The apartment was well appointed and clean. We liked the location and the proximity to the beach and 5th avenue. The kitchen had good appliances. The roof top pool was enjoyable to lounge around. I liked that the unit had 2 separate washrooms and 3 TVs. Huilberto at the front desk was very helpful with any requests we had.

There wasn't enough water pressure for the toilet and bathroom occasionally and the hot water took a long time to flow.

The location is excelent and the rooms are quite large with an external area. The bed was comfortable.

The rooms smell mold, some of the rooms in the location don't have enough hot water in the shower, the towels are provided once during the stay and they don't get dry naturally in the room due to high humidity. There was a coffee machine and some pans, but no coffee, sugar, salt or oil in the apartment. The location is neither an Airbnb where you have certain items in the facilities for basic cooking, nor the service of a hotel. The pillows are too high. Some lights were not working in our room.

The location was definitely good because it was close to almost all the store where car where'n able to go so you add time to actually walk no stress and buy everything you need. The kitchen was full furnished because we like to cook ours own food sometimes. I lime the inside parking so we know the rented car was safe. The balcony for the apartment didn't hâve view but we had access to the roof that had a beautiful pool and place to relax bathroom and even bbq for people that wanted to use it.

For the inside parking every time we arrived at the hotel someone actually asked to go inside to tell them to remote open the game for the parking before going inside and same for going outside.

The location was great - easy walk to beaches or, the other way, to center of action. It's a block off of Avenida 5 (the pedestrian avenue that stretches through the city and is lined with various shops and restaurants), but far enough from the center that it is mostly quiet at night. The various people at the front desk were so great: always available, friendly and helpful.

The room is a bit dark due to a building being built right next to it. Also, the shower temperature slowly warmed up, cooled down, warmed up again - all while handle was on hot.

This place is great. We stayed at a 2Bd apartment, the on with balconies. It was really nice and big. The rooms were large and separated enough to have your own privacy. The location is about a block away from the beg of 5th ave! You can choose to walk all the way to the center it’s no issue and actually really nice since there’s a lot of restaurants everywhere.

The pool is small so it could be easier for them to keep it clean, it wasn’t dirty dirty but at the bottom there were some drowned insect’s that didn’t make you feel comfortable. A daily clean would come in handy. The sliding doors didn’t lock, the security guy said it’s been that way but that they would be there 24/7, it was kinda scary at night but then got used to it. Hope they fix it soon since that was the reason I didn’t give the highest rating. Overall everything was great.

Very comfortable and spacious apartment at a good price. There is always someone at the front desk to check-in or help with issues. A free laundry room and a gym in the lobby were a very nice surprise. The pool and grill section on the roof were also a very nice feature. The view from the roof was great. There was underground parking for the guests.

There is no view outside the window (there is wall 0,3 m from the edge of the balcony and another buliding and apartment window 1,5 m from the bedroom window)

The Mayan Monk suites had the most perfect location! Close to all the action on 5th, walking distance to everything, especially if you dont mind walking a few blocks. The bonus was the late night tacos around the corner from the hotel! The staff were all fantastic, there was always someone at the front desk to greet you, answer any questions or to call you a taxi! Oh my goodness, the beds were so comfortable too! It definitely made it hard to get out of bed in the morning! The balcony was also such a great incentive! This location was simply wonderful & I will never stay anywhere else while in Playa!

The water pressure isn't the strongest in the master shower & it takes a while to warm up, also the lighting was very dim in the bathroom which makes it hard to do makeup, shave etc.

The gentleman at reception was great. He helped me navigate the laundry facility and also carried my luggage to the taxi when I left. The location is also great, it is within walking distance of many restaurants and stores as well as very close to the beach. Everything was clean and comfortable in the room and the wifi was good. It was also generally very quiet at night.

The lighting was really dim. I stayed on the first floor and there was not much natural light coming into the room. I didn't spend any time in the outside porch/balcony area because it smelled of mold out there. But it didn't really matter because I spent most of my time outside the room, exploring the town and spending time at the beach.

The host/concierge was super friendly. He didn't speak any English but was very patient as I fumbled with google translate. Great value for the money. Better location that I was anticipating. A lot of the google street-view imagery is out of date so I was a bit aprehensive before I arrrived. The hotel is right by the famous Quinta Avenida, but in a less busy but still pedestrian only part of it, which is perfect for me. There is public beach access like 10 min walk away on Calle 38 and also a lot of cute bars and restaurants shaded by jungle canopy. I didn't bother with the breakfast package based on reviews and I'm glad I didn't because there's a fantastic breakfast spot right around the corner (Que Huevos).

Internet was terrible. I could connect to wifi but couldn't get online. My phone showed no internet most of the time.

Beautiful minimalistic design, very clean suites and quiet location far from the night party noises, so you are waking up with the birds singing in the morning. Kitchen is well equiped. They have a cozy pool area on the roof with sunbeds and 2 bbqs. The pool had seaview

The parking wasn't available even though we asked for it in advance and that was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. "Continental breakfast" was explained as breakfast once per 3 days and included some cokies, water and some other drinks. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, the cleaning service never came in.
