We have explored nearly every part of Mazatlan, but wanted to spend more time on the amazing beach of Stone Island, not just a day trip from Centro. Las Villas was our favourite place on the entire coast from Guaymas to Puerto Vallarta over 3 months of travel. We would stay longer if we could, but it was booked due to Semana Santa. The feel of a small boutique hotel with a nearly deserted sandy beach was amazing. We had a ground floor ocean view room, and loved the sound of the surf all night.

The room was nice and comfortable with a great view. It was equipped with everything that you need to have a nice and comfortable stay. The staff was very nice and helpful with everything. The restaurant in the hotel is nice and serves a variety of different cuisines depending on the day. The first day they were serving Asian and the second day they were serving Italian. The food and drinks were excellent. Also, there is a nice restaurant at the Golf Course Club House with great food as well ( Restaurant La Paloma). The area was nice and quiet away for the upbeat area of Mazatlán, but there is a small market on the premises to take care of your basic needs. The location is roughly 40 minutes from the Malecon by car, but if you wish to take a river taxi and uber you can get there in about 20 minutes. The area has a lot of bugs so pack bug spray.

The hotel didn't offer ice, but the room was equipped with a mini refrigerator. There area has a lot of bugs and I was bitten a lot. Bug spray would have helped if I remembered to bring some lol

Nice oceanfront view with private balcony. We were only passing through for the night so it was great to bypass the congestion of Mazatlan. Good for golfers, views, solitude. Not good if you are new to Mazatlan because you won’t see the city. also very nice traveling with our dog. Beach and grassy areas right out front.

The resort is beautiful with a nice pool away from city and crowds of the Golden Zone of Mazatlan. This does make it more isolated for activities though...depends on what you are looking for.

The food was just so so. Nothing special. The cheeseburger was a frozen patty that was lack luster! The margarita and Paloma were made with Fresca! Not what we were expecting!

Beautiful water front view and beach not overly crowded bought 4 extra days loved it so much restaurants were great and delicious food if you like good weather and walking the beaches I highly recommend this place 🇨🇦👍

We were ready for a comfortable and quite resort experience after coming from a busy urban area in Puerto Vallarta. The food was good. Staff was very friendly.

The location is pretty isolated from any town or other restaraunts, shops, etc..

All the staff were great always ready to help, including Jose Luis. Jose Luis can make a good cappuccino, and even when the restaurant wasn't opened, he took the time to serve us.

The staff was wonderful. I learned everyone's name and they knew mine. Every day someonevwould greet me with my Spanish nickname, Evita.

Most of the photos you show on your site are of Estrella del Mar, not of Las Villas, which is where I was staying. That disappointed me.
