The staff at the Riad truly bring the place to life, and Lahcen was amazing from start to finish. On my last day, as I sat on the rooftop waiting for the taxi he kindly arranged, he picked up a guitar and started strumming. Then, out of nowhere, he sang me a song. It’s one of my favorite memories from Marrakech—an experience I’ll never forget.

When I first walked in, I had a bit of a “catfish” moment 😂—the pictures were definitely brighter than what I saw, but that could’ve just been the time of day I arrived. There were lockers, but you need to bring your own padlock (which I didn’t, of course). Still, they assured me there had never been any theft issues, so no worries there. The rooftop breakfast with the sun shining was absolutely superb—a perfect way to kick off the day! I was hoping for a bit of cheese, but hey, that’s just a minor detail 😂.

The location is perfect, a 5-minute walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. Despite being in the heart of the Medina, the room was very quiet, and you couldn't hear any outside noise. What I also loved was the interior design of this riad with the mosaics, the patio too. It was just wonderful ! The staff was top, so friendly, smilling, and welcoming. A big thanks to Mohammed for his time and hospitality. Spacious room, comfortable bed and clean. I can't ask for more for 113 dirhams/night ! Excellent Quality-Price for a bed in 4-Bed Room, including good breakfast. I highly recommend it.

The bathroom was clean, even if it can be improved a little, but it's ok, it's still acceptable and can do the job.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Marrakech I had an incredible stay at this riad! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and traditional Moroccan tea. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and full of character, with comfortable beds and authentic touches throughout. The rooftop terrace was a highlight — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, with views over the city and even the Atlas Mountains on a clear day. This riad made my time in Marrakech unforgettable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and tranquil experience in the city. I can’t wait to come back!

The location and the staff - Mohamed and Huziah, who both made my stay comfortable and a good escape at the end of each hot day in Marrakesh. The air-conditioning worked perfectly, and water pressure was good. The location is great - it’s a short walk to the square and central to all the places to visit.

The WiFi (and cellphone signal) in my private room downstairs gets blocked the moment the doors and windows are closed, but full once you step into the courtyard. But this is how WiFi works, not their fault. The room was like a Faraday cage. A WiFi booster downstairs could be helpful.

Riad Sijane is an incredible place to stay! The owner is very kind, friendly and super helpful with whatever you need. I was able to keep my backpack there while being on a Toubkal tour, could stay until late evening before my bus was leaving. The atmosphere is awesome, it is very calm, nice music is played. I loved the sweet tasting breakfast it was my morning blast! The hostel was very clean, showers and bathrooms separates for male and female, dorm beds had warm blankets. All perfect, I returned once again and then also extended my stay.

The automatic light that was on just 10 seconds at the bathroom drove me crazy. The rest perfect.

The location - it’s right next to the busiest Souk in the Medina. Endless options for shopping and food. All major attractions are only a 5-10 min walk away. The staff - Ismail is a delightful host. He went out of his way to make the stay comfortable for his quests. From giving suggestions to quickly responding to requests to making a friendly ambience with conversations, he gives the hostel a very home-like vibe. The hostel experience - I met amazing travelers from all over the world!

The bathroom could benefit from a bit of renovation for comfort. It’s on a busy street - you will hear the streets, some chicken and chatter. It’s a hostel, so people will be walking in and out. If this is not your thing, maybe look for something a bit further from the medina.

Lahcen, the host, is hands down the kindest person I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with. He’s so accommodating and attentive, making sure every need was met with a smile. The staff were equally warm and welcoming, and I had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people from all around the world. Although I initially planned to stay for just a few days, I ended up extending my stay because I was enjoying it so much. The breakfast was delightful, served with fresh tea and coffee – the perfect way to start the day. I will definitely be back to stay here again – highly recommended!

the vibe was very nice in the hostel, we had Russel a nice guest that stayed for some weeks in the hostel and cooked for everybody. everybody was spending the evening on the rooftop! Also the location was very nice, is close to the center, i had other hostel that were a bit further so I had to walk through empty streets at night, which I don't like as a girl.

the bedding could be a little more hygienic, there were sheets that you could use to put around a blanket. the sheets were clean but I don't know if they clean the blankets. myself I prefer a down to sleep with.
