice of cereal for adults was limited.- lots of sugary cereals.

Good location and value for money in general

Poor service. It seems City Express has changed the breakfast options. Even if you take an “a la carte” paid option is really poor. They don’t have plain filtered water, they run out of coffee cups.. nobody in the kitchen is taking care of things like that… The food taste is very bad.. go for breakfast somewhere else…!

The staff were all wonderful, very attentive from reception, breakfast to housekeeping. My room was cleaned everyday, except the final day. The pool area was nice.

The wifi worked perfectly for whatsapp, emails, and social media. However, it is not strong enough for video calls or for working. It was particularly weak in the evenings when I couldn't even open a document.
