Ralph and Kitty were so sociable and accommodating. Rhalph made a way to make sure our breakfast was prepared the night before when we had an early morning travel time. He washed our clothes for us and even cooked some chicken bought from the grocery store one evening so that we didn't have to eat out that night for dinner. His B&B was very, very clean. The breakfast was a great cold one with fresh squeezed orange juice each morning. I would love to stay for a month and will make this home again if I am ever in Amsterdam again! There is a medium-sized refrigerator to store some of your own food in.

Just missing a microwave.

The location at a small canal and directly next to Tram 13 was very nice. Rhalf was there to welcome us and share a lot of knowledge about the city. If you rent a bike at one of the close rentals you can bike through Rembrandtpark and Vondelpark to the city center. The breakfast was prepared in a very cute way and more than enough to survive the day. The B&B ist forseen with everything that you could possibly need. It was so well thought through that things you could wish for were already there. Groetjes to the cat at the terras :)

This is not a simple B&B like many others, you can immediately feel at home. Everything is perfect, there is everything you need and the view is wonderful. You will never feel alone because there are many friends: fish, ducks and cats outside but above all there are Ralph and his wife who are the heart of the house. Ralph is a wonderful and welcoming person, an excellent cook and a professional coffee maker. We spent some good breakfasts in his company. The room was perfectly clean and the breakfast was varied and delicious. Upon our arrival Ralph gave us a lot of useful information about the Amsterdam city. The location of the house is excellent for getting around with trams and metro just a few minutes walk away. We hope to return to this city soon and meet Ralph again with his ability to host. Usually we forget the B&B but in this case we won't forget this experience and the kindness of the people we met.

The host was lovely and we had a very comfortable stay. The B&B was clean and felt homely, with consideration for everything we may have needed. Breakfast was delicious and incredibly varied, and would satisfy everyone’s tastes. The location was great with good transport links (tram and metro).

Lack of privacy between rooms; there was only a sheer curtain between the bedroom and shower. I also sustained a second-degree burn from the kettle, which malfunctioned as I was pouring tea - this is less a fault of the B&B and more something to consider.

Spacious and decorated with cool antiques as well as bicycles on the wall. The unit faced a canal where you could see small boats and ducks. Rhalf was very informative and gave us an overview of Amsterdam. He asked about what we wanted to see/do and circled the areas on a map he gave us. The best part was the wonderful breakfast…bread, toast, jelly, homemade chutney, cheese, salami, sprinkles for the toast, orange juice and much much more. We highly recommend this place!

We liked everything!

— We had a wonderful experience at the B&B Amsterdam West. We were delighted with the excellent services offered by the owners and the comfort of our room. Rhalf and Kitty were always available to us and provided useful information about the best places to visit and how to get there . The room and the bathroom were very clean and tastefully decorated and the terrace is a great plus because it's right on the river. . The breakfast was delicious, with fresh and high-quality products . The location is ideal for exploring Amsterdam, being close to the most popular tourist attractions as well as public transportation. We had a wonderful vacation and we will surely be back .

We loved our stay with these hosts and their two cats. The appartment was very nice and stylish, everything was superbly clean and the proximity of the canal was very unusual (at least for us) - in a good way 🙂 The breakfast upstairs and a nice chat with the hosts was a perfect start to every day. The place is conveniently located just a 2min walk from tram 13 which goes directly to the city centre, but also not very far from the airport. We will definitely stay here again next time we go to Amsterdam!

We liked everything! If I had to find a flaw it would be a lack of storage space (no wardrobe or a chest of drawers) - no problem for our 3 day stay but it may be for someone who stays for a week..

I recommend the accommodation to everyone who wants an authentic Amsterdam experience. The host is very friendly and gives a lot of advice on trips and everything that goes with it. Breakfast is so nicely served with home made things. Everything about the accommodation is excellent. The location is close to the city center. Matero station and tram is 3 min by walk.

Everything was perfect

Ralph is very kind and thoughtful. His guidance and chats with him during breakfast added a personal touch to our trip. The place is immaculate and Ralph without even asking us, cleaned up our rooms for us. I feel embarrassed for not keeping the room tidy during our stay because we were always in hurry. The location is very accessible. Tram station is a few minutes walk from the place. The breakfast was delicious. He gave instructions on what places to visit on the map for best experience. I highly recommend this place if you are in Amsterdam.

Not a serious issue but would be nice if there were a ventilation system in the toilet downstairs.

Very kind and helpful host – always ready to assist and gave us great recommendations for places to visit. Excellent breakfast with a wide selection. We also really appreciated the offer of an early morning ride to the airport. We definitely recommend this accommodation!
