First ever review and thought it was warranted, given I read many reviews on this resort and wasn't sure myself about booking. The Hotel is a bit dated but you get 5 star service, the staff couldn't do enough for you. Exceptionally well located, sea view was stunning. The hotel beach area is perfect, well staffed comfortable bed/loungers and good food. For what you pay I think overall great hotel.

We were well taken care of in every way. The staff were smiling and helpful, and the facilities were very good, including a great swimming pool. Our room was super, offering us plenty of space and more than we needed in all ways, but the TV is not for those whose only language is English. The internet connection is very good, and the beach, and the restaurant on the beach are just lovely. As for the breakfasts in the main hotel, they are superb.

We really enjioyed it, and the food was excellent, but the service at the restaurant on the beach (open all afternoon until almost midnight) seemed strange. When you first arrved it could take a while for someone to notice you were there, and then there was a LONG (really long) delay before drinks arrived.

Beautiful hotel. We took a room with a balcony and it was so nice to have a full view of the ocean. All the facilities were great. There's a full aquatic center and gym that we made use of. Private beach area was the most appreciated as was the room service for lunch which was reasonably priced for great quality food. Essaouira is a beautiful little town and the Medina is a quick 10 minute walk from the hotel. Unlike the other big cities, we were never approached by vendors so we felt free to browse the many shops. The fortress is a must visit with lots of quaint restaurants.

Great location, sea-facing and lovely balcony. Close to medina and port. Room very comfortable with kettle and drinks. Nice tied restaurant with great staff on sea side and all combined well to offer cake, candles and a birthday chorus for my wife, executed with style.

We booked partly because of the spa next door but that proved a challenge to use - yes it was a Sunday but girls on reception seemed more concerned about when they finished, rather than providing a service. But no problems - very good and cheaper alternatives in nearby medina area.

Great breakfast spread, lots of options for the whole family. The spa was really lovely and had different types of offerings, which I appreciated. Our room was spacious and comfy, and we had lots of room for everyone. When we asked for a crib for our toddler, they got it for us within an hour and had everything he needed (little pillow, blanket, etc). Staff were kind and nice, very welcoming. The heated pool was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and was the perfect way to end our trip to Morocco.

Nothing comes to mind, we enjoyed everything about the hotel and our stay there.

The location was good, across the road from the beach, and only a short walk to the Medina. The staff were fantastic and the breakfast was very good. The rooms were big and so were the very comfortable beds and amazing pool.

The Resort looks to have been built in the 90s and would have been 5 star and a fantastic place to stay back then. Unfortunately, the level of maintenance is not keeping pace with the inevitable decline and the place is looking dated, tired and many things in need of fixing. Poor maintenance seems to be a common issue in Morocco from our observations. Not sure why, maybe the level of reinvestment is not adequate or there is just a different level of expectation as to what is acceptable.

They were doing renovations when I was there and I was very sceptical however it made absolutely no difference to the stay apart from accessing the outdoor pool which would be too cold anyway at that time of year the bedrooms offered in as alternative were looking onto the sea and was superbthe staff were amazing and was in the café overlooking the beach and see which was really really excellent. I strongly recommend staying at this hotel. I have stayed here many times before.

Very high level of service from the staff the minute you walk in the door. Beautiful well appointed room with a gorgeous big window onto a terrace overlooking the ocean. Loved the complimentary beach beds in front of the hotel, absolutely fabulous- huge perk of this hotel. Excellent food at the beach restaurant.

Just one little problem. Shower leaked all over the floor - it needs a seal on the bottom of the glass. But the staff cleaned it all up when they came in for the evening service.

Perfectly located stylish hotel: across the street from the beach, 5 min walk from Medina. Very helpful and friendly staff, nice and cozy bar. The balcony overlooking the ocean is perfect for sunset watching

Unfortunately, the inner yard and a pool were under renovation.Hopefully it won't take long to complete

We loved the location and in particular the beach bar/restaurant with the terrace overlooking the beach for hotel guests only, also the food and service on the terrace was excellent. Room was v comfortable with nice bed linen. Close to Medina.

We liked everything, the breakfast had everything…my only gripe was they diluted the fresh orange juice at breakfast which seemed strange as you could get wonderful freshly squeezed orange juice everywhere.
