Very nice hotel in a very nice neighborhood, modern and clean rooms, comfy beds, very friendly staff (also very child friendly). Train stop Sportpark within 5 min walking distance.

The only thing that was not perfect was the room temperature, which was rather cold. The small heating in one corner of the room was not very effective. Duvets were warm though, so we didn't feel cold during the sleep. The room could also not be made fully dark during the night (window in the ceiling with transparent cover), which was not an issue in winter, but might disturb the sleep in summer when it's light outside.

- Friendly and helpful receptionist. Service was great. - Very peaceful and quiet as it’s on the edge of town. Easy to get to nature (De Hoonebourg) from here and there is a train station (Hilversum Sportpark) within 6 minutes’ walking distance. - Room was clean, bathroom was spotless, and the one I got was spacious.

- Location is a bit inconvenient if you are not so mobile, but otherwise it is a pleasant stroll into town. - Nice room right under the roof, very peaceful BUT very warm on hot summer days, especially in the daytime. Was asked if I preferred a smaller but cooler room on the ground floor but a fan worked well in the evenings to bring in the cool air, so I stuck with the original room.

Evening meals were exceptional, the steak was one of the best I have had. Desserts were expensive @ 13 euros each so didn't try any. There was a good selection for the breakfast buffet. Staff were friendly.

Hotel was a little tired. I was slightly disappointed when we booked in, as the photos looked a lot ' posher' than it was. After saying that, our bedroom was lovely and clean and the shower was powerful.

The hotel is nicely located, with well maintained and comfortable rooms. At the time of our visit there were no conferences ongoing. The restaurant staff in the evening was lovely and the food very nice.

Breakfast is far too expensive for what it is at 29 euro per person, that can’t be justified and was the most off putting. Walls are thin in the rooms. Staff at reception had a bit of a ‘it is what it is’ attitude when answering questions - perhaps that is cultural but it didn’t feel very client oriented.

It seems to be an old building, but beautifully renovated and with modern rooms. It's very close to a train station (Hilversum Sportpark), though not the central station (which` is 20 mins walk, well to do without a suitcase). I particularly liked the late checkout option for 25 euro extra. That was not a problem at all, and it's nice to have a shower before a long flight. From Hilversum Central station many trains go to Schiphol Airport. Near Hilversum Central, there are some nice places to go out, and if you like to bring cheese home, then go to the market on Wednesdays or Saturdays. There is an excellent choice coming straight from the farms.

Nothing, all good

Stayed in a 'Comfort' grade room and found it to be perfect for my requirements. Room was clean, in good repair and easily big enough for a single traveler - larger than other singles I have stayed in - and had twin beds pushed together. Bed was made up every day. There was a kettle and cups (china) with drink sachets (tea, coffee, sugar and creamer). There was a desk fan stored in the wardrobe which was welcome as the day temperature was 30+ degrees). The room safe was large (enough for a laptop I would guess) and functioned easily (tip - instructions say enter 3-6 digits, I at first tried 4 which didn't work - use 6!). The Bathroom was spacious, the shower is a very large walk in variety with a 'Rain shower' type head or alternative hand unit. Everything was very clean. There are liquid soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers - all full. I ate dinner in the evening on the terrace as it was so warm during my stay, and the food was excellent. The service from the staff was also excellent - despite them having 2 large parties to serve, as well as single me (!) Also the reception staff were all friendly and helpful. Additionally, it is possible to hire bicycles by the day - which I did - and they are in good condition (kept in a covered and locked bike store), have integrated lights and a lock. I can recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

I think maybe the hotel had been recently refurbished (?) and with the carpet being new, I found the room door was a rubbing bit when opening (hardly a problem, really!)

The staff are all so friendly and so accommodating they are willing to help you as best they can! The bar man even let us use his phone to call a local number as ours wasn’t connecting! As well as this due to our late arrival they still opened the bar to ensure we could get a drink! Outstanding customer service! Nothing is too much to ask, the location is perfect with a short walk to the high street and the train stop! Can’t recommend enough! Can’t wait to get back already!

The shower was absolutely fabulous and there were enough towels. Parking was very good. Excellent access (Rm 118). Short walk to an excellent Pizza restaurant (Houtoven) and only a bit further to the railway station for Amsterdam.

Double bed was 2 singles pushed together that we couldn't stop pushing apart and the bathroom fan wasn't working. Cups were ridiculously small.

Perfect location for our needs and great food

It was very hot and no air-conditioning in the rooms. Our room was on the second floor facing the front of the hotel which faced a rotunda and it was very noisy. The red rug was old and dirty , it was extremely noticeable and took away from appeal.

Staff was very friendly. The hotel is very stylish, in an old building, but with lots of character. Room was comfortable, a bit small and sometimes you could hear neighbours or people walking on the corridors. It was about a 20 min walk to the center of Hilversum.

Sometimes a bit of noise from other people. But not enough to keep you awake.
