The room was beautiful and spacious. It was centrally located which made it easy to access the centre. Breakfast was included in the price, this was a basic morrocan breakfast but was delicious. Would definately recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Booking.com stated there was free parking but we had to park away from the Riad. There is parking (the port being the closest) around but it is not free. When speaking with the staff, they tried to tell booking.com there is no parking at the Riad, so feel this an issue with booking.com, not the Riad itself.

Location in the Medina on the quiet street. To be able to open the window, size of the room.

The only issue was the bathroom: odd shape and shower door closing inside. Can not imagine someone big size getting in there.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful riad! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was spotless – everything felt so clean and cozy. The staff were truly outstanding – especially the night shift gentleman, the friendly woman at reception, and the lovely lady who served the most amazing breakfast each morning. Their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting essaouira

Nothing all very good

Small Riad style hotel ,lovely staff and great breakfast included. Location is within medina walls so very easy and 3 min walk from the Supratours bus stop. Our shower wasn't very clean looking (bathroom is small) and the shower door was hanging off and unfortunately our room was above a bar which seemed to stay open until 2am and also a bakery which started work at 4am so we had no sleep, a shame as the bed itself was comfortable but it was too noisy for us as relatively light/medium light sleepers.

Our room was noisy above a bar and a bakery so we didn't sleep at all. Some rooms would not have this problem and heavy sleepers may happily have slept through the people chatting In the street znd mopeds by the bar until 2am and the bakery noise from 4am

The room was a pleasure to the eyes! All clean, spacious, with good natural light. Walking distance to the market.

It was very annoying that my card was not accepted at their mobile terminal and work in other places around the country did work. At night, while sleeping several times a light was turning on and off with no reason, as we were sleeping we didn’t noticed that there was no power or wifi till the morning when we try to turn on the lights, so we reported it to the staff and was fixed. Breakfast was good and tasty.

This is a really lovely Riad and I would definitely return. The staff are friendly, professional, welcoming and attentive and were kind enough to let me try and talk to them in my very poor French! The rooms are large, bright and clean and the Riad is in a great location just a short walk from the beach. The breakfast is excellent and the service prompt and efficient.

The only thing we felt could improve the Riad was the roof terrace, which is a lovely sunny spot with a shaded area and comfortable seating. With a little attention it could be a real selling point but we enjoyed spending a leisurely couple of hours there with some mint tea and an audio book.

We really enjoyed the location close to the medina, the port and Supratours stop. The riad is very old and absolutely beautiful! The room was nice and big and clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was amazing, always friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was big and tasty and the coffee was really good. We had a fridge in the room which is always a bonus.

The bathroom is very small and moldy and felt quite dirty. The shower door couldn’t close at all. There was no bin in the room.

We appreciated the location and the fact that it was not noisy even though it was în the medina. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful. The terrace on top of the building was a nice place for having coffee în the morning.

The bathroom was very small but clean. The renovation of the bathroom has left ugly marks which gives you the feeling of something unclean and unfinished. But it is just the feeling. 😊

The Riad Borj El Baroud in Essaouira was an absolute gem for our stay! Everything was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Notably, the sensational breakfast left us impressed every morning. Freshly prepared delicacies, local specialties, and a diverse selection made our day start perfectly. The entire Riad exudes a wonderful charm, from the lovingly designed rooms to the cozy common areas. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional, and they were always ready to assist us. The central location of the Riad allowed us to conveniently explore the sights of Essaouira, including the beautiful beach and the Medina. All in all, our stay at Riad Borj El Baroud was an unforgettable experience. We can wholeheartedly recommend it and would definitely return! Thanks to the entire team for this wonderful experience.
