I thought it would be in chetumal, but it was right after the boarder in the middle of nowhere, no restaurant, no atm close by and I was almost starving for dinner. Not the hotels fault, more fault of booking.com

I had a different room than what Booking had shown me, but the staff resolved that and were friendly. The pool and garden are very nice and the breakfast is good as well. In the room nothing special, but it was fine and the airco worked well. In close vicinity are some stands to get streetfood and there's also a supermarket close by.

The setup is around the pool and if you're not lucky with other travellers, it can be noisy. The view of the lagoon is nice but it's not as nice as I expected it to be. Location is far away from town, you need a taxi.

I love the layout of the whole place, the lagoon, the room we had, had a private patio, breakfast was nice, staff was friendly but didn’t speak any English, their parrot was cute, their dog was very nice, their pool was clean and welcoming, the environment felt very safe, cozy, and relaxing. I want to model my house to be like this place.

We had no toilet seat in our bathroom, and our kids had no shampoo in their bathroom, between the two of us we had what we needed.

We had a great stay at the Hotel Lagoon. The hotel is really beautiful and private with a nice swimming pool. It also faces a lagoon that's really nice to look at. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. It's also conveniently close to the Belizean border.

The room we had was really nice, but the air conditioning was a bit noisy. It rattled a bit.

The WiFi didn't reach all the way to our room and the lagoon view is nothing special so next time I would get a room closer to the reception to have better WiFi

We wait too much for breakfast , there wasn’t many people waiting and they took to much to bring breakfast , but was delicious or maybe we was very hungry. That’s the only thing we don’t like us other than that everything was good.

Great location. Very Clean. I was given room #10 overlooking the Lagoon which gave this room a lot of light. Very friendly helpful staff. The dogs are gorgeous. Breakfast was lots of sliced bread and a toaster provided with Jam and Peanut butter options. Then I had 2 egg omelette which was really nice. Coffee was good and there was hot water and different teas freely available. A short walk to get some great local food. Close to the Border Frontier for a taxi run. Plenty of hot water and reasonable water pressure. Internet worked well. Well worth a day or two stopover. No stairs / All at ground level.

The friendliness after a very stressfull mexico roadtrip gave us a perfect jump off spot to go into belize... the dogs that came to greet us were adorable and our dog got along with them well

I like the quiet area and the lake view.

I guess maybe since we were the only group of 4 that visited, the pool wasn't on so it couldn't filter. Basically the Pool could be cleaner.
