Prime location

I’d highly recommend staying at Barcelo hotel. The room was large and clean. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a buffet and provided a wide range of options. It’s not the cheapest location in fes and you’re not in the medina (it’s a short and cheap taxi ride away) but the location is still good. It’s next to a busy road but the soundproofing is excellent and I couldn’t hear anything. I slept much better than in other cities where I stayed in a Riad.

There’s nothing I didn’t like about it. I would stay here again.

The location was ideal. We were able to have a leisurely walk down the main boulevard then go to the nearby mall. The staff were friendly upon arrival and always smiling whenever we passed by. The room size was very generous and the beds huge and comfortable.

Our air-conditioning did not cool the room. We complained but there was no action. Also, there was no nespresso coffee refill, when we asked the lobby for some refill, they said it was with housekeeping but they were closed until 9am.

Locación was very good, near a mall, nice walk to the royal palace, and 5min taxi to the medina. Rooms were spacious and very clean Helpful staff

Transfer pre-confirmed from the airport not arranged, had to call the hotel, and they sent someone very quickly

It was wonderful stay for two nights. It had city view and the room was clean. As it was my wife’s birthday, the Manager ‘Fouad’ facilitated in arranging the cake and delivered it to our room at 12:00. This was really great gesture and service. A nominal amount they charged for the cake.

The only challenge was communication as we knew only English and Hindi. They primarily speak Arabic and French. However, at reception we managed to communicate and Manager Fouad was very much reachable person and helpful.

The hotel is not in the Medina at all, the hotel is in the new modern part of the city, next to a huge shopping center. Nice, big and cozy hotel. We had a large room. It has a fridge and a safe. The hotel has a pool, but we didn't use it since it is an outside pool, and it was cold for swimming. Friendly staff. Breakfast served in a Bedouin tent, very nice ambience. This is due to the ongoing renovation of the hotel. They packed us breakfast to take away since we couldn't eat because we had a train at 7AM. They packed enough food for 4 people, fruits, sweets, fruit yogurts, everything.

I would say the disadvantage was a small window (the only one that can be opened) inside the room. The sink in our room was clogged the whole time, this needs to be fixed. We didn't get slippers. Bad lighting in the room, it was pretty dark at night.

The location in the city center next to a mall with restaurants and less than 30 minutes by foot to the Medina. The very comfortable beds. The modern installation and the efficient air conditioning. It was very cold in Fes with temperatures between 2 and 5° at night but we did not feel it, as opposed to a famous riad we have been to a couple of days earlier, were it was very chilly at night. Nice and friendly staff at reception.

There are a a lot of details that need to be looked after. The Hotel Manager should work hard on unleashing the potential of this modern hotel, that is hidden by some lack of professionalism. A couple of examples: the bottle of gel in the bedroom was broken, the phone did not work because the cable was not well fixed (which I did myself), the transfer to the airport came 20 minutes later and responded when I complained: "4:20 or 4:00 is the same....". I am talking 4:00 in the morning! How can 4 clients (including two chlidren) wake up so early and then wait 20 minutes for the driver?

Nice staff, nice hotel , luxurious rooms with an enormous bed. The staff was nice and welcoming. InshaAllah when i visit Fes again I will be staying there. Once again thank you staff.

The location was amazing, staff friendly , clean level is amazing

Small notes especially for muslims the toilets without water shattaf , I heard from the stuff personally renovate the hotel I hide and recommend to use shut off or at least the same toilet that they are using in Türkiye with built-in water shattaf

Receptionist was very friendly and helpfully. Underground parking. Close to the mall.

The hair dryer was broken. The bathroom mixer was also defective. It is a long walk from the center, around 40 minutes. The breakfast is expensive (€17 pp), when you can have brunch at €11 for two. The parking charge was not mentioned before booking.
