The location is superb - right in the heart of Thamel yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional hospitality. The staff were consistently courteous, attentive, and genuinely kind. They went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable, even offering to fetch medication when I was unwell. The on-site restaurant was convenient and very reasonably priced. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated the sense of safety, respect for privacy, and the calm, welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay.

There was a faint smell of cigarette smoke in some rooms, which may bother more sensitive guests. Otherwise, everything was more than satisfactory, especially given the price point.

We had an amazing time in Nepal, also with our stay in Hotel Yala Peak Kathmandu! We spent around 3 days in Kathmandu before and after going on a trek, we loved staying here and totally recommend this place! The rooms are clean & comfy, great hot shower, the location is perfect in the middle of Thamel, also very nice hotel for the price! 😍 A short walk away from shops, cafes, and temples! We definitely will be back to this hotel for our next trip in Nepal! The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful! Thank you so much for the warm welcome! ❤️🇳🇵

It was my first ever trip to Nepal and I am in love with nepal forever. Now Nepal is my 2nd go to destination anytime if I want to, the best stay Hotel yala peak Everything is best either you talk about food Yala cafe or the hotel or the Staff (courteous) staff Thnks for making my vacation the best ever

+ Rahim (alias James Franco) is a wonderful host. he comes to the train station at 4:30h in the morning to pick me up and also he help me with some issues. he is funny and he makes you feel at home. I contracted a desert safari with him (wonderful too) and the next day he let me take a shower and rest in his hotel. he always has a chai to offer you :)

We were originally meant to stay at Yala peak for 2 nights, but found ourselves returning multiple times throughout our time in Nepal and spent the best part of a week here. It was by far our favourite accommodation during our journey through India and Nepal. Above all, the staff at Yala were delightful: incredibly helpful, kind and welcoming (thank you!!!). We stayed in three different rooms, all of which were very spacious and comfortable, with access to a balcony where we enjoyed room service dinner one evening. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all delicious and unrivalled by anywhere else we ate in Kathmandu. We left our luggage here whilst we went trekking and then again for a few nights in Bhaktapur, which was a lifesaver. The location is brilliant, in the heart of Thamel with a supermarket two doors down and a short walk to Durbar Square. Amazing value, 10/10. Thank you so much to everyone at Yala for making our stay such a highlight, we were very sad to leave!

I felt very safe in the solid traditional building. I was in Kathmandu during the earthquake in 2015, staying in a nearby hotel, so still felt a little apprehension. My room on the fourth floor was perfect for my week's stay. I had a couple of room requests which were very quickly satisfied. The location is well-known to taxi drivers and people working in the industry, and it is very convenient. The staff go above and beyond to help guests. Thank you to all...🙏

I was happy with everything!

Clean room, comfy bed, super staff (young, welcoming, very helpful and always smiling). Surprisingly quiet. A bit of noise in the early morning but not related to the hotel staff. More the locals going to work. Excellent restaurant. Will adapt food to you likings and taste. Could not ask for better. For the price this is by far the best place I have found.

Noise in the morning but this is not related to the hotel staff. Smokers in the designated spots but can still bother the sensitive non smoker.

I had a wonderful stay at Yala Peak during my first week in Nepal. It was the perfect place to base myself as it was in such a great location. The room was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was okay but very small and in need of some refurbishment but can't complain for the price. The people there were so lovely and accommodating to any needs I had. Always welcomed me with a warm smile. Their restaurant was also wonderful, excellent choice of food and great prices. I lost count of how many times I ate there!

The room was spacious enough for 3 people,, the beds were quite comfortable the WiFi was good, the location great ,and .the staff amazingly friendly and sweet ! It's worth noting that they have kept for us a power adaptor, they have found it and stored it for us. We enjoyed dinner and tea at the café situated at a lovely terrace on the ground floor of the hotel! We're planning to go back at the end of our trip!
