Buffet Breakfast was great - good options/variety, even coffee was good. The best part was Manita - the omelet lady! She was always friendly and keen to know what we were doing as well as making great omelets.

We stayed for 5 nights before our trek and 2 nights after (some nights booked independently and some through World expeditions) We had 4 different rooms (including one at the hotel next door as staff issues closed the hotel briefly). The quality of the rooms differs - the upper levels of the old wing being the best, the "new building" next best, and level 4 of old building were in need of a refurb. Staff were always great and friendly.

I stayed at the Radisson because someone recommended it, and I wanted to be in the Lazimpat area near Thamel for a few days. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Thamel, and situated on a quiet street off Lazimpat. The street itself has every thing you might need: restaurants, shops, travel agent, cafe, etc. A very nice Japanese restaurant and an excellent pastry shop are right on/adjacent to the premises. The hotel is well maintained and we had a room on the 7th floor, which was quiet. The room comes equipped with a water kettle. There is a small minibar/fridge and we appreciated the bottled water provided, but also think that the amount of plastic that is generated from the bottles is probably avoidable (by providing an RO or such facility on each floor, or just providing two larger bottles instead of several small ones ...there has to be a way to reduce plastic usage!). The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Wifi worked smoothly overall, except for a national wide outtage on the first evening (that cannot be helped), although it was a tad slow at times. Kudos to the staff. They were excellent and really lovely people. Housekeeping was efficient and made up the room when we were away in the mornings. The restaurant staff served breakfast with a smile and remembered small requests made the first day on the subsequent days! Breakfast was sumptuous! The hotel has a swimming pool (outdoor) and a very well-equipped gym. But the gym looks to be open to members who are not hotel guests as well, and as a result, tends to get a little crowded in the mornings. It was a little difficult to find the space to use the workout bench! No issues with cardio equipment though (there are three treadmills). There is both a sauna and a steam room, which are clean and excellent. There is a jacuzzi, but despite notices posted prominently, people were getting into these without wearing appropriate swimwear. In all, an excellent stay close to the heart of Kathmandu.

Please provide an option for drinking water that does not involve plastic usage. Everything else was excellent!

wonderful spread, taste for every tourist coming from many countries. Hotel in the main city, all major destination within range of 15 to 45 minutes. WIFI in the hotel good /complimentary. And one more thing though Indian currency is accepted ( only Rs 100 denomination) but Rs 500 denomination not accepted / exchanged either at Hotel or currency exchange counters. Even Airport also do not exchange INR into Nepali currency. Enjoyed Friday evening musical night at roof top of the hotel, where I also played and enjoyed playing Saxophone , singing and dancing with family and tourists. Saturday is the weekly holiday in Nepal.

Only quality of cabs not good, wonder still you will find Maruti 800 playing , though very reasonable cost. But no AC, not comfortable with luggage etc.

Every aspect - from the location, the food, the room service speed, the spacious rooms, the facilities - are amazing. But the one thing that is even more outstanding at Radisson is the staff. Kudos to them for the way they care about the guests - from helping me book a cab to every other request (big or small), they went above and beyond to help me. Definitely coming back here with the family this time.

The staff was excellent very well trained, extremely courteous and efficient. The food was to my liking and full marks to the Chef for the same.

Our Indian Credit or debit cards do not work there?? Inspite of having International payments on all my cards activated, I believe Indian Bank cards are not valid for payment in Nepal & Bhutan. There has to be some alternative method, other than cash?

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Check in and check out were smooth. Location was central. The spa facilities were excellent (especially Reema)

Food The F&B manager and the Chefs need to really improve their offering. The dishes were not well cooked and quite tasteless. The restaurant staff need a lot more training.

Variety of food items meet the requirement of almost every visiting customer. Any thing special can be made to order by staff/kitchen. I am a chronic patient with strict dietary restriction but didn't face any problem. I stayed here for five nights & six days, on personal trip, with my wife and grandson aged 2+ yrs and during my entire period of stay, never faced any issue or problem on any front. Almost every time the breakfast, lunch or dinner was made and served to me in line with my taste/liking or choice or requirement. The staff was extremely helpful and even the Master Chef or the Executive Chef were ready to cook food items as per my requirement. I travel globally but such personalized service and care is not available at all places. Special thanks to Master chef Mr Bhab and Executive Chef Mr Dass and the service staff.

1. Casual attitude of housekeeping staff. Reluctant to refill green tea pouches. I don't take tea and Coffee (medical advice). In the absence of regular and proper refill; I was solely dependent on the quota of Green tea, I had brought from India. 2. Poor availability of travel desk personal. Tried twice on different days, but no luck. The cars attached to hotel charges arbitrarily without any check on them.

The entire staff was excellent. From the doormen to the housekeepers and restaurant workers...they were all friendly, helpful and service oriented. Our rooms were very well appointed and comfortable

The spa in our building was undergoing renovation and closed. I used the steam bath & sauna in the older building, which was adequate but a bit tired. The swimming pool and sun deck was excellent

Very friendly staff. Right from reception desk to housekeeping and room service, every hotel employee was very cooperative and courteous. Breakfast spread was superb. Cab arranged by the hotel for local visits made our trip quite enjoyable.

Location of hotel a bit away from the main thoroughfare.

The Radisson comprises two 'wings' - the old/original hotel and the new wing a short stroll across a courtyard. The old and new share facilities - the extensive gym with pool and relaxing steam room and sauna (simply bliss after doing EBC or similar) in the original hotel and comprehensive spa in the new wing. You can use the restaurants, cafes, bars in either and book to your room regardless whether you are accommodated in the old or new (this is very convenient and seamless). The staff are all very friendly, helpful and professional. There is a very good/cheap laundry service next to the new wing and some nice places to eat (the Namaste Cafe and Vino Bistro to name two) within 200m of the new wing. Would I stay again, absolutely and I would not bother trying somewhere else.

I was accommodated in the new wing which was very nice. My only criticism was the noise made by other inconsiderate people when closing (more slamming) the large wooden bedroom doors.
