The hotel is very conveniently located close to the Papendal congress center, which makes it a good landing spot for business trips. The surrounding forest is great and connection to public transport from Arnhem is super. The rooms are OK clean, although there was quite some layer of dust on the TV/shelfs. The bed was too soft and not comfy. The douche/bathroom was nice and specious, and the assortment of personal care products is always a treat at Van der Valk.

This hotel is absolutely brilliant, I loved the bath, comfy bed, quality linen, and the brekfast was very very nice. Big thanks to the staff, young lady with blonde hair and gentleman with erm less hair were really friendly, helpful and gave great information about bus routes and local area. Next time I'll stay a little longer in this beautiful area of the Netherlands.

Nice place and location, they checked me in early, comfortable spacious room, very quiet for most part. Great breakfast.

Something to improve is the door to the room, I could hear the people walking talking loud when passing my room which was annoying. I would have preferred double bed than two very narrow beds. It felt too warm in my room.

We stayed here as a small group of motorcyclists while touring the ww2 sites in the area. The hotel is centrally located for all the key locations we wanted to visit and has a huge car park that felt safe / secure. There isn't really any restaurants within walking distance so we ate our evening meal at the hotel and the food was amazing and highly recommended. We didn't opt for breakfast as this was an additional 23 euros. Nice coffee making facilities in the room and the basement bar was also a great place to relax and try some of the local beers.

a lot of superficial damage to doors and carpets all around the hotel. very expensive EV loading charges (>€1 per kWh) something which wasn't really clear upfront. staff at check-out could have been a little more friendlier

The room was very spacious, comfortable and equipped with a Nespresso machine. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The food was very good. Breakfast has a wide selection. In particular, we had a wonderful dinner experience thanks to Omar's service. He is really efficient and professional!

No refrigerator or bottle water in the room. One of the two coffee machines was out of order at breakfast, making the queue very long.

The breakfast was varied and good. The room was spacious and I liked the fact that the bath and shower were separate. The evening meals were enjoyable. The parking was free and plentiful. Thank you.

Breakfast was awesome, big and various. Restaurant was good, the room was ok, bathroom could be bigger, in particular the shower.

Was a pity during our permanence there was a down in the water so we couldn't shower for the entire first day. It was obviously not a fault of the hotel but that a little bit made our experience worse. The Hotel looks anyway amazing!

Ground floor room had an exit to the car park which was invaluable to get the dogs in and out without going through reception every time. Lovely staff and a great restuarant.

The room had no air conditioning on a hot weekend, we had our own fans but I'm sure reception would have them if we had asked.

Hire of the bicycles went very good. Spacious room. Helpfull staff. Adequate starting point for visiting the neigbourhood by bike (Arnhem, Parc Hoge Veluwe)
