The baberrih hotel (meaning ‘door to the wind’) is truly an exceptionally beautiful property about 20 minutes drive from Essaouira. It’s tucked in the middle of a stunning beach, with views of the mountains, and empty fields surrounding. The food is grown organically on their property (with lovely chickens and goats to visit if you wish!). The rooms are each small individual buildings that are laid out nicely with a seating area, private outdoor patio, and a very comfortable bed. The tvs are equipped with streaming services so you can watch whatever you like if you wish, and the WiFi is very solid during the day. There’s a beautiful infinity pool, as well as a very spacious, clean yoga studio with views of the ocean. The best part of the hotel is direct access to Hossain’s absolutely magnificent horses. You can see their beautiful stables built adjacent to the hotel grounds, and see what a charmed life they live. Hossain is an exceptional equestrian who has trained his horses with love and natural horsemanship. He is able to accommodate all levels of riders (I’ve seen small children) as well as creating absolutely fantastic advanced rides for experienced riders. With direct access to an almost completely empty beach, riding Hossain’s beautiful stallions is the perfect cherry on top of a lovely, relaxing vacation.

WiFi in the evenings could be a bit spotty, and there is no climatisation in the rooms (however I found I didn’t need any as the climate is very temperate)

The property is brand new, beautifully decorated and immaculately maintained. The staff is very friendly, and there are plenty of things to do for entertainment. We went on a walk along the dunes, and for a horseback ride. The horses at the property are so beautiful and well taken care of, it was a pleasure to see. The food at the restaurant is also exceptional, make sure you try the octopus salad, it's to die for. The owners of the hotel are very friendly, and really considerate of the environment so everything is built an revolves around being gentle on the earth - from the materials used, to the way the property is run. Highly recommended and we can't wait to come back!

What a wonderful place. So peaceful. Staff were wonderful and the food delicious with a fantastic breakfast buffet. My only comment would be that if you are staying for more than 3 days the menu feels repetitive if you are having lunch and dinner at the hotel. It would be great if there were specials or a buffet for lunch, making it easier to have a light bite at that time. It’s a 20min drive into Essaouira which was easy to get to by taxi and worth visiting. Loved our stay here and would highly recommend!

Gorgeous! Absolutely amazing resort. I felt like in Eden: calm, quiet, beautiful, amazing food (at reasonable price), yoga/workout room available, every detail of the resort was thoroughly selected, if u need to escape stress of daily life & fully emerge yourself, this is the place. Location is pretty secluded (middle of nowhere) which only helps to disconnect, but is needed to keep it in mind if that is not what u r looking for. Few activities were available (windsurf, horse riding…), pool towels provided. Also there are turtles walking around! 🤍

I would suggest to make it ‘adults only resort’ as kids running around the pool is literally the only thing that might piss u off during your stay. Also would be nice to offer shuttle/shared tours to Essaouira for the guests

The location was quiet and on the beach, the food was fabulous, the staff welcoming and hospitable. The rooms were a delight, comfortable beds, showers and bathrooms spacious. We loved the wild tortoise in the garden. It was atmospheric to have the fire pits and flaming torches around the pool area. The music was just right for the vibe.

Nothing. We loved this place and can't wait to return. It would be lovely to have seating on the roof is all I can think of to improve our experience.

Great secluded location of the hotel, beautiful design, very green surroundings — perfect for a peaceful family vacation with children. For adults, there’s a kite school and a spot suitable for intermediate-level riders (a bit wild).

A small detail that’s easy to fix — near the entrance to the restaurant, on the path from the villas, there’s a slight slope (instead of a step) that’s quite slippery. It’s important to make that surface non-slip, especially after using the pool.

This haven of peace and tranquility has been created with such love and attention. The gardens are incredible, soft lush grass and thick bushes of well tended herbs. Some of the crafted bushes actually have an unusual and very tasting and healthy fruit you can pluck and eat. The rooms are within beautifully constructed villa's each with it's own terrace and an additional roof terrace. The pool is large and very clean. The water comes from a private well and tastes great. The food is excellent with a choice of international or Moroccan. The breakfast is really the best spread I have come across. The lovely owners and staff were a delight and took great care of us.

Beautiful peaceful location, secluded, calm, impressive sweep of coastline. The on site stables, run by a lovely young man, were a highlight. 6 beautifully cared for horses. Good tack, hats and equipment, and wonderful opportunity to ride along miles of wild deserted beach. Magical. The hotel is starting to build some longer riding itineraries every few months (riding up into the hills and stopping at local villages overnight.) This would be a fabulous experience for good / experienced riders.

We had not hired a car so it was a 20 minute taxi ride into Essaouria to do anything else

This place it’s perfect but the people who work there make it even more perfect. We were gonna stay just one day and we ended up staying 4 days. The treatment it’s so good that you feel like home and you don’t wanna leave. Loved to stay here. We will repeat for sure!!! The food of the restaurant is so good, it’s worth every penny. Also, perfect breakfast! Special mention to Hamza, who treated us with so much kindness.

Everything was perfect.

We had a lovely stay here, we had a car so was easy to get in and out of Essaouira. We were travelling with our daughter so the lawn games and pool were fantastic. Quick walk to the beach / dunes which was great to do before breakfast. The room was great, nice and big with kettle and fridge which when travelling with a little one is so handy.

The breakfast was a bit underwhelming.
