If you're looking for a peaceful retreat without the hustle of crowds, traffic, or noise, Forte Rose is the perfect place for you. This hidden gem on the Montenegrin coast offers beautifully preserved architecture, lush greenery, and even century-old trees surrounding the area, creating a truly unique and tranquil atmosphere. The village Rose, itself has just a few houses, and while the road to get here can be a bit challenging and long, it's absolutely worth it once you arrive. The staff makes you feel like home, remembering your name and preferences from the moment you arrive. Even at the start of the season when the hotel was quiet, the service was impeccable. Special shoutouts to Victoria and Dušan at the reception, waiters as well as Milan at the beach for their wonderful hospitality. The hotel offers multiple beach options: a tiny sandy beach just below the restaurant that feels almost private, a built-in area in the sea with sun beds, and a larger beach with a beach bar just a short walk away. Although the larger beach wasn’t fully open during our stay, the smaller beach was absolutely amazing. Overall, if you’re seeking a breathtaking, restful experience with the option to explore nearby towns, Forte Rose is the place to be. We’ll definitely be coming back!"

A couple of minor downsides: there aren’t any sun beds by the pool, which would make a big difference, and in the restaurant, you can only order a bottle of wine rather than just a glass, which might not be ideal for everyone.

Staff was amazing, very polite, professional and I felt welcomed! Both beaches are really nice and if you are looking for a bit of piece and quiet this is ideal place.

No fridge in the room - a small was would be just perfect for cold water or other beverages. Also while you are guest at Forte Rose you are paying full price for the sun-beds and umbrella. Full price of 40€ is really expensive and if they do not want to give them for free some discount would be great!

Incredible location in a beautiful setting and great fishing village. We loved the beach, walking into the village and had a great day trip to Herceg Novi using the cheap local water taxi.

Restaurant was over-priced and the food was not great quality. They also did not sell wine by the glass, which was very strange. Breakfast was a great food selection but only one hot drink was included and additional ones were charged extra. They are a high end hotel and we’ve never experienced that before at breakfast. They also charged for use of sun loungers on one of the hotel beaches. We could understand that more but again it just did not fit with the high end experience they seem to want to market.

We stayed at the resort for three nights and we didn't want to leave the hotel. Everything was excellent! The place is so pastoral and beautiful. Breakfast at the hotel restarurant on the backgtound of the sea was extraordinary. The swimming pool is open all day long! I want to thank everyone at the hotel - Dušan, Giorgi, Buena and all the hotel staff - for their goodness and desire to help me make the perfect marriage proposal! The price worths every Euro. My fiance and I will definitely recommend people to stay at Forte Rose Resort when they travel in Montenegro, and hope to come and visit again some day in the future.

I loved everything about this place, the spacious rooms, balconies, beautiful sea view, the beach, the outdoor restaurant over looking the sea, the greenery and the staff were so helpful and kind.

I wished they had an all inclusive option for food, it saves you money.

Amazing hotel, where you can feel history and enjoy in the beautiful view (landscape and sea), stone villas and amazing food in hotel restaurant. Our apartment was great in the front raw just above the crystal clear sea. Manager Dusan was very proactive and he made sure that everything during our stay went smooth. Few minutes from the hotel is very nice beach with white small rocks where we enjoyed with our kids.

Excellent experience. The place was incredibly peaceful and beautiful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the service was outstanding. Breakfasts were delicious. The hotel’s decor was lovely, featuring an abundance of plants that added to the serene atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a tranquil and enjoyable stay by the sea.

The hotel’s restaurant was overpriced. While the food was really good, the high prices were not justified.

The staff is truly wonderful and friendly. They are available to help you at any moment. I'm sorry we didn't remember the names of the receptionist and the housekeeper. Really, all praise for the staff.

The breakfast was not as described, but more of a "little bit of everything." Which is fine, but then there's no need for a menu with completely different items. The pool is already out of use, even though the website states it’s available until October 15th.

We loved the quiet location, the sea and the beach/patio area. The sea was crystal clear and I prefer a concrete beach over sand every time. If we wanted do do a little more then there was a regular taxi boat across to Hercig Novi & back several times a day. The bed was super comfortable and the sheets and towels were changed most if not every day. The resort was kept spotless - the ladies worked super hard. Breakfast was plentiful, albeit never quite what we ordered. The Forte Rose House wine was divine.

Service was always interesting, the waiters all spoke some English, but nothing was ever written down, so we never got quite what we asked for, if at all. There were a lot of staff, all working 12+ hours 7 days per week. We asked to change our initial room (room 12) as it overlooked the back of the kitchen, so we got the exhaust from the extractor if we opened the patio door or tried to sit on the balcony, the receptionist did manage to find another room after a couple of days and our 2nd room (number 6) was so much better.

Rose is a small village situated on Lustica peninsula right across Herceg Novi. A perfect choice for those who are looking for a quite, peaceful place, far from a summer crowd, noisy clubs. Rose has two restaurants, one retail shop (market) and that's it. Forte Rose offers everything you could want for a pleasant and peaceful holiday. Excellent location, beautiful surrounding, very friendly and professional staff, clean and excellent maintained premises, abundant and delicious breakfast, sunbeds and umbrellas at the front beach provided for hotel guests, no additional charge.
