I had a fantastic stay at The Blue Sky Hotel and Tower! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast spread was absolutely delicious with a wide variety of options, a perfect start to the day. I especially appreciated the fresh ingredients and the attentive service in the dining area.

This place was awesome, seriously! I loved the location, it was so close to everything we wanted to see. Getting around was super easy, which was a huge plus. Honestly, I can't think of a single thing I didn't like. The whole experience was just great. It was the perfect spot for our trip. My stay at Blue sky was absolutely wonderful, and a big part of that was thanks to the incredible staff — especially the front office and housekeeping teams. From the moment i arrived, the reception staff made me feel genuinely welcome. They were not only professional and efficient but also warm, attentive, and always ready with a smile. Check-in was smooth and quick, and throughout my stay, they were happy to assist with everything from local recommendations to last-minute changes in my itinerary. Their hospitality made a real difference and set the tone for a perfect experience.

A huge shoutout as well to the housekeeping team — the room was always spotless, fresh, and well-organized. Every detail, from the neatly folded towels to the daily restocking of essentials, was handled with care and consistency. It was clear they take great pride in their work, and it truly showed. An expensive option in the city centre. Considering early morning arrival into the city was at 05:30, most visitors would require an early morning book in after travelling over night. The early morning book in rate was half the full day rate. But it was a comfortable and clean hotel in the centre of the city

With the exception of one receptionist all other staff were very helpful. One receptionist seemed to be helpful in agreeing to book a taxi for the evening and a taxi for the following morning to the airport. But in fact didn’t book either, looked confused when questioned regarding the booking, then replied saying she had forgot. This could have been a massive problem if we just relied on the morning booking. But fortunately with the evening taxi not being booked, obviously concerned we did get the other receptionist to make a booking.

For our last couple nights in ulaanbaatar, we decided to stay at a nicer hotel. While we did enjoy the blue sky hotel, we probably could’ve save some money and had nicer accommodations at one of the newer hotels. We enjoyed our stay, but the room was a little bit old, but we didn’t really mind. The staff are super friendly and were very attentive even though language was a challenge.

Other than the rooms age, the only negative for us was when we tried to use the lounge on the top floor. It was super hot and noisy and there were very few staff to help us. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant outside the hotel. I also found the breakfast a bit disappointing. And the closing time was very strict. I would extend the time in a little bit.

The location was unbeatable, right in front of Sukhbaatar Square. The room was really comfortable and had a big restroom. Amenities like gym and conference room were a really nice addition.

Reception staff was a little strange, neither friendly nor unfriendly. Couldn't turn AC to cold because we were told by reception staff the central heating had just been turned on and made the AC air come out hot. Windows were a little dirty and full of limestone from what I assume was the rain.

Had an awesome experience here and apart from our very special room with a 270degrees view their food from the Korean restaurant in the hotel was to die for . It exceeded all our expectations . Stayed there for one night only but definitely want to stay again .

The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast has a nice mix of local and international cuisine, including sea buckthorn juices. The rooftop restaurant is open for long hours (until 2am), with quality food – had the Caesar salad multiple times.

A bit tricky to adjust the air conditioning in the room and wish it were possible to boost the brightness of the lights in the room a bit more.
