A lot has been written about the Riads in Marrakesh, and at least ours, the Riad Albatoul turned out to be an extremely tidy, welcoming and peaceful gem in the heart of the Medina! On top, we have been taken care of perfectly by the open and friendly hosts running the Riad, and we enjoyed the quiet nights and very varied and delicious breakfasts. Please note: As the Riad is located in the middle of the very busy Medina (TRULY only a few 100m distance to the main place, Jemma El Fna), we would strongly recommend the shuttle service to/fro the airport, also organized by the Riad. We do rate the full experience with 5 ⭐, the Riad itself even higher, if possible!

Beautiful and cosy Riad well situated in the Medina, very quiet despite it’s location. Ahmed and Mouchine took very good care of us - and always with a big friendly smile. They are extremely helpful with good recommendations and advice. The Riad and the room was very clean and cosy. Breakfast was delicious and we also enjoyed Aisha’s dinner the first night. We booked hammam and massage at the Riad which was a good, private experience and spent many hours enjoying the sunny tranquility on the roof top after a busy day in Marrakesh. The bed was a bit hard to our liking and could benefit from a top madras but otherwise we enjoyed our week at the amazing Riad Albatoul and we highly recommend this for your stay in Marrakesh.

Our stay at Riad Albatoul in Marrakech was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ahmed and Mouchine, who made us feel at home right away. Their hospitality and attention to detail were exceptional, always ensuring we had everything we needed. The riad itself is beautifully designed, blending traditional Moroccan architecture with modern comfort. The central courtyard and rooftop terrace were perfect for relaxing with a cup of Moroccan tea. Overall, Riad Albatoul exceeded our expectations in every way. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, authenticity, and outstanding hospitality, this is the perfect choice.

Ahmed and his brother Mouhcine were very gracious, helpful and accommodating. The location was great; very quiet once in the riad but in the bustle, noise and action of the medina once outside the riad. Photographs online are a good and fair reflection of the riad. The rooms were small (to be expected) but were well appointed and comfortable. The underfloor heating was appreciated on the cold January mornings and nights. We slept well on a comfortable bed. The ensuite bathroom looked luxurious and had an excellent shower. Lots of hangers in the wardrobe which may seem a very small thing but was appreciated nonetheless.

Such a beautiful, calm place in the middle of the Medina. The staff were all incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable - their suggestions for restaurants and places to visit were extremely useful. We loved their recommendations for a restaurant, so much so, we ate there twice! The Riad is very beautifully decorated and the shared spaces are great for relaxation. As we were there in December when Marrakech can be quite chilly, breakfast by an open fire was lovely and warm. Thanks to Ahmed and Moucine for their kindness and knowledge. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend!

Excellent location, a peaceful haven to return to from the hustle of the Medina. Difficult to find so highly recommend arranging a transfer with the owners. Our taxi dropped us on the other side of the main square and just gestured it was 'over there somewhere ' nowhere near in fact. Staff on site could not have been more helpful throughout, amazing. Breakfast was fantastic and we had a lovely dinner there too. Would definitely return again.

The only improvement I could make is to have coffee making facility in the room. Sometimes you just want to lie in bed and laze with a coffee before heading to breakfast, but really it's a minor point. Overall can't fault it.

Marrakech is one of my favourite cities. This was my third trip and the rest of my family’s first time in the city. The riad looks exactly like the pictures. The riad is a 10-15 minute walk from the main square (depending on how busy the pathways are). We arranged our own airport transfers and Ahmed liaised with our driver to meet us close to the riad, walked us into the property, showed us around, and gave tips on downloading Maps.me, places to eat near the riad, and activities to try in Marrakech. He answered any queries we had pre-check in and upon arrival. He was at our beck and call, and everything was dealt with and handled promptly. During the night, Ahmed’s brother Mohcine was there for us, from welcoming us back in the evenings after a day of exploring to making mint tea for us before bed. I cannot fault the service the two of them provided. The service was exceptional. We only tried the breakfast, and you can tell from the food that the chef, Aisha, loves what she does. The food was always warm, fresh, and delicious. The riad was quiet at night, and you couldn’t hear the hustle and bustle of the Medina during the day or night. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bathroom clean, the shower pressure amazing, and the rooms spacious. Everything about our stay was excellent. I’m already planning to return to Marrakech for a fourth time and I'll definitely be staying at Riad Albatoul. I couldn’t recommend this riad enough.

Amazing location very close to the main street and 10 min. walking to the main square. Anyhow, so quiet and relaxing inside: you hear the birds only, then silence and peace. Nice traditional room and bathroom, all very clean. Delicious breakfast prepared daily fresh and served in a very cozy place. Worth it to try the dinner prepared in the Riad by booking it in advance (in the morning). It is really delicious with big portions and romantic atmosphere. Super friendly and helpful staff: Ahmed and his brother are really nice people always willing and available. Absolutely recommended!

Everything about this riad is tranquil. The minute you step inside everything is clean and quiet and the staff are so attentive to whatever you need. We stayed for 3 nights and it was perfect. Close enough to the souks without being directly in the hustle and bustle of things. 10 min walk to the main square. The breakfast everyday was amazing, so much food and was all very nice! We would definitely come back to stay next time we visit marrakech. Can't thank the staff enough for their help organising transport and activities.

The property is located in a top area of the Medina, where you can easily reach all the attractions but at the same time in the Riad there is an incredible peace that allows you to relax after the busy days in Marrakech. The décor is very nice, the terrace is beautiful and the typical breakfast offering fruit, sweet and savoury.
