Location, kids activities. We have been home 2 days and we already miss Crown Paradise Club. We have been luxury vacations before and this was different but in some ways different in a good way. Sure the rooms could use some updating but the beds were comfortable and the fridge was stocked, they provided a heavier blanket and fixed the phone very quickly when asked. We never had a problem with house keeping. We could see and hear they were updated the rooms in our hall so it's going to get better. The buffet was hit and miss, as most buffets are, but we ALWAYS, found something we liked at the buffet. The omlette station was great, there's a line but it goes fast and the workers are great! You had to be on top of making reservations for the more fancy restaurants but I was able to get a reservation both nights I wanted to. The salads at both the French and Italian restaurants were delicious, along with my salmon at the French. I ordered a bottle of wine which totally hit the spot, it was extra $ but very reasonable. Our 8 year old daughter LOVED the fries at all the snacks bars. She probably ate fries 5 times a day, lol. She has a hard time gaining weight so it was nice to see her eat so much in general. We ordered a lot of michaladas from the bar and I drank wine, seems the drinks were not super strong, which was actually perfect to be mellow all day with our daughter. A lot of staff knew very little English and we know very little Spanish, so it felt weird at first, but by working together we learned to understand each other and our needs were always met. My daughter absolutely loved Jhonny at the college bar, she ran up to him every night and gave him a hug. He makes awesome balloon animals. He is a treasure so kind and funny. The karaoke at the college bar was cool to see, it was all in Spanish and it made us feel more immersed in Mexican culture , and it gave our daughter a great story to tell her Spanish teacher at her school here in idaho.

Rooms could be updated,

We had a very lovely room near the beach and no complaints on the room. The beach area is good and we could always find chairs. Awesome kid pool that my daughter did not want to leave even when she got cold. There was a spot to blow up inflatables too. Another pool had a side that’s shallow and perfect for small kids. There is a main pool and adult area too. The staff was friendly and helped us several times. If you arrive early, they let you enjoy the facilities until room is ready. There is room service for a small extra charge.

The water was warm, but not hot in the showers. No coffee bar, but there was a coffee shop close by we walked to.

We really liked the amenities, our kids had so much fun. The babies club was great for our little one, he loved it there. All of the staff throughout the resort were so friendly and helpful. The location was also great, very easy to get a taxi to/from anywhere, and not too far of a ride to the airport. Also, they put on an excellent New Years Eve party and feast. The rooms and the overall facility aren't the newest and shiniest, but you can see that it's kept very clean and that they are making improvements. If your looking for high class fancy resort this might not be the place for you, but if you're looking for a fun family resort with excellent staff then this place is great :)

The buffet options were very good plenty to choose from. 3?fine restaurants with French, Japanese & Italian food. You will need to make reservations at 9am and be fast they get booked within in 5 minutes.

Building is old will be needing a restoration very soon to update. The jacuzzi had bubble heat pump broken for couple of were toll by a maintenance staff??

The staff are so nice. They really go out of their way to be helpful and friendly and get to know you. We love the infinity pool and the activities and the evening shows. The food is good and plentiful!

Sometimes some of the areas around the pool can get a little messy. The beach has some trash. But overall, the facilities are nice.

We loved the kids area. It was really nice for the kids, they even have a zip line that my Daughter was really surprised to find in here and they let her use it twice, you have to sign a waiver though. The breakfast was really delicious! They have different Mexican food to enjoy. The view was great! Our room faced the kids area and behind we even were able to see the ocean, we were on the fourth floor that faced the front Beach. Their staff was excellent!! The front desk explained everything, hours and all the activities that they have for the kids. My daughter enjoyed the show at night, it was Saturday. Walking distance to the beach, and they have a bar there. The room was very clean, the furniture, had some wears and treas but nothing that bothered us. We definitely will come back!

As other reviews mentioned, the food at dinner time was not good.. the majority of the food was not tasty, and the options were basically the same but with different presentations. They have a section for the kids and my daughter even noticed that the food was not good. She didn't like the pizza that never fails, but this time it did. Different story on the breakfast though!

Easy access to the beach and within walking distance you have, mall and shopping center (Walmart, Sam club). Additionally you can take the bus to the Malecón and fleet market “Mercado municipal”

I had my two children with me and there was always something for them to do, also the food on offer was great for all of us

Checking in was pretty bad, We were in a lineup for almost 2 hours and the heat was so bad my son started feeling very unwell. Once we got to check in the staff explained the problem’s clearly

We were on the ocean with two pools and many cabanas and lounge chairs. Easy access. Within walking distance to docks for boat excursions.

It was 20-25 minutes by car to downtown.
