Tucked away on the serene shores of Holbox Island, Casa Las Tortugas is the perfect escape for those seeking relaxation and charm. The beachfront location offers stunning ocean views and easy access to the town’s laid-back vibe. We raved about the food – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making every meal a highlight. The friendly and attentive staff make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. With its bohemian decor and peaceful ambiance, the hotel exudes a chilled atmosphere that invites you to unwind and truly disconnect.

Nothing really, maybe a service button on sun loungers? On their private beach some of the loungers are located far from the bar. So can be slow sometimes to get a waiters attention. Not the biggest problem as drinks were worth the wait!!

This boutique hotel is the perfect combination of staff, atmosphere, location, hotel infrastructure and service. In a very central location with easy access to the island centre but with direct access to the beach and sea without any road crossing and carts passing by. The hotel is beautifully styled with eye for detail and a pleasant size without getting too crowded. Moreover the choice of restaurants is great as is the quality of the food and beverages offered.

There is nothing not to like. Not sure what the negative comments on loud music in the area refer too. There was no such thing during any of our several nights there. It’s all positive at this boutique resort

I recently stayed at Casa Las Tortugas and had a wonderful experience. I stayed for 10 days, first in the Ocean front suite that is two stories and has two balconies , then I stayed in a junior suite deluxe. The property is absolutely gorgeous, with a laid-back atmosphere and located just steps from the beach. Very well maintained. The rooms were clean, cozy, offering everything needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring every need was met. The on-site restaurants served delicious food, with fresh local ingredients and plenty of variety. Breakfast that’s included isn’t some continental set up…it’s a multi course meal and so delicious! The cocktails at Luuma are phenomenal. Blanca, the resident feline patrols the halls at night. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and genuinely care about their guests and the property. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and connect with nature.

Not a dang thing

It’s gorgeous. The vibes are 10/10. There’s a beautiful area where you can do yoga in the morning, the beach access is better than any other spot on the island (no seaweed or shells compared to other areas), and the structure itself is gorgeous. You feel like you’re in a romantic spot with trees overhead but you still get to enjoy the creature comforts of hot water, AC, and indoor private bathroom.

Nothing. It was honestly perfect and I would say after touring around the island and staying a few other spots, this is probably one of the best places to stay (caveat: if you’re adults only - if you have small kids under 12, I’d look next door at Mawimbi or at other spots right in the area).

Perfect location - right on the beach and super close to town, yet just far enough away that you couldn’t hear the loud music from other bars. Staff were friendly and attentive, with excellent service throughout our stay. The sun loungers were really comfortable with a good mix of ones in shade and ones in the sun. Our room was gorgeous with a very effective fan and AC so we always slept well.

That we had to leave! The shower took a few minutes to heat up so just give it time, the water was a pleasant temperature so worth the wait.

Everything was fantastic and went beyond our expectations. From the design of the hotel, to the comfort of the room and shared facilities, this place is designed to let you unwind and disconnect from the world. Staff was super friendly, breakfast was generous and super tasty, locations is perfect - being located just next to the town center but away from the noise. And the food… my god! their restaurant Luuma is on another level, we had some of the best food of our lives there. This place is paradise, I wish I could go back!

we loved our stay. The place on the island was perfect, the rooms were super clean and beautiful, the swimming pool was amazing. we found the food/ drinks in the hotel a little bit too expensive.

the waiters on the beach didn’t once ask if we would like a drink during our stay. Seemed like they were always busy with the people they knew. We were laying next to couples that were always asked if they would like something…. Just a tip: pay attention to everyone on the beach, not only the guest you “know”.

This hotel is EXCELLENT. It is right on the edge of town so is such a great location, it has a beautiful beach area, the staff are so friendly and very attentive, the rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. I don’t have one complaint - we loved it so much we went back there. If you’re going to Holbox you have to stay in this hotel.

Nothing - it was brilliant.

I loved the beachfront location of this hotel. I walked the beach from end to end on the island and this hotel truly has the best beach. Very little seaweed and well maintained. Also, their beach club is excellent! Comfortable beach beds, nice service, and they do not rent the beds to the public so the guest always have a place on the beach. The hotel has three good restaurants, and it's super close to town. You can walk to many cafes and restaurants in town within 5 mins! The hotel also has very pretty pool.

The room needs a few more amenities like a hair dryer, iron or steamer, cushions for the chairs on the balcony. You can hair loud house music from the beach club next door, but there is nothing they can do about that. Still loved it!

Our stay was wonderful - the property is very well maintained and beautiful. Rooms are also beautiful. Breakfast was amazing - great choices and very tasty. The restaurant also had amazing food. All the staff were amazing, and took great care of us. Also enjoyed the daily yoga class with an amazing teacher. Location is great - just steps away from other little shops and restaurants. Holbox is a magical little island, and this hotel made our stay even better :-) thank you!
