We have been coming to PV for years and have stayed at the Porto Allegro many times. As always they do not dissapoint. Rooms are comfortable and clean, they are equipped with hair dryers, coffee machine and mini fridges, a small microwave would be a welcome addition. Beds and pillows are amazingly comfortable. The breakfast, which is included, is excellent and made to order by Monica and the rest of the rooftop kitchen staff who are all AMAZING. All of the staff are FANTASTIC, polite, respectful, welcoming and always willing to help. As always it was a fabulous stay. We also discovered that they are pet friendly as there were couples with their little doggies and it made us so happy. 😍

This attractive hotel is located in the historical part of the city, in a very safe area about two blocks from the Malecón and the beautiful church of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It is the perfect base to explore the craft shops, boutiques, art galleries, and bistros nearby; the craft market and restaurants along the Isla Cuale river are within a 10 minute walk. The gay-friendly Zona Romántica, with its many restaurants and clubs, is another 5-10 minute walk. The Choco Museo, where you can take a class on how to make your very own chocolate bonbons to take home, is on the Malecón, only a short taxi ride away. The hotel has an elevator and you can enjoy breakfast on the roof while enjoying the breeze and the view. There is a pool on the roof with several chaise long upon which to relax. The breakfast menu includes a wide variety of offerings such as fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, etc., juices and coffee. The rooms are immaculate, the beds and pillows are new and comfortable, and all have an efficient air conditioner and ceiling fan; small refrigerator with two bottles of fresh water provided daily; also a television with channels from all over the planet; good WIFI signal even upstairs on the far side of the building. The lobby has two desktop computers so you can send an email or print your boarding pass at the front desk. There is an exercise room on the lobby level. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. If you need a taxi or suggestions on what to see or where to eat, the desk staff know the town very well. The breakfast is delicious and hearty. The location cannot be beat. Our room was an end room facing the church. We could hear the bells daily but you get used to it. Plus, who doesn't mind church bells? The staff is wonderful and very accommodating! We stayed 10 days as we were visiting our doctors. Smooth and comfortable experience. Easy walking or driving to everywhere we needed to go.

For my taste, the pillows are too plush. But, I feel really weird complaining about a plush pillow! We joked that they were made for Shaquille O'Neal. They were quite nice just really thick & plush.

The hotel is in walking distance of the Malecon. It’s not a fancy hotel but it’s clean and comfortable. The staff are really nice and the rooms are newly renovated with new furniture, floors, showers, bathroom sink, shower, and flooring in shower is newly renovated. They include a buffet breakfast cooked to order. Nice touch.

The bathroom does not have an exhaust fan. We opened the window when we took showers to let out the steam. Other than that it’s a nice hotel for the price.

I had a wonderful experience here. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. The bed was so comfortable. I’d love to have one just like it at home. The location was perfect, close to all the tourist spots, yet peaceful and quiet. The included breakfast was absolutely delicious. I’ll always remember the amazing hospitality. Highly recommended!

The elevator is so small but it did the job.

hot breakfast is on the roof deck - made fresh everyday - there is a menu with multiple selections Our room maid forgot coffee to bring coffee at least two of the days (you can make coffee in the room) when the supplies are there. There is also a small refrigerator in the room.

The location is absolutely excellent. Just a few blocks on the beach. A few blocks from the basilica. And a few blocks is zona romantica. Plus the hotel is really clean. They treat you well and everything works perfectly. The breakfast is unbelievably good. You go to the rooftop patio and they serve you.

As you know it's in central so it's really small and narrow streets and old buildings. And the gym is absolutely a joke. There is no gym, it's just a small room with a few pieces of equipment that are old. That little room which they call a gym has been abandoned for years.

Staff & location were great. Staff was friendly and helpful. They were willing to keep an eye on my rented motorcycle. The location next to the Romantic zone and Cuale island were ideal to be close to all the action. We were very happy with both.

We tried Breakfast one time and everything about it was terrible, so we did other things the other days - didn't give it a second chance. The shower head was pretty badly calcified and needed to be replaced or properly cleaned in vinegar.

Breakfast and the setting for breakfast was lovely. Staff were sweet and really you could have anything you wanted. The nice fresh coffee package that you could have each day in your room was very nice.

The hot tub and little sun lounge area weren’t very appealing. Could have used some plants.

The room was in a great location.. walking distance to all major sites, the cathedral, the malecón and right in the middle of the rio cuale marketplace. The breakfast was good and the staff were always smiling and helpful. Happy it had an elevator. Great view from the roof

It can get a bit loud at night and there was a bright street light right outside the room. Bring an eye mask cover.
