The hotel is located very close to the city center. It's a decent hotel, the wallpaper and furniture are a bit dated but the bed was comfortable and the room was big. There's a small TV, a desk and a mini-fridge. In the bathroom there's a large bathtub, with a shower curtain, as well as a large mirror and a hairdryer. There's plenty of space on the countertop.

One of the small hand towels which was replaced during cleaning had some stains, but the other towels were OK. The breakfast options were few, but tasty (3-4 hot dishes, 3 types of chees and 3 types of ham/salami, plus cereal and pastries).

Staff were excellent, very friendly and very helpful, and helped out with some issues I had on arrival quickly and with minimal fuss, in English which really helped me. Breakfast had a good selection, produce was really tasty. Location is great for the train station and and there is a bus stop right at the hotel which will take you to a lot of places around Alkmaar, including the AFAS Stadion, which is why I was in Alkmaar. Although I had to move rooms twice, every room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable, and I seen rooms being serviced regularly on my floor which is always good.

I had to move rooms twice due to what sounded like electrical buzzing from somewhere and I couldn't communicate with reception unless I went to reception personally, because the phones did not appear to work in both rooms - this was annoying because I'd travelled from Glasgow by plane and train and having to go up and down all the time after that journey wasn't ideal. Can't fault the staff though, the room issue was resolved quickly in any case, and I think maybe I had just been unlucky with the initial room location. I may be coming back to Alkmaar in future, and I would have no problem staying here again.

We stayed here for the second time. First time we stayed here only for one day and now for the whole week. The long stay was not worse than the short one. Everything was great again. Good location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. We didn't need a room cleaning every day, but staff whatever gave us a laundry bag with towels, soap etc. every day. It was very nice, but, to be honest, not necessary. I think, It would be enough to have a room cleaning/ laundry bag only twice a week. But in any case, it is very nice, that hotel provides us with it, even if it is redundant.

Excellent location, within walking distance of everything.

It feels more like a 3-star hotel rather than a 4-star. The rooms are spacious but the facilities are outdated. You can hear people walking in the corridor and noise from other rooms. In fact, the room door has a large gap at the bottom, so you can hear people passing by and talking, and light also comes in, which, in my opinion, does not match the description of a 4-star hotel.

Immediately along the bicycle trail through Alkmaar. Close to the Cheese Market /Museum and multiple other restaurants and shops . Relatively secure parking in the open parking garage with locked front gate . Make sure to bring your own heavy duty locks . Reception was friendly and helpful . Room 325 was spacious, bright and clean . Bathroom had great soaking bathtub and was clean with toiletries. Large elevator was available. Breakfast was a bit pricey but had quite a few hot and cold choices .

The prices were a bit high but this is Holland and Alkmaar is a fairly big city . One expects things to be a bit more expensive and they were !

It was in a great position close to the town

Breakfast was not as I'd hoped I am gluten-free, I told the waitress, and she put some bread in the oven to cook for me and promptly forgot and burnt it, it was replaced and I think that may have been burnt 45 mins after arriving for breakfast I gave up and went back to my room, I am also dairy intolerant, there was very little that I could have.

This is the third time that I have stayed in this hotel and I always find it such a good place to stay. The staff could not be friendlier and as I have found a room that I love they have made a note on my name and I always get the same room which has a great jacuzzi bath. Great after a long days work!

Nothing really. I honestly cannot fault any aspect of the hotel although I have never had breakfast as I work till about midnight so I sacrifice breakfast for more time in bed but there is an excellent coffee machine in the room so all good.

Room was good and we had a lovely view. Location is great for both the station and walking into the city.

On-site parking is pretty limited and pre-booking is not available. Pretty tricky for anyone not knowing the area as the places close by are pay by mobile to a Dutch number, or resident only.

Junior suite was beautiful. Loved the jacuzzi bath. Very spacious room with excellent toiletries in the bathroom. Very easy walk into town and for the train. Great location for Oosterhout parkrun.

We had an enormous balcony with a view of the carpark and residential apartments - shame really

Lovely and spacious room. Nice lobby and nice staff. Just outside the old town but a short walk from It. In front of the canals. Lovely view of you have a front room. Our room didn’t unfortunately

Our room faced the back so not nice view. A bit pricey for not including breakfast.
