Arriving from Marrakesh, Essaouira Lodge was an oasis of calm and elegance. Staff were extremely helpful and professional and the shuttle service provided by the hotel to and fro to Essaouira centre was reliable and great asset to the holiday. An added bonus was being dropped off outside the Carrefour to do a shop and picked up just outside. The heated swimming pool was clean and sheltered, with towels provided. Meals could be taken outdoors on the patio by the pool or inside the restaurant. We ate well there, plenty of options, and serving staff will cook your breakfast eggs upon request. No pressure to dine in, menu changed daily. Our large 3 bed apartment was clean and spacious, with quality bed linen, comfortable beds, good air con, an excellent shower and an outside dining area. Our teenaged boys really enjoyed their stay, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Essaouira Lodge is a perfect place to relax and reset. It has a calm ambience, is beautifully and thoughtfully landscaped, and has great facilities. We stayed in the 2-bedroom house, which was wonderful, with a well equipped living space and kitchen, comfortable beds, and everything we needed. The staff were kind and helpful, and readily available to help. We loved seeing the birds around the pool, the peacocks, and tortoises. The pool is beautiful and clean, perfect for relaxing. The hammam was also great, as was the massage. Although it is far out of town, there are regular scheduled shuttles in and out of Essaouira, which takes around 15mins. The onsite restaurant is good as well, although we preferred to try different places in the town.

It would help if the restaurant had a daytime snack menu - the kitchen prepared us some food when we just wanted a snack, but a clear menu would have been better. The shuttle service could be more flexible, particularly in the evening.

A beautiful and peaceful setting, with kind and helpful staff who are willing to meet your every need. From the moment I arrived I started to relax. My room was upgraded to a suite which gave me lots of space, a balcony with a view of the sunset and a little kitchenette. I loverd the buffet dinner by the open fire and the breakfast in the garden by the pool. I spent a morning relaxing by the pool which has a lovely vibe - relaxing music, drinks from the bar etc. and then spent the afternoon exploring the Medina of Essaouira. I had a car but there is a free shuttle from the hotel that goes back and forth several times a day. Wish I could have stayed longer… I will be back!

I loved it all. The heating system broke on the main pool but they invited me to use one of the smaller private villa heated pools - which I did in the evening, but then was happy to use the main pool in the midday heat. I was very happy to have the options!

Stunning pool and restaurant area, always sunbeds available, it's also really nice to relax there when lit up at night. Breakfast was good, tasty and varied buffet style with eggs ordered from the kitchen. Only ate dinner there once but it was really delicious and offered good value in a stunning setting.

The lodge is about 20km from the city which we loved as it was an escape. They have a free shuttle service (approx 20mins each way) at set times but you had to prebook this which could be limiting if already fully booked. Once you're aligned with the this system though, you just plan better and book ahead. So may not be suitable if you want to be right in the heart of things.

We loved staying at Essouira Lodge, beautiful gardens, a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The pool was heated and set in lovely surroundings, comfortable sun beds and sofas. The free shuttle bus for guests was an excellent service provided by the hotel. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. We will be booking to stay again!

Would have preferred table service at dinner in the restaurant, but this changed to a buffet. More changes to the weekly menu is needed, with more variety.

We stayed in this accommodation for 1 night, a beautifully maintained and arranged property with lots of green areas and a swimming pool. The pool and the area around the pool is very clean and tidy, and the staff is extremely friendly. Upon arrival we received all the necessary information about using the pool, WIFI data, information about breakfast, etc. We had a buffet breakfast in the accommodation, which is available from 08:00 to 10:30h. You are surrounded by nature and you don't have the feeling that you are near the city, but in fact you only need a 15-minute drive to the center by car.

Located in beautiful surroundings away from the hustle bustle of the city the apartment was spacious, clean and more than adequate for our needs. The staff from the receptionists, maintenance, restaurant staff, domestic workers were all very polite, courteous and extremely helpful. They catered for all our needs and I can’t thank them enough. The communal pool was clean and big enough to cater for everyone even in their busiest month. The breakfast was on point, fresh and absolutely delicious. The lodge provides a free regular shuttle to the medina/beach which is about 20mins away. If you book a taxi it is about 200d but the small taxis don’t come to the lodge which is slightly annoying. The lodge has a buffet system for lunch & dinner around 20E per head but I have very fussy eaters combined with sensory issues so we were stuck with eating in places at the medina. I would def recommend this place for its surroundings, facilities and wonderful staff.

Loved everything about it.

The photos don’t do this hotel justice! The grounds are stunningly beautiful with gorgeous stonework and lovely flowers everywhere. Even a resident peacock! We were upgraded to a huge two bedroom ‘maison’ at check in which was fantastic with its own central courtyard. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped. The range of foods at breakfast and dinner was good and the tagines at dinner time were delicious. The restaurant staff were great! We didn’t get a chance to try the spa unfortunately but the pool was lovely, the perfect temperature. We really enjoyed our stay!

My only suggestion would be to invest in new, bigger pool towels. The ones currently available are a little old and tatty, and some are stained. They’re also too small for the sunbeds.

Loved the small house with courtyard and garden. Would stay again. Food was excellent. Staff helped sort appointments in Ess. Staff cleaned the house thoroughly each day.

Laundry dropped off early morning needs to be turned around same day to pack clean clothes ahead of departure next morning. Had reception, knowing my departure, indicated that laundry would not be started the day I dropped it off, causing me to travel with dirty laundry, I’d have asked for some soap so I could wash it in my room myself.

Beautiful lodge. Lovely pool and gardens. Quiet location, very peaceful. House beautifully and tastefully decorated. Loved the peacocks and cats. The free bus to Essouira is very useful.

The food is average. It could be much better and offer more choice. Our preference would to have stayed at the lodge for our entire time, but we had to venture out for better quality and more variety of food.
